We also had the steelhead which was surrounded by a cream sauce filled with leeks and mushrooms. the seafood was atop two wedges of polenta, a very nice add that allowed you to soak up the sauce. We did not have reservations as it was late on a Thursday night. But, we had to wait close to 30 minutes to be seated. The hostess was nice and seated us with our dog on the patio. the place was still full at 7:30 at night. they have a musical group playing in the background which was also additive to the ambiance. The one negative was our service. Not very personable, we sat for another 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. No water, no explanation for the delay and no apologies for the long wait. Service improved after the place started to die down, but not a great start to the meal especially after waiting so long at the front.

The manager had to bus the table and wait on us (much appreciated but not according to plan I think).

The husband enjoyed his polenta lasagna as well. He's extremely picky so I was surprised to hear it hahaha. The server was super friendly and fun and the chef also checked in on us and was equally as cool. A lot of Yelp reviews seem to just be people with unrealistic expectations so I take it with a grain of salt. I don't typically leave reviews on account of that but I like to give credit where credit is due. I definitely plan to come back next time we are in town! The owner, Gab, is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can tell he genuinely cares. Ended up striking up a conversation with one of the employees, Blade, who was fantastic. We mentioned how much we admired the potted floral arrangements lining the patio, every detail felt so intentional and looked absolutely beautiful. Blade gave credit to one of the owners, Elvie Cartwright. Well Elvie, if you see this: you have an incredible green thumb and an artist's eye for beauty. Kudos.
