The hot tea came in a little pot and was soothing and the cold iced tea was good. We did NOT get AYCE All You Can Eat, but we could see the folks next to us did. At the end they got to take a hot roll home to go. We ate the Super Oishii Roll and the Mexican Roll. The Super came with flavorful eel sauce, wasabi and fresh ginger. The other one had a nice hot button of mayo and chili sauce on top. Everything was delicious! The rewards card and friendly parting greetings by the chef and two servers was a nice touch. I used to frequent Oishii many moons ago for celebrations, sake bombs, and AYCE. I haven't had them in a while and ordered a bento box for the first time. It was huge for $15.95, which included chicken teriyaki, 4 piece tempura, 4 CA rolls, steamed rice, ponzu, and salad with that delicious ginger dressing. We stumbled on this little hidden gem while trying to get our workout on at Chuze next door but the gym is "coming soon" it's not open yet, so we decided to eat instead lol It's a cute little spot. They greeted us as soon as we arrived. Super friendly, we noticed they greeted every single person that goes in the establishment. We went in on a Friday a little after noontime and the waitress let us know they were having happy hour. We decided to do the ayce (all you can eat). We started with the appetizers soups, salads and edamame. For small plates they had big flavor, yum. Then we moved on to the baked rolls. Yum, yum yum!!! The first two that came to our table were the lobster roll and scallop roll. Please note the first round of rolls are whole rolls so 8 pieces. Round two you are able to order half rolls. We ordered about four baked rolls our first round then next round we ordered cold rolls and ordered half rolls to be able to taste different ones before getting too full. I love sushi and have been to a lot of ayce's I will say this place moved to my favs list. The food was amazing and the price was so affordable. Typical trendy vibes. We were seated pretty quickly. It was 3 of us for my cousin's birthday. I have to say that the sushi really just did not hit the spot for me. I don't know if it was the rice, but it just tasted really bland. Well this is definitely a first. For a restaurant to add automatic gratuity onto a pickup order. There's also a tip jar on the counter for the workers. I know some places have automatic gratuity when they serve a larger party but never ever have had a restaurant mandate tips for a pickup order. Beware of hidden charges! Oishii Sushi was a win from start to finish. I don't recall going to an all you can eat sushi place before, so I wasn't familiar with the 1, 2, 3 round paper ordering. Each item you select in the round one column comes first. Once you've finished all the items in round one, round two will begin, etc. Service was speedy and friendly. The sushi was delicious! I don't know if it's because the prices are reasonable, but my husband got a bento box and got slimy pieces of lettuce in his salad, funky tasting carrots. The tempura in the bento box had burnt oil, causing the tempura to be black in some parts.. the veggie roll that I got was supposed to be tempura also, but it was just rolled in Panko breadcrumbs out of everything that was the thing that I liked. I got another appetizer called Cinco de Mayo with spicy tuna, imitation crab, avocados, soy sauce, and spicy mayo. The avocado started turning brown right away very disappointed. I had high hopes for this restaurant. We did have another waiter, but he went MIA and when my husband tried to call him over to tell him that we wanted to go, he ignored us. Been wanting to try this place for the longest and finally stopped and ordered take out. I got two rolls and they were good. The positive of my whole experience was that the location seemed pretty busy and I was able to get my order in 10-15 minutes. GREAT! The negative was that they charge gratuity for take out! ALL BAD! Never heard of such a thing. Especially since I didn't see any signs posted (and I read everything). I was not happy about that. They have other signs posted such as not accepting $100 bills for order under $75 or limited the quantity of certain menu items to one per person so I'm pretty sure I would of saw a gratuity charge for take out if they had a sign. My only complaint is the All-you-can-eat policy where everyone at the table has to be participating. I understand why this policy is in place, from lame people sneaking sushi to non all-you-can-eaters. For us, we often come with kids and/or non sushi eaters. So the all-you-can-eat price isn't worth it. It would be nice if there was an exclusion for kids under 10. My 8 year old just eats the seaweed salad and edamame. As far as the food goes, it's excellent. This is definitely the best sushi in Moreno Valley. Our favorite rolls are the Jessica roll and Ichiban roll. There are several others that are on our go-to list. The sashimi is fantastic! But too expensive unless we get the all-you-can-eat. The look and feel of this place is relaxing. I relocated to TN 2-1/2 years ago and whenever I'm in California, I never pass up a chance to enjoy the Timon roll at Oishii Sushi. Dining in is always the best. To go is good but they don't always make sure to put all the needed/requested sauces in the bag. But the food is always fresh and delicious.
