Called an associate and they called store manager, manager returned items as I was on the phone and could not get it unless I pay 2x as much. This is very unprofessional and rude, drove 1 hour away for specific item. Over the phone they kept telling me to buy it again at regular price. Never buying anything online again from Office Depot. I went in there to have two small packets bound. Usually takes no more than 1-2 minutes elsewhere. Here, I was told it would take 2.5 hours because there was 1 person ahead of me and another who "was showing up later." I had no idea you can make appointments but OK. Both projects ahead of mine were small but the employee said "she was the only one working in that area." I ended up leaving. It's not hard to punch a few holes and wind a spiral binding spine. I'm starting to hate Office Depot more and more, and their webpage is so confusing. I called this morning to ask if they had a specific paper in stock (their website said I could order it and they would have it within the hour, but I don't trust that either - see other reviews). The lady I spoke with said they had it in store, so I drove down and went in to find, WHOOPS, they didn't have it in stock. The man I spoke with was friendly and apologetic, but I would not have come in if I knew it wasn't there (or ordered it online)... that's why I called! I'd rather be on hold for a while and get the correct answer, thank you very much. Perhaps she could have given me a friendly suggestion such as: "Oh, we don't have that in stock, but you could order it through ____." OR "We don't have that, but we get new shipments of paper every ___." Also, there were too few workers in the store. Management needs to have more on hand for questions/busy hours. I'm actually a big fan of Office Depot. I frequently use their printing services and they are far more superior and affordable than Staples in this area. It was my first visit to this Burbank location. I started off in the Printing/Copy counter and got a few items that were a great deal on sale. Cameron had a relaxed, friendly demeanor helping me with my copy order. Juan went above and beyond with a silly paper clip request I had but we loved his energy. Went to send a Fed Ex package as this location. The guy was a total jerk to me. Horrible customer service and would not give me a receipt. Told me to go somewhere else if I needed a receipt. Really? Just bafflingly rude! Wow! I asked if a job could be ready within the hour and the manager raised his voice at me as if that was the most ridiculous thing anyone had ever said. AWFUL SERVICE! Usually I don't like leaving a bad review but for this Office Depot, they deserve it. I recently purchased a desk from this Office Depot and how I regret doing that! I went into the store with my dad to the section with the desks and I had seen one that I liked. That specific desk also came in black, which was not a floor model. The man that was helping me seemed like it was my fault that he was working at Office Depot, showing awful attitude. Anyways, I had a change of heart after the desk was already assembled and called and spoke with one of the store managers (Coronado) to see if I will be able to return it like that. After waiting and waiting to speak with "another store manager", Coronado told me that I will not be able to return the desk assembled and I must un-assemble it, put it back into the original box, then return it. First of all, the desk was already so hard to assemble that I think we did someone else a huge favor by assembling it. The Office Depot staff was very rude and unprofessional and I will make sure that no one else buys their office furniture from this Office Depot. read more

Less Option and the representatives are not to friendly. Last week I went to the store for Laptop trade in and 2 persons were there to assist me. The problem stated when both of them were contradicting each other about price value. After that one left and second one was trying to use 3party software to check the value. He tried couple of times but he was not able to do anything. Finally I said I don't want to do trade in and I left. Came in today to buy a new office chair. I found one I liked and looked on their site for a coupon. I found a coupon for 20% off one item. Perfect I thought! I go to the register and the lady couldn't scan the barcode on the coupon so she entered it manually. The computer then said that the coupon had already been used. What?.. I just found this coupon on their public website. She calls the manager, Conrado, over and he says in a very rude manner that ummm it's been used. It was almost like he insinuated that we used it before and are trying to use it again. I told him its on their website and then he's like yeah but if someone uses it it makes it ineffective anymore. I've used a different office depot to drop off USPS shipments before, but had to use this one today, unfortunately... There were literally 3 employees working the "shipment/printing" area, and I waited 30 minutes just to have someone take my already labeled shipments. Nobody even asked me what I needed, when there was one clearly free employee, slowly stacking some papers into a box that obviously could be done later. Other than stacking some papers sometimes, he was just walking this way and that and ignoring us customers that needed help. There were only two of us. I eventually just stared straight at him walking back and forth in front of me, and he blatantly ignored us. Should've looked at his name tag and gotten his name, he should probably get laid off. I recently purchased an office chair here at the Burbank Office Depot. There were multiple issues with the chair, which was no fault of the store, just the way the chair was manufactured. It could have been a painful experience, but it was just the opposite. I was treated courteously and everyone did all that could be done to resolve my situation. Went in to purchase my office supplies like we always do. As soon as i walked in i got scared. there female employee yelled really loud "can i help you find anything" i froze for a second. i said i know my way around thank you. I came in on Monday for there back to school sale when the items where cheap for 1 cents . The lady who was the cashier was an older lady . She was very nice and friendly. I did 3 transactions that day . I came back on Wednesday on the same week to get more school supplies and to get the items on sale . I did three transactions using my rewards card and then it didn't let me do a four one . The lady who was working the cashier called the manager and said I was doing 4 transactions and he was so rude to me and was saying how is that possible if there was only two people there. My other was in the store next door . He didn't believe me . He was arguing with me in front of people and my son which he has adhd and that made my son really upset. I had really great service when I came here on Saturday, and it warranted a review. I went in to get photocopies on pink paper, get my papers cut into quarters, and to buy 60 ball point pens in bulk. I was in and out within 15 minutes, having spent less than $15 dollars. WIN! The people were so friendly and accomodating - it only costs $0.10/sheet for a photocopy, and only $0.02 more to have photocopies done on colored paper. (=TOTAL $0.12/ sheet). And the pens - $4 for 36 pens!! Usually Office Depot can be super pricy, but today it was awesome! read more

Great location, but a bit run down. Well stocked lots of parking, well most of the time. The parking gets kind of cooky in the mornings and afternoons with the high school across the street - that's when parking is awful. The print center provides a large array of services, but the turn around time is slower than I would expect for the prices you pay. All in all, this place gets the job done and is conveniently located, so I come here regularly and will continue to do so. read more

So frustrated with this place. I needed printing and was told to send them files so I did. It took 3 hours for me to load and send them. Then they told me they don't open those type of files when they didn't inform me this. They finally agreed they would accept them and told me to wait another hour. After an hour I called back and they told me they were too large of files and they wouldn't print them. Such a waste to make someone wait 4 hours when initially you said you would print them! Most of my experience is at the print center, but they do decent fast work and the staff are always friendly. The quality isn't what you will find at a good print shop; they don't check for color correction, etc. However, if your in need of a quick turn done while you wait at a price point that is cheap, they can do that. The staff is always happy to help, and their customer service is pretty darn good! I wish the store would update their computer and software system though as one of their 3 computers in the center always seems on the fritz. read more
