Suggested by a friend to meet up at Old Texas Brewing. I figured we'd have a couple of drinks and some "bar food" Was not expecting what we found. Passion may be one of the best Bartenders in Ft. Worth. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you sit at the Bar, you can enjoy the Ice Rail - Looks cool - works better. Lots of beer on Tap, and also a full-service bar. The apps and food are actually better than a lot of restaurants - very good. We were there for Trivia Night. The only thing I would suggest would be to work on the audio for that. Loud enough, maybe too loud, but about 30% unintelligible. Overall, a great place that I would recommend, and not hesitate to return to.

Saturday afternoon, looking for a place that was dog friendly to meet with friends. We got here first before the others, here is what we liked: * Dog friendly, staff was great. Offered water and brought him treats. Had areas in the shade if needed. * The beer they had was cold. More on that later. * Service was friendly, and she had a good sense of humor. What could of been better: * Things happen, so we get it. They were having issues with the beer lines and most of their drafts were unavailable. Waitress handed us a list with all the beers they didn't have. * Fried pickles were just ok- little greasy and I thought a small serving for the price. We didn't end up staying long , just had a beer and appetizer due to most the beers not available.

Fun place to enjoy a great meal and have a drink. Stopped by for their St Pattys celebration and they had live music! Our waitress Passion was amazing! Great drink specials on Sundays! They have a great bar area and so many televisions to watch March Madness!

Unfortunately I was only able to get out for one burger during Fort Worth burger week and it was at Old Texas Brewing. When I arrived at about Noon on Sunday it was moderately busy with a brunch crowd, but I was able to have a seat at the bar no problem. The bartender was nice and got my beer too me quickly and it was a delicious stout they have on draft but when I asked what the burger was for burger week she didn't describe it very well but I ordered it anyway even though she took awhilet to comeback and take my order, it was basically a cheeseburger with an onion ring on it and some sort of Chipotle sauce which made it quite obvious that the restaurant wasn't trying very hard to be original or unique for burger week cause this burger clearly lacked effort. Overall this place seems like a nice spot to come and have some drinks with friends especially on a nice weather day as they have ample outdoor seating, and various specials offered throughout the week. It's worth a try to check it out, the verdict is still out on the food

Old Texas has been consistently on the Mark every time we go to eat there. They have several TVs around the restaurant. They have games to play inside and outside especially on the patio. There's a lot of fun. It's a very family friendly atmosphere.

The food is overpriced for majority of the items, and I would NOT recommend the BBQ items. I've gotten the sausage and it was cold. This time around, I had the 10pc bone-in wings. Sauce was awesome, but it was 14.99 without sides. CRAZY. They seem to only have only two or three receivers for all the TV's and switch the channels in the middle of the games. One game went into OT and they changed the channel AFTER asking if my group was watching it. There were a total of 4 tables in there. Worst place to watch sports.

Thought we would try something new for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Took advantage of their great patio. I believe this place has been open less than a year. I didn't go inside and can't comment on the interior. Trinity, our server was friendly and attentive. Made a point to check on us periodically throughout the meal. They have a varied menu and a great selection of beers to choose from. I had their OTXB Lager and enjoyed it. My husband had his usual, chicken fried steak, and liked it. He said he wished the gravy had more flavor. The onion rings were decent, but the side salad was great. Large portion with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese, croutons and dressing. I had the lunch portion of grilled fish and shrimp. It was good and cooked well, but nothing exceptional. Fried okra was very good. Both meals came with a garlic Texas toast. Saw other options on the menu that I want to try. I plan to try their beignet dessert next time. Check their website for daily specials and different activities in the evening. We will definitely be back.

Stopped here for happy hour after work. Early in the afternoon on a Thursday so pretty quiet. Sat at bar and had a couple drinks and some cheese fries. Staff friendly and attentive. Very clean restaurant/bar/ restrooms. Pretty varied menu. Full bar, variety of drinks/beers. Would definitely return and try again.

Saturday, early afternoon. Not very busy. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We had the BBQ brisket and jalapeno sausage. Large servings of the brisket. The side salads were crisp and fresh. The sweep potato fries were waffle fries. IMO the BBQ sauce would be better on the side not slathered on the brisket. The Happy Hour specials and pricing were confusing. I would improve the pricing and simplify. Nowhere should a pint of Yuengling beer be six dollars....especially during happy hour. The manager looked very engaged with the customers and doing a fine job. Server was friendly. read more

Honestly we were going to first watch but the wait was too long so we found this place around the corner. So glad landed here because $3 mimosas for one and it's spacious/kid friendly for another. They have the best brunch kids menu and the food was good. Maybe not the greatest but a safe spot to know you'll get a good atmosphere, decent food and friendly staff. I enjoyed my breakfast tacos. My husband got fish and okra. He liked his as well. I ended up have 3 mimosas (again $3 each!) and my husband got a Bloody Mary. read more

Have been here back to back weeks. Have tried a variety of items with various friends and each entree has been as delicious as the previous one. The service has been fantastic with all the staff answering our questions and recommending food to try. The place is a bit hidden since it's tucked in where Sprouts is located, but haven't had a hard time finding parking. Lots of space and tvs to catch a game and relax with an island bar centered to give you a view from all angles of the restaurant. Can't wait to try trivia night also and any events they host in the future . read more

Table Ordered: pretzel with beer cheese, Bacon wrapped jalapenos, fish and shrimp combo with mac and chz and mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak with broccoli and brisket nachos. The best thing from the above list was the pretzel, the rest was completely forgettable. Skip the bacon wrapped jalapenos if your bar for those are high. Half order comes with 2 and they were watery? How? They did the bacon like a hammock to the jalapenos, they were odd and not good at all. Gravy was typical just add water stuff, not flavorful. The Mac was nothing special. The fish and shrimp was reported to have tasted very greasy and soggy from too much grease and the cod was "like a fish stick". Chicken fried steak was far far from standout. Their queso isn't half bad but the nachos were also just meh for the value. If I did it again.... stick with apps and drinks here. The drink menu had a ton of options! We had a few beers and I had a Texas Sunset which was ok, mostly juice. The food is very meh so if you get something, don't set a high bar on it. The service. We went on a Friday night and our waitress was overwhelmed and she made sure we knew it. She was super nice but she knew the service lacked. So just know they are still ironing out things as of now on their processes and new wait staff learning the ropes. I give a pass for service this time around. Inside was very loud with the band. We were yelling to have a convo which is expected in that type of environment. Overall, it was 2-3 stars but it wasn't anything special. read more

Food was horrible. I had the club sandwich. My friends and my wife had the most disgusting barbecue I've ever seen. The barbecue as they called it was nothing more than nasty roast beef with bbq sauce, horrible. Will never return. We went on karaoke night and was so loud we could not hold a conversation. I made reservations for 7pm. When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant. That should have been my first clue how bad the food was. Only thing you could hear was a parade of lousy singers who thought they could sing.! Our best friends had come down from Michigan for a visit. I was totally embarrassed to have taken them here. Run from this place!! read more

Our visit was very pleasant. The new I terror is bright and inviting. The chicken fried steak was solid and the full bar was well stocked. Our server was excellent and we never suffered an empty glass. I am confused about the "brewing" in the name. I saw no evidence of brewing so they must be brewing at the main location in Burleson. read more

The server X said we needed to hurry to order because we only had 20min to order the kitchen closes. We pick the restaurant because they say they are open until 10pm. This is a great place . They have locations in Ft Worth and Burleson. We go to the Ft Worth location and are never disappointed. The service had stood out, our servers are always knowledgeable of the menu and make recommendations. And the drinks are strong and with a good happy hour. read more

We really don't understand the high reviews, which is the reason why we gave it a shot. However, our actual experience was anything less than promised and anticipated. The brisket-filled jalapeños seemed overpriced for only four to be served. The Mushroom-Swiss burger was overcooked and without any essentials, such as lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Very bad. The dirty (Cajun) rice was heavily overcooked and missed basic ingredients (cheap). The grilled cheese sandwich was okay, greasy, but eatable. Also, it was unfortunate to be trapped with a baby shower who seemed to grasp everyone's attention. It took us a while to check out to escape the noise. read more

This review is for Old Texas Brewing in Fort Worth. We have been to this restaurant on several occasions and I've always considered it a five-star restaurant. Not only has the food been excellent, so has the service. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with the visit that we had today. Both the service and the food were significantly lacking. We started out with a drink order which was not filled correctly. We had to send two of the drinks back and they did replace them. The food we ordered was also not properly filled. Two of the orders were not correct. They did give us a credit for one of the orders which I appreciate. Then we get to the service which was worse than the food. We had to wait forever to get our drinks and our food. I couldn't believe how long it took. The waiter blamed the kitchen which was probably correct but I really don't know. I really hate to post a negative review like this since I did like the restaurant in the past, but it will give me some pause before I go back again. read more

I had a chance to try Old Texas Brewing Co. yesterday afternoon and it was the perfect choice for drinks on the patio! They have a choice corner spot in the building enabling a large, partially covered, wrap around patio. Our server, Angelica, was knowledgeable and attentive! Great personality!! The owner, Rick, stopped by our table and we snagged a photo! He's on the left in the black shirt! I had a bacon cheeseburger, which was delicious! One friend had a basket of cheese fries, topped with jalapeños - they were ALSO delicious!! We later moved inside to watch college basketball. There are TONS of big screens inside, so I'm looking forward to going back during football season!! read more

Took awhile to get drinks. Got appetizers but no plates, napkins, silverware. In my opinion they weren't too busy but the waitress looked overwhelmed so she may have been waiting tables outside too. Would have gave more stars but the meat eater pizza was really disappointing after seeing others on yelp. read more

Was in Texas for a funeral and came across this spot. Didn't know what to expect but this has been my favorite part of the trip. Food was spectacular. Waitress was so sweet very attentive and made sure we left with full bellies. When you first walk in a smiling host is there to greet and seat you. It was Saturday and every TV had a college game on which was a big plus for us. Will be back next time we come to Texas. read more

We ate dinner there tonight with friends that have never been there before. This was our second time there, and tonight's visit was extremely disappointing. We had a party of 8 and we had 2 separate checks (4 and 4). Our friends meals (4 meals) came out quickly and my daughter and her boyfriend's meals came out quickly. My wife and my meals came out extremely late. Everyone's meals were just about done when I had to flag down another server to see where our meals were. About 10 minutes later my wife and I got our meals, they were hot. When our server Triniti finally came, I voiced my displeasure. The excuse was maybe there wasn't enough food on the tray for our meal. Other excuse was the meals came out in the order it was entered, which makes no sense as all meals should've been entered at the same time. Also, if there wasn't enough room on the tray, why didn't our 2 meals not come immediately thereafter? Also our food was hot, which makes me think the food was not entered in initially. When Triniti came back, she said the manager would only comp 1 meal 50% considering 2 meals were extremely late. What made me more mad was there was a mandatory gratuity added to the meal. Triniti did not deserve as much as she got for a tip considering there was no follow up after the initial meals were dropped off, and considering I had to flag someone down to find the status of our 2 missing meals. Triniti knew I was upset, yet she made no attempt to rectify the situation any further. I'm surprised that the manager on duty didn't even visit our table after a complaint was made. This tells me that they don't value their customers. Nonetheless we're not coming back, and I will do everything in my power to steer my friends away from your establishment. read more

Dropped in for lunch at 11:30 on a Wednesday. Met by friendly and cheerful Ashley who acted as hostess and server. No wait to be seated. I ordered the 1/2 Apple Gorgonzola salad, hubs had the pork sandwich. Both meals were excellent!! The salad was generous sized even for a half, the ingredients were fresh and the dressing light and delicious. Pork sandwich was also a hit. Huge portion and great flavor! They're tucked away in a shopping area and not visible from the street, but well worth the effort to find. read more

Went here for a casual drink and appetizer. Turns out they had an awesome band and great drink specials! Was recommended the brisket nachos and they were pretty dang all right. Definitely want to go back and try out the rest of the food! Lots of TV's and beers on tap, this place is exactly what we needed in this area for watching sports with great service. What I got was a broth that watered down the grits instead of enhancing them. Kind of a downer. I mentioned to Keith but he doubled down on the broth being gravy. As I said they had just opened. I suspect they were not 100% prepared that day and just tried to make do. I think if we had come in an hour later our experience would've been much better.

This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.

As someone who worked here and ate here, don't. Terrible management who does not take accountability and leaves servers to figure out a shift on their own.
