The place: a decent step up from Denny's - nice diner / cafe vibe. The food: loads of European plate cakes and waffles and the little donutty baked balls. All looked and tasted great according to my buddies. For my vegan sensibilities there was avocado toast (don't recommend) and oatmeal (okay). Our super awesome waitress worked with me to make an all veggie burrito. It was plain but with a bit of the hot sauce on the table it was a nice breakfast. The bottom line: clean bathrooms. Clean diminish room. Able to work in a party of 6 with no problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. You should try the place and see what you think. We came in here just for a Bloody Mary break! Looked on Yelp for a place to get a good bloody May and we were just around the corner from the breakfast house. It was so cute with the mini pancakes, bacon and blueberry topper. Nice mix as it had some nice chunky seasonings in it and we noticed they have Fletchers hot sauce. We love Fletchers. I think there was some in the Bloody Mary. We ordered a side of fries to share and they were super crispy on the outside, tender in the inside and were sprinkled with some nice seasonings. Just went there a couple hours ago with my daughter who was here for a short visit. We were excited to try a few things that seemed to be people's favorites based on reviews. Overall I like this place. The mimosa flight was fun and they had a variety of benedicts. I had a fantastic half a scramble and it was awesome. The Dutch baby looked amazing, but was disappointing. It wasn't crunchy when you pulled it apart and it wasn't as sweet as you thought it would be. It just kind of tasted like dough and I wasn't sure what a spritz of lemon was going to do to enhance this dish. There were four of us eating and we still left the Dutch baby unfinished. It stands out on the menu and your curious so you try it... But I already tried it for you, it wasn't all that...so you don't have to buy one. You are welcome. LOL The Florentine Benedict looked amazing and my daughter said it was fantastic. Another friend got strawberry crêpes, and those were super disappointing. Had I been in the restaurant I would if returned them. Toast and hash browns were soggy. Not let's talk about the omelette. The avocado was not fresh. Matter of fact it was borderline rotten. Kudos to Old European staff for handling a difficult situation with ease and grace. A large table, (12) was seated right next to us - 3 toddlers and a baby. One of the toddlers "had a lot of energy" and incited the others into his shenanigans. At one point they knocked a platter off the table and it broke. The staff quickly and efficiently cleaned up the plate shards, as well as a lot of crumbs and debris from under the high chair. Our server checked on us to see if we were disturbed.
