While purchasing Thai food at a food truck area at Ponds Springs Road and Anderson Mill, I saw a huge sign for $5 half-pound beef burgers. Worst case scenario, if I buy this burger, I can split it with my husband. The name of the burger food truck, "Bulldog Underbites," caught my attention due to its intriguing name. According to the owner, she loves bull dogs and had several bulldog decals affixed to the food truck. While my preference would be a cute small furry dog, unfortunately, I am allergic to dogs. I did not realize until she told me that bulldogs have an underbite, which gives them their classic look. You can literally learn something new every day! The wood tables and benches in the food truck park literally had 3 people - 2 other people and myself. Noise level was surprisingly low. The owner said she made the burger patties fresh every day. The burger was flavorful and seasoning evenly distributed. A half-pound of beef is pretty substantial...enough to share. The burger was thick, moist and enjoyable to eat. Will try another menu item next time. I must say how pleased I am to find these great finds at food trucks. read more

Wonderful service with great people! I have eaten here a couple of times before tonight and have had nothing but good experiences anyway. We started coming here originally bc of the $5 burgers. Tonight I brought my mom with me and we both ordered dinner. I got the daily special which was spicy chicken and it came with their delicious homemade jalapeño ranch sauce, fries and a biscuit ($8). My mom ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and onion rings. ($12) All super yummy, fresh and hot! The sweet lady accidentally charged me half the price for mine (it was already a great deal at $8 for all that food) and when I noticed she kept it at the rate anyway. She was so kind, she even threw in a bottle of their hot sauce for FREE! We were so pleased with our interaction, the food and generosity. My only regret is not tipping more than I did. We will absolutely be back- their prices are already so good compared to anywhere else but their kindness and the love they put into their food has us sold. read more

Super disappointed bc I used to LOVE these burgers. The truck has changed their meat and it's just not good. My burger tonight was so dry I couldn't eat it and it had no flavor at all. And the fries were not hot and fresh like they have been in the past. They tasted like they had been sitting a while. One fry was so hard I had to throw it away. When I called to inquire as to what happened, they confirmed they had changed the meat and said it was dry bc of something they use on it to keep it hot. Weird. All I got was an apology and offer for a discount on my next meal. Very sad to say unless something goes back to the way it was before, I won't be having a next meal from this truck. read more

Decent burgers and related fare served up by friendly folks at the westmost section of the popular food truck park at the corner of Pond Springs and Anderson Mill. I recently tried their Bully Burger and shared fries with my husband who tried their Texas Cheesesteak. The burger's bun was fresh as were the veggies and the burger itself was fine. It was not a standout burger but it was good. I liked the concept of the Texas Cheesesteak which is served on Texas toast. My husband opted not to have jalapenos and was happy with his decision as they had been heavy handed with the pepper such that it was spicy enough without them. The fries were krinkle cut with seasoning. They were fine but I prefer a thinner and krispier fry. With other better burger places nearby I don't foresee myself going there again myself but wouldn't discourage someone eating up with me at the food truck park from giving them a try and we'll definately be back to this food truck park. The side of the food truck park they are located in have a lot of well kept up picnic tables. There is no tree shade but there is one covered area for sunnier or rainy days. The park is pretty busy on Friday nights but not so much that a shaded table is hard to find. read more

Bulldog makes a seriously killer burger. I actually came to the food truck park to get something else to go, and my dad decided to order a classic burger while we waited. Best decision ever. I only had a couple bites, but I've been craving it ever since. The burger patty size is very generous (1/2 lb) and it had that perfectly juicy, charred, sloppy-good thing going. The toppings were simple, but it all meshed together really well. It kind of made me feel like I'd been transported back in time to a 50's diner known for serving the best burgers in town. I have been to this food truck twice now and both times what I ordered was over the top delicious! First time was the chili cheese dog. I couldn't believe how delicious this was and the onion rings were outstanding - not a bit of grease on them. Second time, the classic burger with cheddar cheese - outstanding! I stopped to grab some food from another food truck next door to Bulldog Underbites. Ordered from them and while I was waiting I could smell the delicious food cooking from Bulldog. After looking at the menu, I had to order from them too. I got their patty melt with bbq sauce and it was amazing! The bread and meat where just right and the sauce really brought it all together. I look forward to trying their other sandwiches. read more
