I've used them for most of my oil changes and it's always fast and the workers are very nice

I have never enjoyed an oil change experience more! Phil came to my car and was able to list why my car's service lights went off and fixed the majority of the issues with the oil change and new transmission. I'm still amazed from my interaction with Oil Changers today. Phil, the manager, cleaned out lots of oak leaves under the hood. Fluids were checked, tire pressure checked, and when oil condition and records were checked, he told me I didn't need an oil change... it was too soon, and I could go another 2,000 miles before that was needed. Since I haven't driven much since Pandemic, I thought oil change was overdue and was very surprised to learn it was not even necessary. I was even more surprised at the honesty and integrity demonstrated at Oil Changers and I will definitely make them my "go to" car care spot. They did not have the right size oil filter in stock on the day I went here for an oil change. The guy apologized for the inconvenience and topped off all my fluids without charge. He had them in the next day so I returned and got a quality oil change at a very reasonable price. There's also a car wash and vacuums on site- not sure if they're connected. This place is great. I usually get my oil changed here, and have recently had my transmission and coolant fluid changed. They make honest suggestions and don't pressure you to take action. I trust them completely. Fast and friendly! Hardly any wait and taken great care of by Kevin. He was polite and personable and made recommendations without being pushy. Usually taking my car places is intimidating for me because I know zilch about cars but this was a great experience. Stopped in on a Sunday. Should have asked the price -$80+ for an oil change service, so maybe you should ask first - I didn't. I asked for a synthetic - after the change I asked what brand did I get - some name I have forgotten. I did look it up when I got home - a brand for oil change places - I am sure quality is fair (maybe?), but lots of profit for them. I would have paid extra for the something good in the quarts if he had said something like other places do. The guy doing my change checked my tires, which were fine because I have the pressure on my Nav. But he proceeded to removed 3+ pounds of air from each tire. I guess he doesn't know that 33lbs cold, means cold, not hot off the road. Had to go somewhere on Monday to get them filled. Peeved. I wouldn't go back. read more

For an oil change place the customer service at this joint is off the charts. I told the technician (Phil) that I was in a hurry....I was in and out in 20 minutes without any pushy sales pitch about filters and lube. He was super nice too. I'll pay the extra money for fast and pleasant service. ****I wish there were a way to leave a tip on the credit card/atm receipt. I had to go get cash and come back. I get the best service from these guys every time I go in. They never try and up sale me if I don't express interest, they always treat me with professional, educational customer service. I have brought different vehicles in there over the years and twice neither of my trucks needed an oil change at that time, but they serviced all the fluids and checked my air filters and tire levels. If I could give Oil Changers 0 stars I would. I needed an oil change so I decided to go somewhere close because I wasn't able to drive to my usual and very trustworthy place in Novato. The incident happened on November 25th, 2019 with my 2003 Acura MDX.  The store manager, Phil, was getting ready to change my oil. I waited patiently. In the middle of the oil change, Phil comes up to the window and tells me that he was too rough with my oil plug and the pan seemed to have stripped. He said "You will need to have this fixed before your next oil change. You roughly have 2,000-3,000 max before this gets bad." I was shocked he was telling me to fix it later after admitting fault? He tells me it will cost around $300, but they don't do it here so I will need to go somewhere else. He kept saying cause my car is old that he should've been more gentle with it. A few moments later, he tells me that my drain plug would not fit anymore so he puts a different one in. He tells me since my car is old these things happen. He advises that I put some high mileage oil control in to help, I agreed to his suggestion thinking he knew best. After paying, I look at my receipt and notice that someone else's car information is on my receipt. I go back to Oil Changers and request for my receipt have my information correct on it. The guy seemed embarrassed and gives me a corrected receipt. I go home and mention the incident to my family & close friends, one who is a mechanic. They were shocked at what I had just told them and said that it didn't sound right. I don't know much about cars so my friend went back on my behalf to inquire what happened so we could know how to get my car back up and safe. He asked them what happened and "Why they would perform the oil change if they knew it couldn't be done successfully without damaging the car?" Phil replies rather aggressively, "You could have done it, if it seems so easy to you. The pan is old." Phil then starts to ask Counter questions like "well what do you know about cars? You don't even know what you're talking about." Phils angry tone felt threatening. Not wanting that type of communication, they left with no clear answers as to what happened. On January 28th my car started making weird sounds. I called my regular mechanic that has worked on my car regularly for years, Leonardi Automotive and spoke with Tony, the owner. He said they see this type of incorrect work done by Oil Changers all the time. He said they can possibly repair the oil pan threads and save me money. Next he told me to check if it is leaking oil and to not drive it. We look under my car and the whole underneath of the car was wet with oil. My regular mechanic immediately fits me in to his schedule. I receive a call that the damages were worst than they expected and asked me to repeat what exactly Phil said and did on my car. I learn that the damage that was done at oil changers caused oil to leak completely out and Phil had also put in an incorrect drain plug, which leaked oil right away but I had no idea. I was told by Leonardi's owner Tony that I was driving with no oil in my car because of what Phil did and could have destroyed my car. At this point I am in complete emotional distress!! I have no money to fix this, how am I going to get to work and school?!. I was panicking that I now have to pay for someone else's mistake. I had to pay for the repairs which totaled $723.64! All from a BAD OIL CHANGE. The same day I go back to oil changers and ask to see to see & have a receipt from my last service. He couldn't seem to find my car under my license plate number and asks for my first and last name, after a few minutes he hands me a copy. Upon looking at the new receipt, I noticed that it now said in the description that my oil pan was stripped upon arrival. I am still looking for the original receipt, but am 100% certain that Phil had changed the description of what really happened because that is not what happened at all. I believe he must had said that so he would not be responsible for the damage he did. I am completely livid at this situation. After calling their customer service rep, he said they would review my claim. I tried calling him again to discuss and left numerous voicemails and never heard back. Another man calls me saying they will "look into it". I told them to call my mechanic again and again, because Tony will speak to them about the findings and damages. They refused to call. They "decided it was due to the pan being old and you can't strip a pan from removing the drain plug". I would like to have this issue resolved, but no one seems to care and are covering up for their bad work. If a higher up associate of oil changers sees this, please reach out. read more

He took the time to look under the hood and around the car before I went on a long road trip because I was concerned. He didn't treat me like a dummy. They don't play up selling games- and they are great in explaining why you need something extra and how long you can go if you can't afford it that day. I've been going to oil changers for a few years now, they've always given me good service. But yesterday they turned me away because they hadn't received their shipment of engine oil filters two weeks ago. He even pointed to a person in line that had brought their own filter. Generally a good place, but I think it's ridiculous to lose business because they can't go out to a local auto parts store and buy their own filters in person. read more

Love these guys! I went in for an oil change on our old Saturn and they ended up also fixing my steering wheel free of charge. Every time I go there I am impressed with their service and honesty. Last oil change I went to they told me my oil was fine and to go 1500 miles more and then come in. Been taking my 2001 car to Sonoma Oil Changers for 18 years. She's going strong at nearly 157,000 miles. My last review was 5 star in 2/2014 and since then I've been in annually for maintenance and safety checks. Still consistently reliable and top-notch, friendly customer service. I will never go to Oil Changers again. I got my oil changed in February, and yesterday I noticed oil spots on my driveway. I thought maybe it was from not driving a lot during the shut down. No, that was not the reason. The tech that changed my oil did not tighten the filter, so oil was dripping into the oil pan. I brought my car to the Chevy place in Sonoma, and they fixed the filter, and steam clean the pan. Oil changers may be cheap, and fast, but it's not worth it when you have to pay to fix their mistakes read more

Sure, it's a little expensive for an oil change, but you pay for convenience (you can wait in your car while your oil is changed), it doesn't take long, and as an added bonus the customer service is good. Not only do they check all your fluids, they check the air in your tires for you and your head and tail lights. And after your oil change, you can come back to top off on fluids if you need it. read more

Just returned home after waiting for 38 minutes behind a car that was already in the oil change bay with hood raised when I arrived. Forty plus minutes for a $40.00 oil change was just not worth further waiting, so I left feeling irritated and frustrated with the lack of service. Stopped by this store after lunch and they were pretty busy. Despite a mild wait, the staff (Ryan, possibly the manager?) was very friendly and provided good service. I felt they knew what they were doing and they were really quick too. Overall, good experience. As for Leah G's post, I hate it when the employee's bother you every minute to show you oil levels, check in, or sell you another "service" you really don't need. These guys get you in and out and leave you alone. If you want to get pushy, commissioned salesmen instead of oil changers take Leah's advice and go to Oil Stop.
