I did like the bar and the staff. Kristi (?) was professional, nice, attentive and welcoming. I had Salmon Benedict. Good portions of salmon; good protein count. Bar modern, hip.

Ordered the Darling Scallops over grits with asparagus - so good! Also ordered a Guava Limoncello Spitz - refreshing! Decor is so cute, service is excellent. Ask for George!

My fiance and I came to Oh my Darling for brunch, we have been in the last and enjoyed it but today it was disappointing. The ambiance is always very nice and there is always great service, I have no complaints there. However, I ordered the Croque Madame and the sourdough was very burnt on both sides to the point I could taste it even with the ham and cheese. My fiance ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and he said it was very bland, the chicken seemed unseasoned and the aioli was good but didn't add enough flavor to make the sandwich any better than mediocre. On a positive note the truffle fries were great, and my latte was amazing. Overall it was fine, but we will not be regulars.

Not exceptionally busy for prime weekend brunch time but still took a while to be seated. At one point, I had to track down an employee to ask if it was self seating. The floors are slick so we almost fell out of our seats when we pulled the chairs out. The tables were wobbly so do NOT put arms or objects on them. I initially ordered the banana bread french toast, but our server advised that it's not popular because it's literally just banana bread cut into french toast shapes...I opted for biscuits and gravy instead, which was a very large portion but used cut up sausage links instead of ground sausage. Overall, food is overpriced and underwhelming.

We stopped in for a pre-show brunch, and had the BEST time! As a group of 7, sometimes service can be slower or compromised - not at Oh My Darling! Our server was excellent, very personable, and she had great recommendations. The brunch menu had so many options, beyond your basic eggs and French toast! We adored the seasonal cocktails, they were the cherry on top of a five star experience. I would recommend reservations, especially on Landmark Theatre show days!

Food and drinks were great, but service here needs work. I came here as a party of 1 and it took more than 6 minutes for someone to come and serve me water. It was lunch time but not busy at all, so not sure why the long wait time. I got the Alive and Kickin for drinks, and chicken waffles as entree. Alive and kickin is their version of an espresso martini, I will say 8/10! Chicken and waffles were delicious, chicken was fried to perfection but just a tiny tiny bit on the dryer end. It also took a while to get anyone's attention to get the check, the receptionist actually ignored me when I tried to get her attention, l o l ... Overall, this is a cute spot for a meal but don't expect much.

A great brunch spot! The eggs Benedict was delicious. They have a lot of fun drink options, the inside is nicely decorated, and the service is wonderful.

First time here and it was a good experience. Great server with a wonderful personality. She was funny. Food was good! Shrimp and grits did not disappoint. Cornbread was good but could have been a touch more soft and moist. The ambiance was nice, open and light. Would definitely fine here again. Good spot for a group of people as well.

Oh My Darling is a beautiful restaurant located in the middle of downtown. We came here for brunch, food was good. I'm giving them only 4 stars because I did not enjoy my latte. Coffee was a bit watery . Our waiter was friendly and kind.

We stopped at Oh My Darling for lunch in our way up to Rochester. It seems like OMD is one of the better dining options in Syracuse, especially for Sunday brunch. The space itself is really nice - tall ceilings and good bones. It does have this kind of empty feeling and could definitely use more warmth in terms of decor. I started off with the strawberry smash mocktail which was delicious. The grits looked great in photos, so I decided to order along with blackened shrimp. Although I wish they were warmer, the grits were tasty and well seasoned. It came with three shrimp, but unfortunately one of my shrimp was still partly raw - cooked on one side but when I flipped it still totally blue gray on the other. I worked around it. I'd recommend this spot for a quick lunch on the way up to Rochester or Buffalo.

Me and my several friends have been there many times for brunch since 2020. We always loved the food, and the prices were friendly. The underground bar was pretty good too.

We made reservations for brunch because we were going to a show at The Landmark Theater afterwards. It was very busy and while many people with early reservations were going to the same show, people continued to arrive who were just coming for a lovely brunch. I have always loved the decor, light and airy with a clean modern feel. I love that you get a bottle of water on the table....no waiting for refills. I had the ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and fruit on top. It came with a small fresh, tasty salad that was dressed with a light vinaigrette. It also comes with choice of either ham, bacon or sausage on the side. My friend highly recommend the bacon, and while I'm not really a bacon person I went for it. I got three nice size strips that were tasty and perfectly cooked. I don't care for crispy, hard bacon and these still had some chew to them. The pancakes were very tasty and the lemon curd and fruit was a delicious topping, though they did serve a small portion of of syrup on the side which I enjoyed also. Service started out great, our server was attentive and friendly. As it got busier and we saw our server waiting on a large party, we didn't see him as much, which was absolutely fine. We had food and drinks, we knew we would make it to the show on time and he stopped by just enough to check in. (Sorry for no pictures of food.)

We're heading to the theater in Nov 12. How early should we show up to get a table?

I went to Oh My Darling before a show during the week. We arrived at 6:00 for a 7:30 show and had no problem getting a table. If the show is on the weekend, they may be busier.

Is your outdoor seating still available (mid-Oct)? Also, it is listed here as "heated outdoor seating" -- is that accurate?

    Do they serve alcohol?

Hi Michelle - we do! We have two incredible, fully stocked bars.

Firstly, the space is amazing! It's bright, open, and inviting with plenty of seating. Secondly, staff are very friendly and helpful! And thirdly, their food is amazing! I'm not vegan but their food is genuinely delicious. We ordered the loaded nachos, chicken parm sandwich, and the sweet sassy molassey sandwich, chocolate mint milkshake and a green tea. The half order of loaded nachos was generous in size and toppings! It was filling without being heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Probably one of my top loaded nachos ever. The chicken parm sandwich was also amazing! If I didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, I would not have known that the chicken was not meat. It had the texture of perfectly cooked chicken. The stretch bread was soft, the marinara was warm and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 sandwich. The sweet sassy molassey was also quite good! Very bright, filled with vegetables and deliciously seasoned tofu. Finally, the milkshake! I would have never guessed it was vegan. It was creamy, minty, and chocolatey - like drinking thin mints! I'm determined to squeeze in more visits here before they close!

Our visit to Rise & Shine Diner was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences we've had…read morein a long time. Even though the restaurant only had two large parties and wasn't particularly busy, we still waited 35 minutes to be seated. That alone didn't make sense, but things only went downhill from there. It was my daughter's birthday, and we were hoping for a fun brunch. Our server started off friendly, but that changed quickly. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time--a chai tea for me, a specialty alcoholic milkshake for my daughter, and no drink for her boyfriend, plus three entrées and a poutine. The drinks took 50 minutes to arrive. The food took over an hour and a half. During all this, the server seemed to avoid our table entirely. When my daughter's boyfriend finally managed to get her attention--very politely, even mentioning that he himself is a server--he simply asked if she had an estimate on our food. She stood there with her hand on her hip and told us the kitchen was backed up, with "three orders ahead of yours," as if that explained everything. We then asked if the poutine, our appetizer, was at least ready. She said they had to make fresh potatoes for it but that she would "rush it." Eventually, she came back with the poutine, plopped it down on the table, and walked away without a single word. No "here you go," no "do you need anything," and--most importantly--no plates. I ended up getting up and asking the hostess for plates so we could actually eat the appetizer. For a place that markets itself as a "fancy diner" with "Instagram-worthy" dishes, the service and execution were nowhere near acceptable. If you're going to lean into trendy presentation and premium pricing, you need the staff to support it. Hire more people. Train them. Do something--because this was unacceptable from start to finish. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. **EDIT** I would like to include the fact of the over priced, over salted, food items don't seem to cover the cost to upgrade your cracked booths so that people's bums are hurt from sitting on them. Needs to be updated and correct staffing issues so that food will be "adequate" for the price. Go anywhere on Westcott than here.
