I haven't lived in the area for a year or so, but I wanted to give a positive review - considering I always had a very cordial experience when I lived in the area and did my laundry at this facility on numerous occasions over the duration of many months and years. One thing I will say is that, at times, the change machine did not spit back out precisely the amount owed to me in quarters. Of course, existing in Los Angeles County at all is dreadfully expensive for all of us - so I can understand if renovations on such machines have not been achieved, particularly since these malfunctions occurred during one of the last times I used this facility. With that being said, the staff who were there were always extremely understanding of my problem and were continuously ready to hand me the appropriate change in quarters owed to me. I am quite thankful for that. Considering much of my financial and employment-related life was in shambles during the last months in which I was using this facility, I greatly appreciate the amicability from the staff who were always present when I used their services. Having empathetic staff working at a place such as a laundromat (I think, technically, you all refer to yourselves as a launderette) is extremely valuable in a place like Venice Beach, California, where the cost of living in drastically increasing by the day. Let's begin with my washing machine is waiting for a part to be fixed. So here we are. Here are the positives. My duvet is super fluff so off I went: prepared with change, pods, and timeframes. Popped the duvet insert and it's cover for $3.75 and left for the 30 minute wash cycle. The owner seemed helpful and there is parking in the rear of the building. That's a major plus, because it's Venice Beach, parking is Golden. Negatives: the laundry machines appear to be from the Stone Age. The laundry countertops are dusty. And odd personalities are meandering about here. Best to drop off and return when yr wash cycle is complete. Wash was completed; I extracted my bed linens and hurried home to dry them, comfortably. read more

They Couldn't find my brand new pants that I brought to get hemmed and then when they did finally find them they looked like they had been worn. I went to Rosebud dry cleaners with some vintage fur coats, all of which were fairly dirty and slight wet. There was a vintage coat they "could not clean" and left in sealed in a garbage bag until I returned, letting it mold. No one called to inform me, it was just left to rot essentially. I had to immediately throw the coat away and not only did they refuse to take any responsibility, but put the blame on me for waiting too long to pick up. Terrible service. read more

Wow. Hands down, the best alterations on the Westside. Spent 3 months dealing with a nightmare cleaners on Washington in MdR, who butchered ten hats and charged me FOUR times as much as Rosebud, who did, by far, superior work. They saved my only hats somehow-- with hand stitching and a machine, both! It was a clear display of dazzling craftsmanship and skill. However. Not only did this team kick booty on *really listening* and understanding what I was asking for and executing with extreme excellence-- both the degree of kindness and intelligence displayed, is a gift that has no equal. Also discovered it is a family team, which makes it all the more beautiful. They really care about their customers. They will have my business and support forever. DO NOT bring your clothes here. Took a pair of $200 pants in to have a button fixed, two days later they told me they lost the pants. They will only cover/repay $72. They tried to absolve themselves by stating 'accidents happen', but it's fair to say that not losing customers' clothing is the bare minimum expectation for a cleaners/tailor. Apparently this was too big an ask for this service provider and they just shrugged it off. One would expect a service provider to make proper restitution to the customer, so that they can replace the property that was lost, however I was told that even if a customer brought in a $1000 brand new shirt and they lost it, they would only repay up to 10x the cost of the service (e.g. you bring in a $1000 brand new item for a $6 hem, they lose the item and give you $60 for your troubles). If you value your belongings, you should think twice about handing them over to this place. They do not care about your property, or any losses incurred due to their incompetence. read more

The owners of the place are nice . The place is clean . If you want to do your laundry here , don't expect that you will get it back . Even if you are close in the vicinity , I have had my things stolen and disappearing from this place. It is disappointing because it's the person working there who is giving things away . The signs say the employees are not Responsible for lost or stolen items , but at the end of the night , I watched the closing employee give away to strangers on the street , the remainder of The items left in the dryers at the end of the night . I come here regularly for dry cleaning - dry cleaning is always done when you want it. They have same day dry cleaning if you bring it in before 10AM and pick up after 5PM. The dry cleaned clothes don't have that heavy chemical smell which I like. They did lose a blazer of mine, but they eventually found it after a month. They were very apologetic and offered me a free dry cleaning credit when a month had passed and they couldn't find it. read more

Came here to do some laundry. I believe this is my first laundromat experience. I needed some change for a 10 and the man behind the counter working the dry cleaning area gave me a five and 5 singles. They have a change machine that produces quarters for singles, fives, and tens. Washing loads in a regular size washer is 9 credits which is 9 quarters, $2.25. They have some larger washers for more credits as well. Drying loads in a regular size dryers on the left wall of the facility is $0.25 for 7 minutes. They have plenty of washers and dryers available and enough space to fold clothes as well. They have a television playing regular daytime tv and they have a couple arcade games in the back. There are a couple of spots to sit while you wait but not many. Overall, Rosebud was clean and convenient and I didn't have any issues. read more

My friend parked his car in their lot not realizing that he had parked in front of their storage shed. We were doing our laundry when a short woman came in and started screaming at him to move his car because she couldn't get into the shed to get her cleaning supplies. We were so taken aback and completely confused about why she was screaming at us. My friend moved his car and after that she calmed down. We had no idea who she was we guessed she works there. Other reviewers have hit the nail on the head: this is a mom-and-pop shop, but they do not actually do the work on site. So you do not end up with the service and, more importantly, accountability that "mom and pop" implies. They might do the fluff and fold, but definitely do not do the dry cleaning and professional laundry on site. I come here again and again for two reasons. 1. They are open on Sundays and 2. I can walk from my apartment. Clearly these are important decision factors for me because they regularly violate several other requirements I used to have. Namely they are expensive and they lose your clothes. More than one occasion now they have lost my shirts and/or given me someone else's. When the latter happened, I of course returned what wasn't mine. But my shirt was never recovered. I was given a credit which was only about half the cost of the shirt. Yes, it's a mom-and-pop, and yes they're very friendly and efficient, but they don't do the ironing or dry-cleaning on site, it's farmed out, so they have the same potential to ruin your clothes as any other cleaners. I brought in a wool sweater and specifically asked that it not be hung on a wire-hanger, and the owner told me that of course, it would be folded over the bar of a hanger. But when I picked it up, lo and behold, it was hung on a wire hanger, creating very pointy shoulders which stand up on the garment. He offered to redo it, but I needed the sweater at that point. Worse, I brought in some shirts to be washed and pressed, including a brand-new gift, an expensive shirt I'd worn ONCE. And one side of the collar got FOLDED in the press, creating a strong crease and ironing glaze. When I brought it in, he offered to re-do it for me "no charge." Really?!? No charge for ruining a shirt and having me have to come back twice to get it right? I asked for a refund, and he said he "couldn't" give me the lousy two bucks, since the work had been done. More like the damage. I'm going back to ironing my own shirts. Two stars instead of one because they use perc-free dry-cleaning (supposedly anyway) though you pay for the enviro-friendly quality, it comes out to about $5/shirt. read more

Rosebud cleaners are excellent. Tony (I wish I knew his last name) is sooo nice and helpful. I went in with a broken laundry bag (stupid ikea) and he gave me a new one that I love! For free!! And since I always use him for my fluff & fold, he knows my name and will help me. He knows that I work really late hours so if I call and tell him that I am on my way, he will stay open just for me. I've been coming here for 9 years. I've always had excellent service when it comes to fluff n fold and dryclean. A little on the pricier side, but always super quick. If you get it in before 10am, you can pick up fluff and fold the same day after 5pm. And drycleaning usually is only 1-2 days (sometimes same day). Less than 5 stars because the coin laundromat portion is not always the cleanest and sometimes has vagrants milling about outside. But hey, that's Venice. There is parking in the back. Contrary to what folks have said, they do not farm out your dry cleaning. The folks he do your laundry are in the laundry. The service for what you get is good value. If you want folks to remember a detail like, "Hang these pants folded over twice on the hangar," this is not the place. I came to this laundry mat because I don't live close and needed to get my laundry done . I would give this a no star if I could . First off, their is no attendant on site . I paid 3.25 yo wash a load of laundry and it finished soak and wet - and dirty . I had to re-wash my clothes for another 3.25 . Then, the number they list 310-450-0179 ; is just a generic answering machine. Lastly, their is no bathroom here and I had to walk 3 blocks to a McDonald's . I will never come here again!!!
