***2nd update!!! This is the third year of recreating our first date dinner at this wonderful establishment Grateful for the incredible sushi and even more so for the warmth and joy that Stacy brings every time we walk through the door. This year, we were lucky enough to share the love with our in-laws, and Stacy made them feel just as special with her kindness and generosity. From shots to dessert, her hospitality truly makes every moment unforgettable. Here's to tradition, amazing food, and the people who make it all even sweeter!

We use to come here a lot when I lived nearby. It had been a few years since I had been here so decided to stop by for AYCE lunch. The staff were as friendly as I remember. The ambiance is a casual vibe. The stuff I got was pretty good. Im not a sashimi person so I can't speak to the super freshness of it all, but they have good spicy tuna, if that helps. Something new to me is a 15% service fee they added to the bill. I dont remember seing that advertised on the menu so it seemed shady to me. It could be in small print somewhere, but I didnt see it. I hope that service fee goes to the servers since we only left a couple extra bucks to get to 20% tip. If not, then that really sucks for them because I feel it will affect their tips.

If you're looking for variety in Riverside, this is the place. We tried everything from the basic salmon and tuna to some of the more elaborate baked rolls. Everything tasted fresh and the service was attentive they kept the water filled and the next rounds of orders coming out at a good pace. The appetizers (especially the gyoza and tempura) were hot and crispy. Great value for the price!

The place located in quite 'dim' establishment. At the front, it has mentioned all you can eat. For dinner (weekday) we get charged $35, 15% gratuity will be included. Unlike other AYCE, this place is different as they serve full portion each order, while other place will only serve you half portion to give you more chance to experience other menu. The baked sushi has too much mayo till you cannot taste a proper sushi. Aside from the portion, they are generous when we order lobster sushi and scallops, it's all over the sushi abundantly. Server was attentive, we were offered pickled ginger when it was about to finish. Assuming this is a family business everyone work in harmony to make customers leave happy. The place inside is quite cozy and very zen. We'll come back next time for ala carte for sure.

    Food

I had to come back--and honestly, it was just as good if not better the second time. I kept thinking about the food after my first visit, and it definitely lived up to the memory. The sushi is incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and I can tell the chefs really care about what they're putting out. Every bite felt intentional and high quality. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the people. The staff is so warm and welcoming, and there's a genuine atmosphere here that's hard to find. I felt taken care of without it ever feeling forced. I'm really glad I came back, and I already know this is going to be one of my regular spots.

Professional sushi spot with truly authentic flavors. The food was excellent, and the place is very baby- and family-friendly. We'll definitely be coming back!

This spot has fallen off hard. I used to pick up orders here and it was fine, nothing special, but at least edible. Today? I came during jury duty lunch thinking I'd treat myself. I should've just eaten the courthouse vending machine snacks instead. I did AYCE and honestly... for what?? The sushi rice was rock hard like they cooked it yesterday and prayed no one would notice. Zero flavor. Tasted like the clearance sushi you get at a sad grocery store at 9PM. And the baked green mussels?? They didn't even TRY. It was literally just torched, reheated, naked mussels. No sauce. No toppings. No effort. And THEN... the audacity... the 15% service fee. For WHAT service? For traumatizing my taste buds?? For making me waste my lunch break AND calories?? Be serious. Yeah, no. Never coming back. Not recommending it.

    Ikura so fresh

Food are sooooo delicious with new owner! I love this place. This is the best sushi place in California!!

Ask the Community - Oishii Sushi

    Is there happy hour?

Yes. For the AYCE sushi, Happy Hour is from opening - 3pm. Not too sure if there's a happy hour for drinks.

Hi im wondering if they sell steaks or shrimp and steak plates because my son in law doent like fish or sushi?

They have bento boxes with shrimp tempura, but no chicken tendies, beef or other "kid" plates.

Do they take reservations for a bigger party?

We have been there with as many as 24 people'. Space or ability to provide service hasn't been a problem. :)

Does this place serve any Cajun Sushi? Cajun Salmon Cajun Tuna etc.

Yes I see "cajun" on the special menu up front all the time

Is the ayce all day, and what are the prices for lunch/dinner?

Yes, ayce is all day. Weekends it's all same price $24.95. Weekdays lunch special is $19.95.

    Can I place to-go orders?

    Yes you can.

Does this place accept $100 bills?

    Yes they do.

Crawfish is not lobster? Change your baked lobster roll to crewfish roll then I know not to order it :) thanks

It's a name. Is the "tiger roll supposed to have real tiger in It? How about that spider roll every sushi restaurant has? You want fried tarantula in there? Haha learn to read a menu, a real lobster roll wouldn't be available on ayce

Music was playing at a good level. Menu features lots of options. Some of us were craving sushi and the other half had bowls (beef bulgogi, spicy pork bowl, orange chicken). Our meals were served around the same time and waiters regularly checked on our refills and if we needed anything. At one point, music turned loud and lights flashed, to celebrate someone's bday so something to be aware of that they do. Overall, our dining experience was satisfying. I was a big fan of the salmon carpaccio and the super sexy bowl. The fish tasted fresh and portions are large so you get your moneys worth. My companion did mention that their bulgogi had more onion than meat which was visibly notable. Definitely aim to visit again and will recommend this spot to others.

We went on a Saturday at 6pm without joining the waitlist as yelp said we didn't need to. Our experience vs recent yelp reviews was overall pretty damn positive. The only thing that is true that every other review mentions is yes they add auto gratuity so when you get your check the option is there to still add a tip which if you don't pay attention can lead to you giving a 25%+ tip without realizing it. The service we had was fast, I still don't know who our server was because about 6 different people kept asking us if we needed anything. Our tablet worked fine and we were able to order everything from it without having it malfunctioning or not working as some others have stated. One odd thing to mention is the soda cup is about 2x as big as the water cup. The sushi itself tasted good, however my girlfriend and I try to get our moneys worth so we normally only pick nigiri and the standard apps, and avoid any kind of rolls. Our take is on the carpaccio, seared salmon, tuna, and escolar, and fresh water eel. All the nigiri we had weren't "fishy" or tasted not fresh or whatever some of the other reviews mentioned but again we didn't have any of the items other people have complained about. So if you're looking for an AYCE sushi place and are tryna get your moneys worth I'd say it's a good place to go.
