Best korean corn dogs in Austin!!! Korean corn dogs are still pretty new in Austin and I've only tried one other place near downtown that sells them, but Oh K Dog beats them in price, value, variety, and taste. The price for each corn dog ranges from $2-5 which I'd say is pretty good. The size of the corn dogs is pretty large, combined with all the toppings, one is pretty filling and you'll definitely be full if you get 2. There are so many different corn dogs with different fillings and toppings. The taste is so crispy and everything I anticipated and expected. The service is also really nice and safe; the front staff asked before adding sugar and the girl in front of me misheard and I think doesn't consume sugar so they remade her order. Between the corn dogs I got, it's hard to choose but I like the sweet potato corn dog more. I love the combination of sweet and savory and the texture that the potatoes add. Stopped by the food court at H Mart to try this place. I ordered the egg and avocado toast, and cheese dog/potato corn dog. I really liked the eggs in the toast sando. The workers who worked there did not speak any English what so ever! This made it so complicated because as soon as I received my order I was trying to figure out which one had all cheese and which one had the half beef and half cheese. I asked the cook which one was which and I seen a long piece of hair in the food. I immediately asked for a refund! The cooked picked it out and tried to give it to me! [covid review] We were SO excited to try the new Korean corn dog place in the H-mart food court, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the ham&cheese egg toast, the classic hotdog, the half mozza half hotdog, and the potato mozza dog. They took maybe 5 to 10 minutes to come out, and it was another 15 minutes to get home and eat, but everything was still warm and tasty. The toast takeout container was well designed (plastic film over it) to keep the bag clean. Our corn dogs were a bit less well packed, with a paper tray (to catch the sugar sprinkling) placed vertically, so we needed 2 hands to hold the bag sideways. My favorite was the egg toast -- the butter-toasted bread was very thick yet soft, and it's perfect for absorbing all the sauces and juices from the fillings. The eggs were light and fluffy, and the whole thing had a nice sweet/salty flavor. You will need to wash your hands after eating this but it will be worth it. The corn dogs were also quite good! The batter texture/flavor is pleasantly different from American corn dogs -- very soft and chewy on the inside and suuuper crispy on the outside. I personally wouldn't recommend the potato dogs, since you get less crispy outside batter, the potato chunks on the outside aren't that good, and they also cost more. A few months ago I was telling everyone "If Austin had K-Dogs then my life would be complete" and lo and behold my wish was granted! I like it dusted with sugar and dip it in ketchup, mustard, and onion powder they provide on the side. The sauces are a must, or else it may be too greasy or too dry to eat in one sitting. One corndog and getting a soup from next door at Narrow Street is usually my go-to meal, getting two corndogs on its own is a meal in itself. This was the first time I ever had Korean Hot Dogs and yes. Just yes. If you're hesitating on whether or not to try it, get it, buy it, this is the sign to just do it. Squid Ink Half and Half: This one looked very very cool. They cut the bottom to resemble squid tentacles which I thought was pretty cute. 3. Sweet Potato: Now, this one was definitely a dark horse that I didn't saw coming. This was the employee's recommended favorite so I had to try it out and man, I think this was hands down my favorite one. The first bite of this was ~SO GOOD~! The crunch and the sweetness from the fried sweet potato complimented the cheese inside extremely well. Honestly, the price of the corn dogs were some of the best that I have seen around the area given the customizations and upgrades that came with it. The classic one is around $3 and the sweet potato is around $5. For me, I thought that I wouldn't be full with just eating one but one is definitely quite filling. In terms of the service, it was pretty average for the most part. I literally knew nothing about korean corn dogs prior to coming here and when they asked to put sugar around the classic one, my brain was literally like ???. I asked if it was common and the employee seemed kind of annoyed that I would even ask such a simple question. I guess I really should've done my research before ordering. For fast casual, this food is exactly what you expect and need! You can't go wrong with the crunchy corn dogs - I got the #7 which is half mozz and half hot dog, and I personally like the cheese better. They have a counter with trays to dip your dog into sugar or drizzle on a multitude of sauces (is this COVID safe? *shrug*). I enjoyed the hot and mayo sauces I layered on. The looks of the food are just as good as the preview photos! I love the squid leg look of the sausage in my corn dog. The egg toast was buttery and unexpectedly a bit sweeter than I'd imagined. Perhaps savory would be a better way to describe it.
