Just came from the Van Nuys DMV and asked a few workers to recommend me a good Chinese fast food and got directed here...this place is NOT Chinese nor americanized chinese...this is Mexican chinese. Yes the portion is giant. For roughly $8 and some change I got a 2 item combo with a can of Diet Coke.i can't believe the people who call this food here "fresh" clearly it is not fresh...possibly 1-2 days old and over cooked as well. I got the orange chicken and Kung pao. Both of these items taste the same meaning the cooks use the same for the base flavors. A lot of the orange chicken was just fried pieces of nothing. Probably a roach or something with the B rating. I'm sitting here highly disappointed and watching customers wip out those EBT cards to get some cash. It hits me, this place is most likely popular cause they hook up the portion for the dollar. And believe me I know cause I have been there one point in life, being on welfare you want the most for your dollar. Understood. After picking through my food I am done. The food is deliciously affordable and the portions are unbelievable you can get a combo B and it will last you about 2-3 meals and only cost you 5 bucks. I don't recommend going to this place if you're looking for authentic Chinese food. The food is not bad but it isn't good either. The quality if the food is in it's name... I don't like where it's located either. This place is located on one of the most busiest streets in the valley. The parking lot isn't a butt to park in, which is good. The "restaurant" however is small. And you can see the back of the house which did not look sanitary. Their menu is confusing and the restaurant is not clean. If you're looking for speedy "Asian" food, go for it. They do fill up your boxes to the point where it won't close anymore and the only way to close it is by force, but other than that, I don't recommend it. One day my friend and I were looking for some "Cheapy Chinese food" and stumbled across this place. I tell you we were more than satisfied with our visit . They filled our plates up till the top could barely close. One plate was definitely enough for the both of us to share and still have leftovers for later. Every time I've came in the food is hot and ready. Their orange chicken is juicy and delicious and I'm a huge fan of their broccoli beef. So I took a chance today and gave this place a try. Holy cow!! The portions are gigantic. They are definitely not shy when serving their portions and the service was overall Okay. The issue that I had is that the seating area were not very clean as previous customers did not clean after themselves and the staff was just to busy attending to the customers. STAY AWAY!! Honestly I don't know how this place is still open. So much unsanitary food handling and cross contamination. When you see the long lines and the big servings it may seem appetizing to go but don't take the bait. First off the place has a nasty musky smell, the servers have no gloves or even wash their hands whenever they touch money or utensils. I ordered orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and spicy chicken. The orange chicken had no chicken, it was just a stale crunchy mess. The beef an broccoli, first off they don't cook it together. The lady literally grabbed plain broccoli and placed it on top of the beef tray mixing it on the main plate of meat. And the spicy chicken didn't taste like spicy chicken. The chow mein had an old burnt oil taste and the rice was the same. Total for 3 plates was $18 and fed 8 people. It was cheap but very very disgusting. I am praying that I don't get food poisoning.
