They make sure it's safe for you to donate with through screening process. will say a few things I would say that I think should be a bit better is the line for screening since at times there are huge lines at the start of the day with with only 2-3 screening booths open. Another thing is that when it comes to samples every 4 months they'll call you to come in for a sample retake, which is fine, but never any notification that your sample was good and you can continue to donate which can be be stressful at times. but besides those two things I've always have a pleasant experience here over the 4 years of donating at this location read more

I cannot believe I almost gave my important information to these people. I thought it seemed fishy that they absolutely need your physical social security card, because most places can verify your identity with just the number.... Upon calling their customer service number and asking why they specifically need the physical card, not just the number itself, he could not give me a valid explanation. Then I do some research, only to find they have a lawsuit for a "data breach" where important user info was leaked... including social security numbers. I did all of the pre-qualifications and password no problem couple weeks later I call asked if I can donate to see us so I drive down here get dropped off and then I'm told I have to redo everything again which takes hours and then I asked to speak with a manager after he had a tooth from that gentleman at the counter helping me which is not private at all. Well it's very disappointing to donate your plasma and then have to wait 24 hours to get paid as we are not employed by Octopharma plasma center but the rules have changed not for the better as express pass doesn't have the same affect as it used to. I can't go home because I just barely had enough money to get to the center but I guess I have to borrow money from an app online if not I will have to ask someone with a kind heart to please donate to a good cause so I can get home it's real cold outside and we just had a big storm come thru it really sucks worse comes to worse I will be forced to seep in my truck this is not cool at all why punish the needy they should punish the greedy who is making us wait for our pay not cool at all i am freezing in my truck i should of brought my thick blanket as i am coming from out of town to donate as the struggle is real why make it worse do better . read more

So unprofessional ! I've come here 2 years now not sure if I will again after my experience a few minutes ago. I live where it's over 100 in summer consistently. Today I was wearing an outfit from Amazon it's summer top and shorts set. I was asked by a female worker what was I wearing and this is after my screening and after I was hooked up to the needle she said I was dressed inappropriate and not to wear this again. I wore this about 2 months ago and one of the workers complimenting me Maybe she is so uncomfortable with her own body that she insults clients and she did so in front of five men that were around me doing their blood donations. she should work on her professionalism and not come to work all tired and worn out looking with a bad attitude most of them have bad attitudes here anyways there's a select few people that I like that work here can't let you read in line for two or three hours with only one worker and everybody taking breaks happens all the time just overall rude avoid if you can I just needed the money today and it's helpful when you're in a pinch anyways girls don't be haters geez read more

Many techs are rude, slow and get impatient when you ask questions. I've had my veins blown many times by the same phlebotomist, it happens but it's constant with her. The manager Jordan doesn't want to hire intelligent hardworking women who are passionate, graduated from college with honors and in general successful in this field. Instead she rather keep workers who are disrespectful and lie about vital signs. Hopefully management can open their eyes soon as this place has great potential. read more

Okay so i waited in line for about 2 hours just to get screened and literally only took less then 5 minutes to complete. Mind you this process only takes 45 minutes to complete if they have the right people completing their tasks on time. There's no communication within them and they only talk unless it's necessary, instead of telling each other what the game plan is to get people in and out much faster. They do take good care of us but they just need to be much faster at this. It's just too slow for the amount of people they have working in the floor. I would say the managers and assistant managers should help once in a while to help speed up the process because office work is not that hard compared to what their workers are dealing with in the floor. So please managers and assistant managers help out your team on the floor a little more. It makes the process so much easier and faster for everyone. I still do recommend this place but it just needs to be much faster. Also if they have a lot of callouts I would consider hiring more people. read more

This place is always understaffed. Be prepared to spend a good chunk of your day here. 5-7 hours for a new donor and 2.5 to 3 hours as a repeat donor. Their system needs a lot of work. Very, very slooow. When I arrived today they had 1 screener in the middle of the day. 16 people in line. A second came after about 25 min. Took over an hour to be screened. Then went to the back to wait to be called to donate. 9 people people ahead of me. In the 40 min I waited there 3 people were called. Finally just had to leave. They are not respectful of peoples time. Only half the room is being utilized. But, would matter if they had it all open. They only had 4 people working in the back. Several workers just walking around. Very frustrating. read more

I used an express pass on a slightly above busy day and I was not happy with how slowly rushed at all into the process. I was screened in a hurry but made to wait 34 minutes after being put in a bed, 6th behind only one new donor; (by the employee Kiera) before Roxana came and assembled my donation container. Then I was finally hooked up by Roxana whom was working incredibly fast paced after being placed 6th in line behind the others screened around the same time, despite using the express pass to jump the line... Once I got hooked up, I'm sure it will go faster and i will be out of here faster than it took for them to to find time to stick me and start the donation process. Not a good place to waste an express pass. It saved me no real time to get out or get done earlier than usual for being slightly busier than usual. And seemingly under- staffed. This was my 3rd times donating and each time when they stuck me it was alittle rough but nothing like the last time. The lady stuck me and then continued to fish for a vein making it super uncomfortable, finally stuck my vein (i never had issues before) after switching arms because my arm started to swell they continued to push on it to make sure it was ok, i told the lady it hurt and she said shell bring an ice pack (she never did) then when wrapped it wrapped it so tight my fingers were going numb. The other side they stuck me on was another girl who did it and she got it perfect no pain nothing. However after i left i wasnt given any information on how to care for my arm. It hurt just to hold my arm up in a bent position. My hand couldnt stop shaking. And now im left with such an ugly HUGE bruise. Thankfully it doesnt hurt but it legit took 7 days for it not to hurt. First off, this place is clean! The staff is all very friendly and helpful, they'll answer any questions you may have. The process takes about an hour to an hour and a half after your first visit, which includes a physical exam. And I like the debit card for getting paid. The only reason I knocked off a star is that they really need a security guard in the parking lot. read more

This place is really clean and the staff are really nice. Right now until July something , Sorry I can't remember the exact date, You'll get $100 special promo forms the first 10 visits. If you refer a friend you'll get $150, the friend on the second time he donates your card will get credited $100 and on the third time they donate your card will get $50. I believe when I asked the person they told The needle gauge is an eight for all you freaks out there. Make sure you don't drink cold water as one time I was not able to donate because my mouth was too cold and my temperature rate was too low. So I had to wait another day. After your initial visit you can use the website to answer the 20 questions and go straight to the screening process for a faster visit see pic. The first time it'll take about three hours and subsequent visits varies but I would say about 2 hrs is what I have averaged every visit after that. read more

The center is okay. If the staff are working and doing what they need to you can get in and out of there easily, but they usually have 2-5 people standing in the back or taking continuous breaks?? Clean and the 2 head Phlebotomists are great with gentle hands. I'm upset that I drove 23 mi from Oildale to donate but was told I couldn't because of a 99.7 temperature...are you kidding. They usually offer to sit and wait for 10 minutes and try again but I was told to return tomorrow. I won't be returning since this is a pick and choose kind of place. Also for new donors going through the physical exam i recommend go at 7am to be first, they have regulations of needing at least 2 emergency staff on the floor but will send on to take a break when there are 2 ppl waiting for physicals? They don't work right lol. read more
