I have been here multiple times and every time the customer service has been great. The donuts are a little on the expensive side, but that it to be expected with the premium take on the donuts they offer. I have always been very satisfied with my purchase regardless of what flavor I've chosen, but my favorite is probably the Creme Brulee. read more

wanted to like this place but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. There was no wow factor and it tasted dense and a little dry. Maybe I did not get the right donut but the choconut and cinnamon one I would not try again. However, the peanut butter one was not too bad but i wanted to dip it in jelly. This place has good donuts. I appreciated that not only did they took care in the presentation and look of the donut but also in the quality and taste of the donut. I feel that donuts have gone through a revolution and a lot of places are taking advantage of that by hiking up the prices to ridiculous levels. Old Ferry is a good compromise to the over the top pricing in that they are reasonable. Yes pricey for donuts but still better than other places. The Butter Pistachio was good but a bit too sweet for me. I think I would have liked it without the filling. The Boston Cream on the other hand looked very rich but surprisingly was very well balanced and not too sweet. I liked this one a lot. I think the Tiramisu was my favorite out of the bunch but honestly all were good. Next time I'll try some of the fruit donuts. My go to donut place is still Randy's but I would come back to Old Ferry if I'm in the mood for some different and unique donuts at a fairly reasonable price. read more

I stumbled upon the location in Buena Park awhile ago and have loved it every since! I was able to get a box of 4 with their grand opening BOGO sale. I'm not a huge fan of donuts, especially filled ones since I always think they're too sweet. But these ones are soooo good! Fluffy texture and the fillings are sweet, but not overly so you really get good flavor from them. I usually get the butter pistachio but wanted to try more flavors. This round, my favorite had to be the coconut one. The people working are always so nice and you can tell they love the business! They also have super cute merch if you're into that. OMG! OMG! OMG! These donuts are so amazing, instant foodgasm as soon as the flavors hit your tongue. I was not expecting it to be THIS good. I'm already feeling my addiction coming on and can't wait to get more and try other flavors. First, I had the butter pistachio which I believe is their signature flavor? Ughhhhh the filling just melts in your mouth and the bits of crunchiness from the pistachios just compliment the subtle sweetness of the glaze. I had 0 expectations of enjoying this donut so much but golly gee, it's so good!! I instantly had to try the crème brûlée right after. What do you know? They hit it right on the nail. The crystallized sugar on top of the donut makes for a satisfying bite, like breaking into the top of actual crème brûlée. The cream inside isn't overpowering sweet, it's an amazing French vanilla custard. I know it's in the name, but it's literally crème brûlée in a donut, the flavor is so spot on, the texture is just as well. Last but not least, the tiramisu. I have no words. It's AMAZING. It is sweeter than the other two, but again, not over done. It's made just right. One side is dusted with I believe is cocoa powder, the other a coffee glaze? Filling also melts in your mouth. They have perfected these flavors! Like absolutely well done. The store is really cute. It's small, and can get crowded if more than a few parties are inside, but the service is very fast. We also got vanilla iced lattes which complimented well with the donuts. The gentleman that served us was really nice and patient, answered all of our questions. Not sure how long their promotion is going, but the donuts were buy one get one free, which he told us as we were ordering. The merch is also super cute, I think I'll get some next time I go. The donuts here are very yummy when fresh. The concept of flavors is unique and a nice change from the same old donut flavors. As they are a few more dollars than an average donut, id probably only come here for special occasions or for a specific flavor. I really like the milk donut and taramisu flavor. The only downside is that they go bad much faster than regular donuts. I got the creme brûlée and boston creme, with the owners suggestion of the butter pistachio and tiramisu. I absolutely love the butter pistachio donut now, and can see why it was suggested. In addition to the donuts, I got an iced cafe latte. Coffee was what you expect a cafe latte to be, and it did the job because it's nearly midnight now and I'm writing this. The service did not disappoint and the inside just had the cutest feeling to it, I'm just happy this location is closer because every time I intended to go to the one at The Source my money is already gone lol, at least my money can go straight to the donuts with this one being closer! read more

The donuts here are not bad, but I feel a bit pricey for what they are. I tried the lemon poppy seed donut as well as their cinnamon sugar cake donut. The lemon poppy seed was far too glazed for me, it had a thick layer of frosting that broke off like a thick white chocolate. Flavor-wise, it was great, but in terms of sweetness, it was too much. As for the cinnamon sugar cake donut, I liked how much cinnamon there was, more than your typical (with also less sugar). You could really appreciate the cakiness of the donut. It also wasn't too crumbly or dry. Overall, I don't think this is somewhere I'd have to rush to, but the donuts are solid. If you're in the area, it might be worth a visit. read more

Went here on a Friday around 12 noon. I got a crème brûlée donut and a tiramisu donut. The crème brûlée's burnt sugar was the perfect amount of crunch but I wish it had a little more filling. I took how many bites and it took awhile until I actually got to taste the vanilla bean custard and that was just in the middle. The tiramisu has the perfect balance of sweet and bitter due to the cocoa powder. I also got a latte and asked for have the syrup and it was perfect. What a special place :') the people working were so kind and ready to help. The donut was AMAZING - i got the pistachio one (filled) and wow it is soooo delicious. Sweet without being overly sweet. The filling is so light but also rich and buttery and the donut is soft and fluffy. Also the interior decor and vibe of the place is super cute! The guy told me they have only been there for a day as a soft opening, and they have their grand opening next week! They're from South Korea, and their only other location is in BP. I got the pistachio butter filled donut and tiramisu, the pistachio butter is heaven :) so yummy, not too sweet. The tiramisu however was my least favorite , didn't taste like coffee. Cute decor and they have some interesting flavors. I don't love that they open so late (10 or 10:30am?) and that they charge for bags. It's also pretty expensive (think sidecar prices but not the sidecar's fresh just out of the fryer taste). If it's because of supply costs, I would honestly skip the individual doughnut box and get a bag instead but that's just me. One time, we bought a bunch of milks (my kid loves them) -- we had a sour one in the mix. It was too long of a drive back to request a swap.
