A15 - Large Bowl of Braised Pork Rice (comes with the soup, Top Left), A3 - Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Soup

I've been itching to try this place after passing it by so many times from going to Tous les Jours next door. I think they also advertise outside that this place is "no tip" as well which is a breath of fresh air from every place starting with 15% tip for just handing you the food you ordered. [[ Service ]] This place was packed on Sunday night at 6pm when we went. It just reminds me of like an open food court vibe where you go up to the counter to order the food, they hand you the puck that vibrates when your order is ready, and you go sit anywhere you like. I literally got my puck and in less than 5 minutes, my food is ready. I thought they move quickly with how many people there were inside. [[ Food ]] At first I thought the food we ordered was "boring". It tastes good but it was very plain with not much going on in the actual meal. HOWEVER, we quickly learned that the magic is actually in their toppings bar where you can mix and match whatever you want to make the dish your own. After grabbing a ton of stuff and mixing it up inside our dish, it was SUPER DELICOUS. We ordered: 1.) A3 - Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Soup 2.) A15 - Large Bowl of Braised Pork Rice [[ Conclusion ]] I definitely will come back here again since it's a no bullshit and fast kind of place to get a delicious meal for relatively cheap.

4.5 stars rounded down coz it's got uncomfortable but stylish stools. Food is definitely delicious whether it's beef stew or Guilin classic... the roast pork I thought can be softer rather than tough crunch. Choice of white round noodles or yellow noodles or rice is a good touch for this type of cuisine. It's a self service place where you order & pay at the counter. Quite an easy process. Having a single register does present some waiting time if everyone arrives at the same time. A convenient buzzer gadget lets you know when your meal is ready. Then you can point & select condiments from the wait staff. Because it's self serve & they ask that you bus the trays & bowls, they refuse tips! Recommended no non-sense noodle place with tasty simple menu.

Decently priced noodle and rice bowls with unlimited toppings (pickled greens, cilantro, peanuts, bamboo shoots, etc). Lots of seating. You do have to get your own food and clean up after yourself. My only complaint is that the rice is mushy.

Very good Guilin noodles! I followed their instructions to eat the noodles and found that I enjoyed the dry version without the bone broth more. I didn't like the special pancake rolls that much - the meat was on the skimpier side, and the pancake could be a bit crispier, but there were crispy bits inside for added texture. One thing that stood out about this place is the self-serve, no tipping model. It's rare to see it these days. Casual, no fuss place. Will definitely come back to try other dishes!

I was hoping one would open in the bay ever since I tried the one in Sac. I loveee the concept of getting to pick your noodle/rice dish and then adding a bunch of toppings :) You go in, order at the counter, pay (no tip), you get a buzzer and get a seat and wait for your order. Good amount of seating available even though it gets busy. Once it buzzes, you go to the counter and let them know what toppings you want. The sac one has a bar where you do it yourself, but this location doesn't. At least they don't skimp though! I recommend getting vinegar while you're there. Water is all filled and ready to grab as well. When you're done, you put your own dishes/tray away. Items: I got the A2 beef brisket dry tossed rice noodles and my bf got the A1 guilin rice noodles. I also got the beef rolled pancake. Everything was great in taste and portion! Would love to go back and try their other items like the old guilin special pancake :)

The service was fast and the food was yummy. You order at the counter and get a tag that vibrates when your food is ready. Self seat, self service, self bus. Water was up on the counter by where you get your food, and bussing bins are set up in the corner. I went during lunch as it was not busy. My sister came during dinner and said it was also not busy, but the restaurant was very hot. Maybe they don't have A/C? I liked that you could choose which toppings you wanted on your dish, they ask when you pick up your food. The toppings added alot of flavor, the dish was pretty light otherwise. The pig ears were kind of hard still, but were good after I packed it home and reheated them. I got rice noodles with braised pork. The rice noodles were thick, but overcooked for my preference. The braised pork was light in flavor. The toppings added texture and the pickles did alot for flavor. There is chili oil on the table.

This was a tasty restaurant. I like that you order before sitting and there is no tipping! They are very fast and lots of seating room. The food is good, although I was extremely sleepy and thirsty after so there probably was MSG in the soup base.

LOVED THIS PLACE. No frills, no tipping, no service. Just order food, grab it yourself and sit down to eat. The fried pork belly is an absolute must!! But their brisket is really good too, especially if you enjoy large cartilage chunks. The portions for their bowls were also very generous. And when you pick up your food, you can choose more toppings to top your bowl. I got everything on it - absolutely flavorful and delicious. I also got their special pancake, which has porkbelly in it and, while oily, was very tasty.

This place was SO GOOD! Cafeteria style restaurant with a good amount of options- mostly rice noodles but had other choices too. There was a station to choose your own sauces and toppings so you can customize your noodles however you like. Flavor and noodle texture was perfect, price was super reasonable (and no service charge!), and service was quick. The atmosphere was very casual but comfortable and clean. Will definitely be coming back!

So delicious, I love the spicy sour taste of gui Lin noodles. This place is super fast, I love all the toppings of pickled beans and crunchy soybeans and they're unlimited.

Tried out this new place for weekend dinner, it is like cafeteria style - order and pay (no tipping) then help yourself to toppings and seating. I got their A1 guilin rice noodle with A20 braised pork, overall 4.5/5 rounded up. Everything was pretty good and tasty along with nice portion sizing. Loved that they gave a lot of meat and their rice noodles were perfect texture. Lot of seating in a spacious place, plenty of parking, quick turnaround on food.

Wow, a brand new place to enjoy our favorite Gui Lin noodles. Kind of hectic on their first day! It's so delicious and the service is great, patience on this first day. Great place for families and seating is simple. Food is delicious! A definite yummy treat! Then we can walk it off at the other stores around! I just found out that you take your own bowls to the cart, kind of like a self service. And there's no tipping! Restaurants with no tipping required is crazy but it's happening here!

Old Gui Lin just opened three months ago is a newly established Chinese eatery serving guilin rice noodles along with beef rolled pancakes and spring rolls. Came by on a Friday morning and was greeted very warmly by the staff. For starters I placed my order at the front counter which was a large bowl of braised pork rice payable by cash or credit/debit card. They will give you a pager when it's ready they will bring it to you how convenience is that. Quite surprise how large the bowl was generous portions comes with a small bowl of broth added to one's desire. Best of all is that they have a self-service toppings/sauce bar along with a portable water dispenser with cups no need for refills. Condiments is on the side of the table with all the utensils how convenient is that. Would definitely be back the braised pork rice was simply delicious with the added broth thrown in onions, cilantro, bamboo shoot, green peas and chili sauce. Prices are far more reasonable than some of it's competitors. By the time I left it got a bit crowded but there's plenty of room along the other side of the room. Ample parking best to come early than later in the day when parking maybe a real hassle. Best of all they have a no tipping policy!

I had a nice interaction with the Asian kid with blonde hair and the other boy that was working, the service was quick! Until recently, been coming in for the past month, I didn't expect things to change so drastically in terms of customer service. I normally do not critic nor do I use yelp to write reviews but I am leaving this here. My recent visits have been terrible, especially on the weekend. The wait is not the issue nor is the coffee. It's the service now, the white woman is insanely rude. I understand the frustration of working and the use of a "customer service" voice, she is just insanely passive aggressive. Her fake attitude doesn't make things better. Saw the doordashers comment and I was there when he had his issue. The white woman didn't put in his order and the same Asian kid was there. He is usually friendly but from what I've seen that day, the white woman made him have a reaction to the situation. She used her passive aggressiveness and even yelled at the doordasher to sit down and wait. I am only speaking up now because of my most recent visits. She is the reason why I won't be coming back here.

Luckily there was no line at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste -- The menu is HUGE and it was difficult to pick just one thing to order. I ended up choosing the Tio Pancho because I can never resist biscuits and gravy. The scramble itself was good, I'm a big fan of their chorizo as it's not overpoweringly sour/tangy like some other places. It was also mild enough that my kids were able to try a little. I opted for the hash browns which added a nice crispiness into the mix. I would actually skip the biscuits and gravy next time -- the biscuits are on the cake-y side and the gravy is a bit bland. My husband ordered the Mexican chicken fried steak. The steak itself was also bland, but it was fine paired with the chorizo and sauce on top. Their hashbrowns are crispy on the outside but made thick with a more mushy inside, not our favorite. My husband's sunny side eggs were also a bit underdone, the egg whites were still runny. We were both fans of the salsa that came on the side. For the kiddos, we got one pancake. We're glad we only got one because it was literally the same size as the dinner plate it came on. It was super fluffy and thiccccc, just how I love it. It was also not too sweet by itself so I felt less bad about giving it to the kiddos. I would say the dishes are served "rustic", it's not the most instagrammable if that matters to you, but it is a mountain of food and a veritable feast. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It's about $20 per entree and the serving sizes are humongous. Definitely enough to share or take home as leftovers. Coffee was $4 but it was actually good coffee, not the watery stuff diners sometimes serve. It only cost $3.95 to upgrade the side of toast to a pancake, which is a steal...I mean, why wouldn't you do it? 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- The food came out unbelievably quickly. We literally said "That can't be it" when we saw them bringing it over. This place is optimized for efficiency -- everything from seating, serving, coffee refills, to bringing the bill was streamlined yet not rushed. Bonus star because we would come back when we are craving brunch. We would come early to avoid the lines.

It was also memorial Day weekend. And our server was really nice and food came out pretty quick. The second time I came here, my experience was completely different. We were put on the wait list which was almost a 30-minute wait. It was pretty busy that day, Sunday around brunch. We were seated in a table where one side is a booth and the other side is a chair, but you can tell that they just wanted to cram as many tables as they could in the restaurant. The spacing in between the tables to our sides was so small, we had to physically move our table just to get in and out of the booth. And we did the same thing when other tables were getting out of the booth. It was also really loud in there. We didn't really like it since we were there to have a nice, chill brunch. We could barely hear each other talking. The service was really slow and it was hard to flag down our server. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the space and ambiance wasn't what we hoped it would be. Another downside is the parking lot. There are so many shops in one small plaza, they didn't plan enough parking spaces for customers. We noticed people having to park in the plaza next door, which I wasn't sure if we were allowed to do. So we just had to drive around the plaza and find whatever spot we could. After being there twice, I don't think I would eat at the restaurant again. I would maybe order to go, but since we don't live in the area it's not likely we would drive all the way there to pick up food.

When you ask for crispy bacon, you get CRISPY BACON. We have not had any that gets it as crispy and perfect. When you order anything with fruit, it's an actual array of fruit and not like 4 pieces of melon and 1 strawberry. Our waitress was extremely helpful with all our questions and very kind. The rest of the staff were very present and easy to flag over for any questions or requests. Our drinks were constantly being filled and plates were being cleared very swiftly. If you order anything to go or as a side to your meal, please try the blue cheese dressing. It's made in house and was so good we had to ask for some to go. I can't wait to go back. So delicious!!

Large portions, basic menu items. It's what you would expect from a diner. Plenty of parking, really small waiting area inside. Family owned business. We didn't have to wait long for a table for our family. We'll definitely be back to support this local diner.
