I have to also preface that I found a rock in the food. -Garlic pea shoots 5/5, perfect sautéed greens -Pork & crab XLB 5/5, so tender and juicy without excessive grease. Just FYI it is not the typically "soupy" style, the broth is held delicately by the soft filling! -Crab, seafood, pork clay pot 3/5, although very delicious and exquisite delicate flavor, I unfortunately found a rock mid-chew. Thankfully I was eating mindfully and did not bite down hard. Disclaimer: You should always be careful when you eat - accidents happen, so things like hair, bugs, rocks, paper, plastic, or bits of metal just end up in your food sometimes. The service is fine. We did come on a busy Saturday afternoon. This type of restaurant is not one where you should linger and socialize for long, just come fill up and then be on your way lol. We decided to come to Full House Dumpling for a dinner on a Friday night. The inside has a line with a divider that's similar one you would often see in Chipotle so our assumption is that it is a takeout like it. However, when we moved toward that direction, the waitress flagged us down and told us it is a sit down restaurant. Odd? Yes. The decor inside is fairly basic but clean, it's like a place you'll go to get your food but not remember the inside very much after you leave. There was no one when we came inside so we got our orders in pretty quick. We ordered: Food - (3 out of 5 stars) 1. Matsuzaka Meat with Garlic Sauce 2. Juicy Pork Dumplings (6 Pieces) 3. Green Onion Pancake with Egg (6 Pieces) 4. Sautéed Plain Asparagus 5. Salted Egg & Yolk with Tofu 6. Prawns Fried Rice 7. Mushu Pork with Egg top While most of the dishes tasted "fine", we could tell that the dishes weren't cooked by a professional chef from Taiwan. The taste are just a little, "off" and on the lighter side of things. While they didn't taste bad, they weren't great either. Back at one of our favorite Taiwanese restaurant. Got our usual dishes. We came for a later lunch around 1:45pm, so we didn't have to wait. The kitchen closes by 2:20pm as lunch is closed by 2:30pm where you can only get take out. I always have to get the taro clay pot soup with vermicelli noodles, crab, octopus, fish ball, and mushrooms. We always have leftover of the soup and I love it because I can eat another meal out of it later. The soup has lots flavors and my stomach is quite satisfied. Perfect for the winter! The restaurant is also nice and clean and descent size. There is also a cute dumpling statue in the front that you can take a photo with your family if you are visiting from out of town. read more

Especially good quality that I used to get pre-pandemic days.. unfortunately most of the good ones didn't survive the pandemic and no longer existed. :( It was average in flavor and taste. Another update. Our family came to visit during Christmas time and they requested to come back here. We actually hadn't planned on coming here when they initially came a couple years ago but we were thwarted at a busier spot so we decided why not bring them to our go-to spot. So it did give them a good impression that they asked to come here again specifically for their Dong po pork with mini buns. So we came again but this time it was packed but we didn't wait too long to get seated. Then it was just a matter of ordering everything and getting all the food. Unfortunately they did mess up one of our orders which has also happened in the past. It's okay. We'll eat anything but it was a bummer though. But the quality has still been pretty much the same. We're still always comparing other places to this spot for the XLBs. There is a bathroom, but there's only one. So if someone is in there for a while, you'll have to wait. It was a bit difficult to brush my teeth in there though. There's also a lot of seating inside of various sizes that can be combined or taken apart depending on your party size which is nice. They're fast with their food so you won't wait long to be fed. Overall, we're still coming back here often whenever we're craving xlbs or just comfort food. read more

Been here for a few times. The soup dumplings are always good. We tried all three kinds - the pork, pork & crab, loofah squash & shrimp. Dumping wrapping is thin and each steamer has 6 dumplings. Service is fast. It's nice that there are no bones in the drunken chicken and the three-cup chicken dishes. The fish filet with sweet and sour sauce is a bit strange since they added tomato sauce in it which isn't what we expected. The weekend is pretty busy and expect to wait if you go there around lunch time. Pretty solid experience here, it gets pretty busy here during lunch but if you come early enough you'll likely be able to grab a table. Most of the food options are solid, I haven't seen a place with braised beef soup with glass noodles and it's such a delicious dish. If you like the classic noodles, they also have that as an option. They're known for their dumplings and the Xiao Long Bao is delicious, they make sure everyone has ginger, soy sauce and vinegar. It is a bit milder in taste and the skin on the dumplings are on the thicker side. The shumai here doesn't use fish eggs and really well balanced in pork + shrimp. read more

We will make the half-hour drive from the South Bay just to take friends and family who have not yet been graced with this delectable cuisine. On our most recent visit, we ordered the Juicy Pork Dumplings, Tasty TW Ground Pork Rice, Bell Pepper Beef Fried Rice, and Three Cup Chicken Pot. Juicy Pork Dumplings (4/5): These little soup dumplings will bust a tasty load of liquid pork goodness into your mouth on the first bite! Each dumpling packs a surprisingly large amount of soup, and the pork filling itself is seasoned well. The dough is a little too thick, however. Not the best soup dumplings I've ever had, but it's up there. Tasty TW Ground Pork Rice (4/5): This is their braised pork over rice dish, or lu rou fan. The braised ground pork is fatty and tender, with its gluttonous grease leaking all over the rice and blessing each individual grain with its savory essence. Comes with a braised egg too. Bell Pepper Beef Fried Rice (5/5): This is a very well-made fried rice! The rice isn't soggy -- you're able to discern separate grains in your mouth, and it's also savory and seasoned well. The beef isn't chewy, there's a generous amount of eggs, and the bell peppers and onions add the perfect crunch and bite. Three Cup Chicken Pot (5/5): This dish harmonizes flavors of soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger with notes of basil and green onions to create a mouth-watering symphony of chicken! The flavor of the juicy chicken in this dish is legit -- one bite and I'm transported back to my childhood like that scene with Anton Ego in Ratatouille! Their soup dumplings were all super juicy, and we got the regular, crab, and loofa shrimp ones. I think they used egg tofu in the salted egg which made it super yummy! Very busy hours when we arrived and have to wait to be seated in a line with more than 10 people. Finally got seated after 10 minutes of waiting. We ordered two sets of dumplings-- one with steamed fish and the other for pawns. Each set come with 6 and you eat with vinegar and ginger slice. The taste falls into the original flavor of ingredients without too much added seasonings. It's good for a hot season when you don't want anything heavy. The Taiwanese sesame oil soup with meat is surprisingly good with good portions of meat. When a Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant gets 3.5 stars on Yelp, then you know it must be good. Those expecting excellent customer service and doing everything at your beck and call need not come here. Or any other Chinese restaurant then, frankly. Know the assignment when you come here. How to get around it? Look at the menu beforehand and then order right when you get seated. Or just be patient, like every restaurant they're short staffed so understand the situation. Food is tasty! We always get the pickled cabbage warm pot, prawn fried rice, Seafood Tofu XO hot pot, and dumplings. The soup dumplings are fine, there's better ones out there in the Bay Area, but it's good enough to get the job done when we come. The best part of this dish is that you could get unlimited refill of the rich soup base which I could just happily drink alone. Also the portion sizes are insane, it could comfortably feed 5 people at least, it was overflowing with so many ingredients. I loved the addition of taro to this dish as it added another texture and the vegetable soaked up all the delicious broth which I really enjoyed. - Spicy Eggplant & Pork Intestines Pot - If you order this dish would recommend to eat it with rice because there's a lot of flavor. At first I thought they would have the smaller kind of intestines but they actually served up the large intestine which was tasty and fatty. I wish there were slightly more eggplant in this pot. My favorite is the sliced beef wrapped in a green onion pancake with fresh green onions. The beef is tender, and the green onion pancake is crispy with fresh herbs.
