As far as Customer Service goes I'd say this place is top notch and the wait staff were on point, constantly courteous and engaged, I was approached by all three of them and they were always kind, none were rude to me, I even tested them by pushing the limits a little bit, they responded exuberantly, the dining experience was lively and happening, and finally a most impressive kitchen staff as the winning experience for three separate entities, these badass mfs worked like a well oiled machine in a tightly spaced kitchen, all quietly communicating and sending out dishes with no problems, and a full dining room all grinning and glowing with passion for their work. The beef brisket was one of a kind, food critics can kiss my ass, it was refreshingly fiery and perfectly balanced with homemade pickles and onions, the fries were perfect, crispy and crunchy, and mashed potatoes at heart, I'd recommend a sweet finish, like some freshly baked nuts roasted with honey, truly a train hoppers paradise. Off The Griddle is a fantastic place to get breakfast! It is our first time, but my husband Jason and I vow to be back again. Their lunch options and drink menu look awesome too. We are celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary and taking the day to your some of the places that our careers and children take precedent over. This was our start! I need to add here that I am also gluten intolerant and allergic to wheat. The majority of their menu is also gluten free!! It was Saturday morning and the place was packed. I'm not sure if it was good timing or if the wait staff just felt very bad for me because I was sheet white and had no voice, but we were sat very quickly. The brunch drink special was some hot alcoholic tea. Should I have been drinking when I was barely surviving? No. Did I order it? Yes. Do I regret it? No. The drinks were a little pricey. The mimosas were about 6 total sips and $8. The menu was so expansive, and my brain cells were slowly depleting from fever, so it took me about 19 minutes to order. Now, I can't fully attest to the taste of the burrito that I ordered, due to the fact that I could barely breathe, but I will say that the ingredients seemed like they would be great and I finished all of it so.... anyways, I almost immediately regretted not ordering the biscuits & gravy, but I'll have to come back for that. Every time I've been to Portland I've made a concerted effort to make it to this place, and for good reason. A few years ago I tried some burritos, waffles the crunchwrap. This time I tried the biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns. The gravy was fresh and herbaceous while also having a rich umami flavor. The hashbrowns had a nice crispness and were seasoned well.
