This was our second time of staying in a very old home. The first time was in Santa Barbara. We love the charm, the ambience, the quiet and lush setting, and the relaxing atmosphere. Anna welcomed us with late afternoon treats, and some wine. It was so pleasant and quiet there, that we felt we had left the rest of the world behind. We met two other couples with whom we shared some wonderful conversation, during breakfast. The quiche that we had for breakfast was delicious! I believe that Anna's husband was the cook, and he did a wonderful job. The coffee kept coming! I wish that I could still be there, enjoying that back porch, patio, and the beautiful scenery. I was looking forward to hearing the stream behind, and hoping to hear some frogs. It wasn't to be this time. We knew that there wasn't any television ahead of time, so we brought our laptop, and used their Wi-Fi to stream an old movie. We cozied up together on the bed, in the beautiful warm robes they provided. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We would repeat our experience again at the Olallieberrie Inn tomorrow afternoon if we got the opportunity. Lovely place, good breakfast, nice afternoon wine and snacks. A lovely setting to enjoy it all in.

We stayed in this super cute and friendly BnB and are beyond pleased with our experience. The owner and her family are so inviting, kind and truly bend over backwards to please their guests. The rooms are so cozy and comfortable and the grounds breathtakingly beautiful and inviting with several seating areas among the flowers and greenery. The food is good, not over the top but OK. The happy hour is fun to get to know other guests while drinking local wines and simple hoursdurves. The breakfast is plenty and good in the beautiful sun room. Some guests that have stayed here in the past say it is not what it used to be but one has to realize these are new owners that do it their way and it is great! We will for sure come back here in the future and recomend it to our friends. We celebrated my 70's birthday and I am so happy we stayed here!

The gardens the staff the people what more could you ask. We checked in with a fresh cookie served with either lemonade or tea and a fresh baked cookie. The rooms were quiet and good mattress. Each room is different and it's an easy walk to the village. Beware no HVAC. Meals are fresh.

This is a quaint cute and clean bed and breakfast!!! They have a complimentary wine hour in the late afternoon as well. Anna is a wonderful host. This was a very relaxing (without TV )and enjoyable stay, perfect weekend. 5/5 remember this is a house some of the rooms are smaller. We will definitely return.

This review is long overdue! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days recently on a whim and it was the best decision ever! Anna and her crew were so inviting and warm, and the entire experience was top-notch! We loved staying in this little piece of history- the rooms and vibe of the place were adorable. If you are into vintage accommodations and atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you are into contemporary hotels and privacy, this will not be for you. The place was very clean, but it's an older home so the floors creak and all that jazz- part of its charm! Also, the eating is all in close quarters with the other patrons. We loved it because we got to chat with people from all over the place. If you are private and don't like a communal-style stay- again, this is not for you. B&B's are such a gem and I'm so grateful we got to experience this slice of heaven! Thank you Anna for taking the time to tell us about the place and for all your community recommendations!

Olallieberry Inn is a cute, clean, and comfortable bed and breakfast in Cambria and my partner and I enjoyed it a lot. There was some mix up with our reservation dates when we first arrived and the owner Alanna was extremely accommodating in fixing the mishap, she even let us enjoy the wine and hors d'oeuvres hour we had completely shown up late for! The property was quiet and intimate, but the employees were still friendly and sociable. Crystal who we saw every morning was always ready with a cup of coffee, a smile, and good town exploring advice. After our trip I recommended Olallieberry Inn to a coworker and she booked a weekend trip next month. As for me and my boyfriend we will definitely be back!

What a kitchen. And its a great breakfast you will have

I will start by saying that I do not rate BNB's the same as a hotel. They aren't able to offer the same amenities, and aren't supposed to. To me, a bed and breakfast is meant to feel as if I am staying at my favorite grandma's house. Memories of the best sleeps, the comfortable (and antiquated) touches of home, and love. Yes, something that is not tangible, yet you feel it when you stay in a place. With The Olallieberry Inn (gee now I will learn how to spell it correctly) is easily is the most charming B&B in Cambria when you first arrive. A tree sits outside the front entrance which dates back to 1884 and has Spanish moss growing down the branches. It takes you back, but so does the classic white wood house that is behind it. It is out of a movie. The sign is quaint and perfect for what awaits you inside. I will have to return to stay in other rooms as I think they will each have their special character. I stayed in San Simeon room and found it VERY clean, simple and with lot's of extra touches ( soft towels, memory foam pillows, nice local shampoo and lotions, Two thick robes in the wardrobe etc - areas a place will often skimp on) The decor is warm and antiquated and, as I mentioned, as I placed my clothes in the antique wardrobe, I felt like I was at grandma's house. This is a special and quaint little spot, priced fairly and with lots of love. See below for nice touches and a couple watch outs. A really nice stay. Highly recommend. Nice touches - - Love the antique door knobs -Great chat with the INN Owner Alanna Mah my first AM - charming and lovely staff - Dirk might make the best scrambled eggs ever and is a kind and helpful human - Bed is comfortable and warm - Carpets are clean ( that's a big one for me) - The guests all seem up for a chat and connection, as you get with a bed and breakfast - Sea air does come in at night, crisp and lovely. Crack a window for sure Watch outs - - Sound does carry on the ground floor rooms, I could hear the music from happy hour in my room when trying to rest, perhaps upstairs or addendum Cottage if that will bother you - You can hear guests come in at night or the floors creaking - again grandmas house These add to the experience, but just be aware when planning to maximize your experience. Great time in Cambria !

LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

I was really…read moreplanning on giving this place a 5 star review but after the awful experience here on our last day, I decided to take 2 stars off. Let me start with the positives. Before our arrival we were given a code to enter the living space and our room, so it was very convenient to have such an easy check-in with no hassle. Plus was a warm welcome from Nana, the Inn's pet cat. She was really cute and friendly. The room itself was cozy and patios enough for the two of us. The room was spotless clean and loved how spacious the bathroom was, and how comfortable the bed was as well. As far as the complimentary breakfast we received. It was okay. It was a quiche, yogurt with fruit, a muffin, sausages, and orange juice, on both days. It was left by our door around 9 am the two days we were there. Now, for the negatives. Parking spaces are limited and each room doesn't have a guaranteed parking spot. They have misleading information on their website. If you come back after 8 pm, forget about finding parking there. You will need to park in Cambria Inn, their sister property, and walk up a very dark and dangerous road back up to the Inn, which is unsafe! When I let their Inn know about this parking situation, the night before, I couldn't reach anyone after 8 pm, so I was told to call Cambria Inn. The person who picked up was extremely rude, and told me to park anywhere there was parking, after I explained there were no spots available. Finally we ended up parking at the Cambria Inn. The next day, I let the J. Patrick house know about this parking situation and someone over text got super defensive and was trying to send me screenshots of there being parking, when clearly there was none when we arrived, and kept arguing with me about it, which left a really bad taste in my mouth, and in stress I ended up leaving my super expensive jacket, which I still haven't heard about from the Inn. It's unfortunate that this situation happened because I was really hoping that we would have a better ending to a special weekend! I will not be coming back here again!

Really enjoyed the complimentary wine with ocean view and one of my biggest reasons for booking it was due to they accept dogs, which says a lot about an establishment. That being said, there are areas for improvement. When I checked into my room, I noticed that the the dark blinds were stuck so I went to the office to see if they could help. The manager came to my room; tried to lower them and agreed they were stuck. She said she would ask the maintenance person to fix it. A day went by and nobody came by. I was awoken to a bright room early in the morning so my sleep was cut short. I went back the office and the same manager welcomed me with "yeah, what's up"? I highlighted that nobody came by to fix it and she seemed pretty indifferent but said she would request it again. Needless to say, nobody showed up to fix it during my whole stay so I was greeted with shortened sleep thanks to the bright room in the mornings. While I was checking out, I highlighted this to the new manager and she laughed it off, saying that's why she brings blindfolds when she travels. No discount offer or anything. Furthermore, their door key cards are the most sensitive I have ever encountered. I had to have them reprogrammed 3 times during my stay. Also, the owner apparently requested that they close the wine tasting early due to rain so, when I showed up to use my complimentary wine vouchers, I found it closed over an hour earlier than their posted closing time but the server did provide me with the complimentary wine since I was a guest but they were no longer offering food so no marinated olives and nuts to go with it. That being said, the Inn does have a great location; is a value and I love that it is dog-friendly but they do need to work on their customer service. Oh and some more Vegan options and recycling/compost bins would certainly help.

The rooms, lack decor and character, although the bed was very comfortable. When we asked that the waste baskets be emptied at the beginning of the day, we were told that since we did not make that request the night before, it could not be accommodated because of insufficient custodial staff. When I made this request to the manager on duty, she gave me a look as though I had asked her to donate a kidney. We emptied the baskets ourselves. The property has two fire pits, both of which were essentially nonfunctional. Also, the pool was closed. When they ran our credit card on check-in, they actually immediately charged the entire fee for the stay at once. This is an unusual practice, since most similar properties assess the actual charges for the room at checkout. We enjoyed our stay and all the front desk employees were extremely polite, helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean. The fireplace is easy to use and extremely effective. However, I would like to make a few suggestions on how to improve the experience of staying at Moonstone Landing for all your guests: First, please provide your guests with 3-ply, SOFT toilet paper. The cheap, one-ply toilet paper this hotel uses was horrible to use. If you're asking guests to pay premium prices for these rooms then at least provide them with decent toilet paper. Second, please consider investing in NEW, comfortable outdoor patio chairs with accompanying foot rests. The chairs you have now feel cheap and uncomfortable. Third, I would jazz up the "average" continental breakfast. It's the one thing hungry guests look forward to every morning and the pastries provided leave one underwhelmed and still hungry. Linn's cheese danish pastries are delicious but the other two muffins were "meh". The boiled eggs are fine. I think adding a variety of cereals would be appreciated. Maybe provide granola bars? Fourth, I know renovations are costly. But at some point you'll have to redo the stone flooring in all the bathrooms as the long cracks in the stone initially make a bad impression. Again, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel. As a long-time patron, I'm offering my insights in the hopes you'll make the necessary changes to stay competitive and continue to draw in new guests.
