This place had such good reviews so I had to check it out for myself. I got a spicy ahi and Hawaiian style poke bowl (combo) with mixed greens and rice and omg was it so good. Every bite was so fresh. Portions weren't as as big as some places but bits of ahi were bite size. The service was good. Oh yeah this is some good Poke. Located on the second floor of McCulleys shopping plaza it is a small shop sharing space with a Chinese place. Don't let the looks or location stop you from trying this poke. The fish is very fresh with big chunks of Ahi. I tired the Hawaiian style, spicy ahi and shoyu. All delicious and the rice was perfect. I love this place so much! People rave about foodland poke and granted foodland is good, but Ohana is a step above that. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small strip of restaurants. It shares a space with an Italian place. There is some seating, but not a lot. The poke takes a bit of time to come out, but nothing outrageous. The poke is really why I give this place 5 stars. The rice is seasoned and delicious, the toppings are nice, and the fish is super fresh and amazing. The ahi was fresh, good quality, cut correctly with no stringy parts. This place is pretty popular around lunchtime. Took 15 minutes to order due to long lines and slow ordering process. You order at counter, find your own table and then pickup your food when they call your order number. I didn't time it but it felt like it took 30min to get our food. This place is located in a small food court. Strangely, of the 4 businesses in there, this was the only place that was open on a busy Saturday. Maybe the others are not in business anymore due to covid? Aloha Poke Bowl was so busy that their customers practically filled all the seats in this food court. Located on the second floor of McCully Shopping Center, we love this place for satisfying our poke cravings. We picked up our bowls around 3pm, but didn't get around to eating them until after 8pm. We were a bit concerned about how the rice would hold up after such a long time in the fridge, but Ohana Poke House exceeded our expectations. The sushi rice was still wonderfully moist, and everything in the bowl tasted incredibly fresh. That's so crucial for poke bowls, and they nailed it! The awesome staff was so sweet and tried to make our bowls extra tasty by offering their free additions that allow you to customize your bowl and make it even more special. The flavors were amazing and so well-balanced--just thinking about it makes my mouth water! The stand itself is located in the test kitchen area of the shopping center and has a cute, inviting vibe. There are even seats available if you prefer to dine in. It's clear that Ohana Poke House takes pride in their food and their space. We can't wait to return and get more of their delicious poke bowls. This place has quickly become one of our favorite spots when we are in town. If you can't find any in the front, drive around to the side and enter the underground parking from Pumehana Street. Ohana Poke House is conveniently located, and easy to get to by foot and by public transportation. It's located in an area that has plenty of other dining options, and the suite it's in also houses a few dessert shops and a soup place! I was excited for the poke, and stopped by with a friend on a Friday evening -- several hours before closing. Unfortunately, we were told by the worker that there wasn't enough rice for two bowls, and so we had to opt for the half-sushi rice, half-greens option (mostly arugula btw). I found their menu a little hard to read (as most poke places offer pre-planned bowls, or do-it-yourself, and they offered a mix). I ended up opting for the Spicy Shoyu Ahi Tuna with all of the free toppings and no extra mix-ins/sauces. It fell a little flat for me, as there wasn't enough veggies/toppings, and the fish itself wasn't spicy (as the name suggested). The fish did taste very fresh though. All in all, I thought the taste was OK, nothing spectacular, but also not bad. Pricing felt very close to other poke places on the island. read more

Ohana Poke House is part of first cohort of restaurants inside The Test Kitchen at McCully Shopping. The concept is small restaurants get a start here before branching off to their own space. I'm happy having a simple and delicious poke shop in this mall as it's a convenient place to stop for food. We had a great experience for lunch this week, so much so the other half already went back for another meal! Their menu is simple, choose your fish, base (rice, salad, etc.), and toppings. There are lots to choose from and you can order as many as you want; some premium items have an additional cost but these are clearly marked on the menu. The staff was friendly, but not necessarily so at first. The bowls were made to order and presented beautifully with many colors. Fish and vegetables tasted fresh and were seasoned just right (not too much salt nor mayo). I had my favorite spicy ahi, she had salmon. Prices are a little higher than other places for a comparable size, but the quality makes it worthwhile. Due to this being in The Test Kitchen, you can mix and match with other food and drink places; everyone in your party can do their own thing and eat together. Note: we asked for cups of water and were told they didn't have any. The owner must have felt bad because she brought us bottles on the house to our table. Ohana Poke House formerly located in the Ohana Hale Marketplace has found a new home in The Test Kitchen on the second floor of the McCully SC. I think it's a cool concept of a shared mini food court setting that I'm crazy excited for though what I'm not excited was the poke bowl I got. Built the usual concept of base (rice, sushi rice or salad for +$1) then your choice of poke and additional topping from free to additional cost. Asian-owned and operated this place seem to be doing well which I'm excited though their system is lacking as they took one order after another 10+ before they realized they need to start taking names as each bowl is customized it's unique to each person. I've watch one after another who has order after me get their order so I decided to find out why mine was taking so long. None was mine as it was all different I understand language may be error though I'm not breaking them for that but she was arguing with me of why between the five order one might be mine. When you choose salad they don't have dressing (additional cost is understandable) but she did ask if I wanted extra sauce as more poke shoyu is not my idea of dressing. The additional choice of cucumber and limu is plain no sauce limu right from the bag I was still missing a topping and got green onions when I didn't want any...anywho this was probably someone else's bowl. They're certainly are not new in the biz so I didn't appreciate the argument to say that I was in the wrong and my advice is that the have an order form for us to fill so that there's no room for error. read more
