This review is solely based on the taste of the pizza. It's not very good. I attribute it to the sauce/cheese as the dough and crust is fine. The price is too high for the quality of the pizza. I would put this in the range as about the same quality as Pizza Hut, but more expensive. Not sure I would try the pizza again. Any other time I visited this spot, my rating would have been a 5. Nico was a great server when we visited a few weeks ago. He is an awesome employee who is thoroughly dedicated to his customers. The food is delicious, too! On this occasion, it was a different experience entirely. The restaurant was freezing cold (uncomfortably so). We probably wouldn't have minded, given the food is good, but our server, whose name purportedly was Christian, never even greeted us. Not a 'hello,' 'I'll be right with you, ' or a 'what can I get you to drink?' The welcome was as frigid as the air in the dining room. I am sure he saw us, even made eye contact, but was entirely unconcerned about us as customers. We waited for about 10 minutes, before the chill in the air and the absentee server made it easy to leave the restaurant. We walked out and decided to eat elsewhere. All in all, if you're going to eat here (which I recommend), dress in layers (a parka isn't unreasonable, nor are those nifty gloves that convert from mittens to fingerless gloves), and if you are seated in Christian's zone, ask for a different server. If you don't, don't be surprised if you, or your food, is frozen by the time you leave. read more

He says, "well you know we close at 10 pm"... to which we reply, "no, we didn't know, because Yelp says 11 pm". Called and order Pizza and wings drove to pick it up and brought that baby home. I was surprised on how quickly the pizza would take to be ready for pick up. Order a Signature Pizza Chicago 7. Soggy crust and all I tasted was tee tomato on top.. The wings we ordered Classic Bone in Long Hot. Nope was not hot, they were dry barely any sauce on it and they actually tasted like BBQ yuk. I love the fact they're open late! The Chicago thick is actually a thicker crust that's just meh. You need to get the deep dish, the crust had good flavor and it was big. The beer samples are great, my wife enjoyed that part. The fact you can sample before you buy full amounts! The chicken tenders for the kid was actually pretty good. We were really excited to try this place as I've spent time in Chicago and love the real deal Chicago Pizza. Unfortunately, our bottoms up, Chicago style classic had hardly any cheese at all, almost all sauce! Definitely not what I expected as the pizza I've had in Chicago had a nice thick layer of cheese and then some sauce on top. Were excited to try out this new restaurant. When we got there on a Saturday looked busy with a 45 minute wait. We waited and they took us within that time. Since we had waited so long we ordered as soon as the waitress came. We order a personal size pizza and a dozen hot wings. We waited about 20 mins before we asked about our food. We expected have the wings at least for an appetizer. As others have said, waiter disappears often, except when it's bill time. The food was poor. We were there for happy hour. My mule was watered down. Pub pizza didn't look like they make it fresh, rather just a frozen Costco pizza thrown in the oven. The nachos were a piss poor display of chips and large lumps of sour cream. Cheese and beans were sparse at best. Wanna do a comparison I'd recommend checking out what real nachos look like at Blu32. Lastly we ordered the pizza cookie and you would think they could use a fresh cookie an warm it up, rather it was hard and crumbled. Best part was the ice cream, that's hard to mess up! Horrible service the other night. We came in and the sign said seat your self in the bar area. So we sat down in a booth. There we waited, watched the bartender leave the bar with no other staff at least observing the bar. Then proceeded back to the bar to just sit next to a patron to flirt. Sigh. Old Chicago has been a weekly spot for us during the last 12-18 months. The food is not consistently good but it's mostly good. One of the reasons I can't give it a 4 star rating is that the last 3 or 4 visits, we have found smudge marks (lipstick etc) on their glasses. It's very off putting and I can understand if it happened once (at most twice) but it's happened too many times at this point. It's an indication of poor communication between staff and management and I'm shocked that it has continued to be a problem for this long. I hope that they can fix this issue moving forward and hope to come back once things are cleaner. read more

We came in tonight for the first time. The hostess was very friendly. We're told the wait was 20 mins came back in a waited a bit longer. When we were seated the place was pretty empty and all the serves were sitting at the bar talking. When are serve came she took our drink orders and then we finally saw her again 15 mins later she took our order and we didn't see her again for another 20 mins but could see her stand by the bar with her other coworkers. They came out cold and once we alerted the server they took them away and remade them and took them off our bill right away. They were delicious and worth the wait. I don't mind paying a good price when it's a good meal, but I feel like I just got totally ripped off. I would first like to start off by saying that I was very impressed with the way that Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom was handling COVID-19. They made sure that we were distant from others and all the employees were wearing masks. The only thing that I would've liked was that the girl at the front told costumers to put on their masks instead of just holding it. Other than that, marvelous job! Next I would like to mention the fact that their menus could be accessed through qr codes on the table. This made it easy for me and my family to look at the menu without having to touch anything. It just kind of sucked that we had to use a different code to look at the beer selection. But I will say, Old Chicago pizza & taproom had an AMAZING selection of beer. We ordered a cream beer and a red ale, both of them were tasty and worth the price. Now one thing that was not worth the price is, the pizza. We ordered a large and it's cost $30. Now I know that companies have to make money somehow but charging $30 for a pizza is a little bit crazy. The pizza was good though along with the appetizer (which I didn't get a picture of). We had great service, our waiter was polite and quick. Would I recommend this place to a friend, most likely. I would just be hesitant because of the price of the pizza. read more

I ordered pizza on 02/21 from the chandler AZ location, the pizza we got was burned and had very minimal ingredients. Ironically, we paid for extra cheese. When I spoke with them, I sent a picture of the pizza and was told they'd get back to me. It's been over a week and no one's bothered to email me. If you spend $30 on a pizza, you expect it to be of better quality and for a more responsive effort to resolve the situation. She was so soft spoken it was awkward. We ordered the deep dish pizza and while the pic looked delicious, none of my family enjoyed it. The sauce is on top of the cheese and so when you bite into it, you taste dough and cheese and the marinara hardly comes through. The meat topping was good. The chicken wing flavor was mehhh. Normal Native NY kind of flavor. Nothing to die for. The pizza nachos were soooooo good! I would certainly go again.
