The place is nice and serves both Chinese and Japanese. I went all traditional Chinese. If you can't make pork fried rice, wonton or Hot and Spicy soups well, don't serve Chinese. The ribs were super fatty. Maybe I'm used to NYC Shun Lee and spoiled, but I tried to find a happy place with the food - to no avail. The servers were sweet and it seemed they recognized the food was not up to par. Maybe the sushi is better. Sorry guys, the basics should always be good. read more

The food here at oishii was amazing! Especially the sushi that they do handmade. It was very appetizing and the way they set it up the rolls is so cute. The manager Elisie was super kind and welcoming. She was very friendly and, as a token of her friendliness, offered us complimentary shots of homemade guava which was spectacular. This restaurant charges us as crazy amount for this little bit of mid food, (56 dollars for 12 pieces of sushi!) my sister forgot to give the delivery driver his tip in person. The restaurant then called her, she was about to tell them that she will give him his tip, when the manger or owner told her that she didn't give him a tip and berates her, she was super unprofessional, when a tip is not even mandatory, you don't need to own a restaurant to know this! One of the best places to get sushi in Westchester!! I have sat at both the sushi bar and at the tables and I have had such a wonderful, personal, enjoyable experience every time. The sushi is fresh, the staff is lovely and incredibly friendly, and the service is exceptional. The mackerel blew me away! Definitely be sure to try the crispy tuna appetizer. This is very good! Not mind-blowing, but when I'm craving Chinese and don't feel like driving a half-hour to H Mart or Aberdeen, this is our spot. Nothing here is overly-salted or overly-dressed, which is a rarity for Chinese. The sesame chicken, while not as crispy as I'd like, is great and the pork fried rice is delicious! The star of the meal. The dumplings were pretty forgettable, while the veggie udon is soup is very comforting and not too salty, and I'd get it with shrimp next time. I absolutely love Oishii bistro. The food and service never disappoints. Last night we had some salmon and avocado rolls that were absolutely delicious and extremely fresh! I also like that the server Elsie was extremely accommodating, making sure that everything came out perfect which it did. The food there is also delicious I would recommend trying the mango shrimp and chicken, And the pad Thai is the best in town. We also had the eggplant and tofu which was one out of this world. First time to order... tried their Thai coconut shrimp curry and it was pretty delicious. Curry wasn't overwhelming like a typical indian curry entree. The Wonton soup that came with Bento box is not so good for me though. I wish I just ordered the regular miso soup because the wonton soup for me tastes exactly same as miso without the miso. Onto to the good part -Shrimps are huge... not the scrawny ones. I ordered lunch special and it is cheap for $13 and that includes tip. I will surely be back. This is the best sushi restaurant in the area. Fish is incredibly buttery and tasty. Served beautifully.

Take out order and first visit. The tuna roll (6pc) was very tasty and ginger was fresh and spicy. Duck dumplings were delicately wrapped in super thin wrapper rather than the thick doughy frozen crap most places buy. The stuffing was uniquely flavored and quite tasty. Finally, an order of General Tso's Chicken was crispy, packed in vented tray (smart move to allow moisture to escape and keep takeout from going mushy). All in all a satisfying first take. Interior was nicely decorated with some tables by the back window that would make for a nice dining spot. Need to try eat-in next. read more

Needed a good Asian place in the areas and Oishii is a gem. It was a little hard to find, it is in a strip mall type location; I believe there is a front entrance as well. Once you find it you will be impressed with the beautiful design of this place; the purple lights give a very relaxing vibe. I wasn't expecting much in regards to the food and I was absolutely impressed. The sushi was extremely fresh, the fish was tender and delicate while the veggies/ avocado were firm and creamy. I was blown away by how fresh and tender the calamari was (Comes with a delicious sweet chili sauce). The lo mein was better than any Chinese restaurant I've ever had. Servers were very attentive and friendly, always filling up your water glass, but not doing it in an intrusive way. Also, the prices are very affordable. If you're in the area check this place out, think this will be our new sushi/takeout option! read more
