We had a pizza party for lunch at work last week, which meant a long line of overly excited employees waiting for pizza and salad from Listrani's. I tried a bit of the CAESAR SALAD, which was pretty standard with a good Caesar dressing. I also had a slice of the MEAT LOVER pizza -- topped with Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon, meatball toppings -- which was fine but nothing memorable. A few of my coworkers grabbed multiple slices to try different flavors, but overall we agreed the the pizza was more about sustenance than enjoyment and fairly unremarkable. read more

Happy to be leaving this review. Living in the general northern virginia region I struggle to find a great buffalo chicken wrap or grilled chicken caesar wrap. Whenever I do find one, it's part of an american casual restaurant menu priced at $15+ and mostly lettuce and tomatoes. This place you can grab one for $10 (plus a bag of chips). It comes 12 inches with a solid amount of chicken that's well sauced. Service was quick, think less than 15 minutes. Small place to park and dine in as it appears most people take things to go. This place is still going to be a place I recommend if you're in McLean. I used to get lunch here at least once a month when I worked in the area. The California Turkey Cobb sandwich is still my favorite. The price is so good & I am full eating half the sandwich so the other is saved for another meal. I also love the extensive menu. The menu is vast; I opted for a roast beef panini and supreme calzone for takeout. Encountered friendly and efficient service when placing and picking up my order, and the items were neatly packaged. I enjoyed the well-rounded mix of cheeses and meats in the calzone paired with the marinara sauce! It was crisped nicely too and reheated well the next day in the oven. I love listrani's and visit often for Friday night carry out. Their wings are spicy and I recently tried the appetizer sampler which was a unique mix as it had breaded shrimp. I typically opt for their Italian salad and this is my favorite. It comes with antipasta and a very good house dressing but recently tried their Caesar and wasn't disappointed. Their salads are fresh and have good toppings. Most recently I tried their pizza and this was good. It's not NY style but it was delicious and cheesy. I order directly through the website most of the time as they offer discounts if you purchase over a certain amount. Parking can be challenging some times as it is a small lot but you can park on the street nearby. Lastly, the service is always great as their workers are genuinely friendly. The place has a large grease container outside in the parking lot dripping with nasty oil. The restaurant seems to be confused with where to order and where to pay. The food is so basic with the most weird cheese that seems to be like chewing gum. Lastly the outside area is so smelly. Smells like pure urine! Ordered 3 medium pizzas for the game last night. I chose to go with Listrani's instead of Dominoes across the street because Listrani's had listed on the menu that it had a Margarita pizza. The margarita pizza turned out to be an ugly cheese pizza with sandwich cut whole sliced tomatoes sprinkle d with some dried "basil" on it! It was absolutely disgusting and beyond shameful false advertising. So disappointed because I usually like the food here. But charging that much for a fake pizza is just not right. read more

Run-of-the-mill pizza joint with reliable delivery in under a half hour. I ordered the chicken wings, grilled eggplant and onion pizza, eggplant parmesan and everything was mediocre. I don't recommend ordering toppings as they aren't weaved into the cheese, but are underneath the cheese. I didn't like the grilled eggplant and onion toppings and wish I had just stuck with cheese. The pizza is super cheesy. The fried eggplant parmesan served on a soft roll was okay and really cheesy like the pizza. The wings were also average. If you are craving pizza and wings, I would go with Domino's instead. read more

This is the second time I've tried Listrani's and, so far, this place does not disappoint. My mom had the baked ziti and she says it's some of the best she's ever had. The sauce is very unique and really makes the dish stand out. My brother always raves about the lasagna and today was no exception. I had the chicken parmesan sub and it was very tasty. The bread is soft, the sauce is delicious without being too acidic, and the cheese melted on top really brings the whole thing together. My one criticism is the chicken was a bit dry and didn't have much flavor. We also had chicken tenders as an appetizer and I think the chicken tenders were better than the chicken in the chicken parmesan sub. I actually ended up taking out the chicken in the sub and replacing it with a chicken tender and it was a lot better. Also the focaccia bread the meals come with is omg delicious!! Totally addictive. Overall this place has very good food with affordable prices and you can't beat that! I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu! read more

The food is decent. However I fear this restaurant gives special treatment to certain customers. I was picking up food and one of my bags was ready but I was also waiting on pizza, multiple people came and got their pizzas after i arrived. After waiting over 15 minutes, i was asked for the name of my order, i said the name and my pizza was given to me cause it had been ready the entire time. While sometimes I'd say this is an honest mistake, i don't believe it's the case here, for whatever reason the employees (a lot of people working) were very attentive with other customers who came in, but I wasn't asked until i had been waiting for 15 minutes. I'm not sure if I did something to deserve that treatment; whether I did or not, I'm not sure it warranted this response. Hopefully in the future all customers are taking care of equally. Delightfully crusty homemade Italian bread made the Italian Sub II a star with prosciutto, baked ham, Genoa salami, provolone, lettuce tomato red onions and olive oil oregano dressing. Full menu ranging from gourmet salads, subs sandwiches, specialty pizza, lasagna, calzones and pasta dishes. Homemade cheesecakes and tiramisu, along with cookies and blonde brownies. Wow. So far I've been standing in front of the register for over 5 minutes, with 2 employees in front of 2 registers, neither of whom could care less that I'm standing here waiting to place an order. It would appear that they are both more concerned with the pp customers calling in, than the customer, and now 2 customers, are actually inside if their restaurant waiting to place their order. It was my first time that I ever set foot in this restaurant and I was pretty displeased in the way that I was treated. Like I didn't exist. Wow. I have placed my order for a gyro with no onions, and I'm waiting to see what happens next. So busy answering the phones, and now I'm witnessing the same type of treatment for another customer who has walked in. I work across the street and this place is our go-to. Their lunch specials are an unparalleled best value in the area. One item in particular: the Mediterranean chicken salad. For under $10 you're eating a soft and warm breadstick, an amazing salad with damn near a pound of chicken in it, and finishing it all off with a chocolate chip cookie (if you still have room). My office orders from Listrani's often for office lunches or holiday parties. I've tried a majority of their pastas and I find that they tend to lack seasoning and the sauces are pass-able at best. The Parmesan Chicken and Baked Ziti are decent. On the other hand, their pizzas, subs and sandwiches are much better. Maybe I find the pastas lacking because we order the party size? Regardless, I do think they are a little pricey considering the quality of the food, and the food is not the absolute best that you can get in the area. read more

I've driven by the restaurant but never stopped in to eat until today. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and the Italian sausage sub. The pizza is really greasy which was the drawback to it, but if you can get passed that the pizza has a buttery crust which I enjoyed. The flavor of the pizza was good especially after sprinkling on oregano and hot pepper flakes. I would have preferred more sauce on the pizza but overall a good pizza. The Italian sausage sub consists of the hoagie bread, sausage, green peppers, onions, tomato sauce, and a layer of melted cheese on top. It was then baked and came out hot. The bread was soft on the inside because of the sauce and the overall flavor of the sub was quite good. I would come back to check out their other items. read more

This place was cool and this review will be as short as my stay=). Stopped here randomly because I was being lazy and did not feel like cooking dinner. Kid wanted french fries so we stopped in here on the way home. I will say that if you are not looking, you will completely miss this place. It is tucked behind some trees in a random place off Old Dominion. When we pulled up, there was a couple outside; seated at the outdoor dining area. This would be nice for an outdoor lunch or quick date. Once inside, I could tell the place was about to close. There was someone at the register answering phones for last minute delivery orders. It took a while for someone to greet us but I suppose scavenging through their menu required the needed time. A guy popped out the side or back and asked if I was ready. I ordered a chicken tender and fries kids' meal and turkey wrap for myself (partially because I could see the woman making sandwiches) and sat down in the small inside seating area. I noticed it was clean but am not sure if that was because they were about to close. Took about 10 minutes for food to be prepared. Sandwich comes with chips and they have plenty of bottled drink options. Not too bad! read more
