4 stars. A cozy, casual restaurant at the mouth of Historic Tombstone. The sign outside reads "Established 1881" and "Home of the Buffalo Burger", so I had to give that a try. The burger was satisfying --nothing fancy or pretentious, just a good, standard burger served with fries. Oh, did I say it was a buffalo burger? We had a tasty halibut sandwich with a side of cole slaw, and a delicious corn chowder. The grilled cheese sandwich was a favorite among the kids. The setting is all right... we walked in a bit after 1 p.m. and the place was pretty packed. The room is surrounded by textured faux brick wallpaper, with a mirrored wall along with a buffalo head, trophy-style. Gives it a bit of a wild west feel, I guess. It's relaxed and casual, good for kids, although there isn't much space when crowded. Service was friendly, but don't be in a hurry --fast food this ain't. In all fairness though, it was a full house. On one of our orders, we requested to "hold the mayo", but it came with mayo anyway. No biggie, we asked for another set of slices of bread and it was quickly brought back, but it does speak about attending to diners' requests. Verdict: if you are visiting Tombstone and not in a hurry to catch the shows or other commitments, this is a good, low-key, choice for lunch. read more

An amazing small town place in one of the coolest towns we've been to! Not only was the staff warm, friendly, and inviting, but the food was absolutely delicious. We got the biscuits and gravy and the buffalo burger - AMAZING. We felt so welcome and at home, we really didn't want to leave! DELICIOUS! Just like Momma would make. We had the Hungarian Guloush Soup, Corned Beef Hash, half order of Biscuits and Gravy and the Cowboy Skillet. All were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Our party of 10 had lunch here after the performance at the gunfight palace. We ordered a variety of dishes from breakfast omelet to buffalo burger. Everyone's dish was on point! This place is a really good place for breakfast. The waitstaff are very friendly, and work as a team, covering all tables. The food selection is plentiful, and the pricing is unbelievably affordable. Make sure you order the pancakes! You want basted eggs? They know how to prepare them three ways, and not ruin them. Plenty of bacon, and unlimited coffee. A first lucky find, I think not. The food here is delicious and plentiful. The biscuits are a must have. The bacon is a one of the most delicious bacons I have ever had. The service is great. The only thing I can say that is negative is get Earl Grey tea. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. We had two breakfast there just because we enjoyed it so much. read more

Absolutley amazing breakfast. The food was great and the service was even better. We decided to check this place out as it was one if the only places open for breakfast. Glad we did. I'd give it 5 stars but the only downfall is the size of the place. If you get uncomfortable around large groups like I do, I'd wait until the crowd dwindles down. Stopped after having fun in Tombstone. Highly recommend, very family friendly and amazing staff. Excellent fries that they brought out to tide us over till we got our food which was heaven sent since we had 6 starving kids. Hot Cocoa was a delicious treat on this cold windy day. Breakfast served all day with perfect over medium eggs in my case. Husband had the buffalo burger, medium and it was best buffalo he's had. Friend had The Wyatt and struggled to finish the yummy burger. The BBQ sauce on it was delish. Waitresses were very attentive with go fish cards, coloring books and the fries to tide us over. The name says it all! It's OK. The ventilation needs some work. It's muggy and crammed inside. Out of convenience and it being our first time here we stopped. The chicken nuggets were Tyson chicken nuggets. The burgers were not anything fancy or outstanding. The 3 burgers and chicken nuggets took about 40 minutes to arrive to the table. Went there early Sunday morning and as I sat there it gradually filled up with locals, a very good sign!! The special was chicken fried steak and it was delicious, service was quick and friendly. This is the most amazing restaurant! We had breakfast here two mornings in a row, the service was awesome and the food was delicious! This is a small town feel, a lot of locals and just great energy. Sara was our waitress both mornings. She remembered us the second day as soon as we walked in the door. We honestly felt like family! Such a wonderful woman and some of the best service and food I've ever had in a restaurant. If you're going to visit Tombstone you won't wanna miss this experience. Overpriced considering what you get (skimpy servings), and impolite/rude service from one of the servers. The owner sat in the dining room eating a delicious-looking dish that we were interested in having as well, but our first server quite rudely told us we couldn't have the same dish because it wasn't on the menu. She added that the owner could have that dish because she was the owner and it was her food . Bad business -- the owner should have had her meal out of the sight of customers if customers couldn't enjoy the same dish. It should be noted that the impolite server disappeared in the middle of our meal and a very pleasant server took over. Even so, the first (rude) server and skimpy portions turned us off of this place. We won't be returning. read more
