We like going here every so often. The food is good if you stick with the sandwiches and salads and I love the atmosphere. There really went through some tough times, and here they are, still chugging along. I admire that. The owners must be really good business owners and good people. Our experience last night was the best yet. The service was terrific as usual. My husband had the french dip, which he really liked. But the main reason I came here was to praise the southwestern salad I chose. It was quite simply, the best salad of this type I have ever had. And I have had quite a few. I love tex-mex type food. This restaurant has moved up the list of places we will choose from when have our weekly dinner out, even though it's more of a drive than we usually like. read more

My husband ordered take out from here to feed our family of four during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are very happy to support local during this time because the struggle is truly real with all of these businesses. In terms of food, I ordered the brew pub burger with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the mac attack burger with fries. My littlest had the kids cheese pizza and my oldest had the kids mini burgers with cheese and bacon. Both of my kids cleaned their plates with no complaints. As for my husband, he did the same. As for me and my brew pub burger, well it was a little challenging to finish but I did it! I enjoyed every bite. Their burgers aren't served with mayo, ketchup, or mustard, just the fixings that are described on the menu. I appreciate that! If I wanted all the fixings that came on a burger, I would go get my fix elsewhere for that. Their burgers here are somewhat unique in that sense and very flavorful! After eating their brew pub burger, I have officially decided that a fried egg (sunny side up especially) on top of a burger is one of my favorite food combinations. Visited here for dinner and drinks Friday at 5pm. The place was very slow, although it took ten minutes before we were seated. Drinks came quickly and were good. Dinner and appetizers were extremely slow. 30 minute wait from ordering to receive Pretzels and cheese. 45 minutes to receive our meals. Pretzels were good and fries good. Burger was over cooked, dry and hard. Server was a very nice lady but the kitchen here is terrible. Will not return. read more

I'm going to start off by saying the BEER is 5 stars! Let's get that straight. My issue was with my meal. It was just lackluster and didn't live up to my expectations. It was supposed to be a ribeye with peppercorn sauce and parmesan rosemary fries. I ordered my steak medium rare. They nailed the internal temperature but the sear on the outside was more of a burnt char. The peppercorn sauce was a cold pat of butter with peppercorn in it. The fries were crispy shoestring potatoes, but there was no parmesan , almost no salt, and one sprig of dried up rosemary that wasn't really edible. I ate some and took the rest home to be repurposed. I'll give them another chance because anyone can have a bad day. I think I will try a burger next time. read more

They clearly use a burger press to smash a burger patty as tightly as possible, which leaves you a dense hockey puck with no flavor. Let me educate you on how to properly make a burger patty. First get yourself a 5 to 5 1/2 inch metal ring. Next take a half a pound of 80/20 ground beef and put it in the ring. Gently push down with your hands until the meat spreads evenly in the ring. The less you touch it the better. Take the ring off and put it on a griddle for about three to four minutes per side. Whatever you do, don't smash the patty with a spatula as it will lose all of its precious juice. I'm happy to show you if you want a demonstration. read more

I had a burger and onion rings. It was alright. It could've benefitted from more seasoning and it wasn't that hot, temperature wise. The bartender, I forget his name, was amazing!! We were able to get seated right before the giant party that was starting outside. There were a couple more parties in the dining area and that made our wait for the food quite a while. What I do really appreciate is that they actually let us know that food was going to take a while because of the parties they had BEFORE we were seated! It was nice of them to be upfront about the time. I would go back and try something else from their menu to give it another shot. read more

Stay away from this place. It might look nice in the outside, but you're in for an adventure. We were sat outside. As we sat there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to wait on us. The best fun was everyone that's running or walking on that trail pushes their way through to go use the bathroom. They don't care that you're sitting there and they're squeezing by everyone and then racing back out. So you're sitting through a cut through for everyone to take a leak. Let's get to the food we ordered two items. They were dried out overcooked and to be honest, it looked like old frozen food when you ripped it apart. Chicken was a gray color and the pork chop was well. I don't know. Just don't get it if you go there. but the best part is that the table behind us had people there that had their dog sleeping on top of the table. After they left, no one came out to clean the table. They ended up sitting another family there. Outrageous that the staff will allow animals to lay up on top of their tables .they don't even bother to clean anything. It was a terrible place six months ago when we were there, we tried it again and it was even worse. Maybe they should try some fresh food instead of some frozen crap that they get out of the freezer and fry until you can't eat it. Avoid this place I guess go to McDonald's at least you know what you're getting there. read more

I have been here before. But I live on the other side of town and haven't been in a while. We wanted to try Matt's brewery out and this restaurant was perfect since it's in the same building. The food was very good I got the hamburger with coffee rub. It wasn't bad. I also go the sweet potato fries. (There wasn't but a few sweet potatoes fries) my wife love the food she got also. The waitress was very friendly. We sat outside on the deck. Later thinking that was a bad idea. (There should be a sign. "Your kid much be on a leash" yeah they were that bad. Kelly and her entire staff , especially Kelsey and Doug couldn't have made it any better on every aspect , especially concerning COVID restrictions. Kelly was extremely professional and catered to our questions and concerns. Great job setting up the venue and execution of the Food and Beverages. Couldn't have been any more pleased and would suggest anyone who is looking for such a size event to have it there. Heard many compliments from our guest and thought it was worth every penny . We showed up and told there was a long wait but bar seating was first come first serve. After standing at an open, dirty table for over 10 min I asked the waitress serving the able next to us if she was able to clean off this table so we could sit. She was more than happy to help as she was training a new staff member. The male bartender comes around the bar and pulls the dishes from her arms and says" thanks but you don't need to clean this I'm gonna have to wipe it down still "as he gives us attitude. As she walks past the bar he stops them again and says "they are young to have to wait a while anyways since I'm busy and I wasn't ready to get to it" . I have never been to a restaurant where I was as so off putted by the rudeness of a bartender. Completely non-welcoming! Every now again I venture to Lexington to visit with to a have few beers. This is one of the spots we meet up to a drink hazy IPA or some new sour that just landed. Joey is an older man who is always attending to us getting us food and clean glasses if we need them or nachos. The restaurant manager will always come by to see us every visit. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. We always enjoy their fries with beers please order the ranch to dip them in as that is the best way. Actually located in an old textile mill adjacent to a mill pond, it is known for its delicious She-Crab Soup, although all other entrees are first-rate. There is an emphasis on fried fare, which will please those raised in the South but may leave some disappointed there aren't more healthier options. This said, the salad offerings are creative and fresh, and food is served piping hot, fresh, and by friendly staff. Burgers are large and the sandwiches loaded.
