    Old Town Bakery

This is a five star destination! Great coffee, top notch pasteries and breakfast sandwiches and burritos that are worth every penny. If this bakery was in my town I'd never spend a morning elsewhere. The only place I visited twice in my Key West stay.

We stop to inquire about a golf cart rental. He provided us information for the rental, and also told us to check out Old Town Bakery since my husband was on a search to find a good key lime pie. They offer street parking, which was great and they weren't busy at our time of arrival. We knew what we wanted and it didn't take long to order and receive it! It's a small bakery, so it may not be conducive for dining in, but it was perfect for to-go orders. I'm not a huge fan of key lime pie, but it wasn't tangy which I was expecting it to be. It came with some whipped cream, but it wasn't piled on. It had a good flavor overall. My husband also enjoyed it, but wished it was a little lighter and fluffier.

I was on the hunt for best Key Lime Pie! There are so many places who claim to be the best, but Old Town Bakery hit it out of the park! This is a must stop if you want to indulge in the best pie around!

I enjoyed a deliciously large bacon, egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich from Old Town Bakery. It was packed full of scrambled eggs covered in melted cheese with nice crispy slices of bacon. Service was fast early in the morning and the coffee was flavorful as well. We took our order to go to enjoy poolside at our hotel which was lovely.

We loved this spot in Key West. Every item we ordered was delicious - standouts included the cafe mocha and the danish tastes even better than it looks. The entire pastry lineup has an artisan look and frankly taste as well. The employee that took care of us was super sweet and friendly and didn't hesitate to ask questions and make recommendations based on what we were looking for. It can't be helped really, but the only thing that would have made this place even better is if there was space to have a few tables to grab a seat and enjoy - the only option for that being a shabby wooden bench outside by the street corner. We were on our way out of town anyhow, so we took it all to go and enjoyed the coffee drinks and baked goods on the go!

Curry chicken salad w/ apples & sprouts - so good!

Delicious! Come here for delicious coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. I love the frozen coffee. I also love the multiple veggie sandwich choices. Their bread is so good, although the crust is sometimes hard. The curry chicken salad sandwich with apples and sprouts is sooo good. The TBJ is one of my favorites, it's stuffed huge! My husband didn't like the French dip very much, it wasn't stuffed as much as my TBJ or curry chicken. The sticky bun is amazing! So are the croissants. Great prices here too! Which is rare for key west. No seating, order at the counter and take it Togo. I'll be back!!

The sandwich special of the day and me very excited about it.

I saw this shop on the corner and turned around because I needed a breakfast sandwich. I left with a pastry and this amazing sandwich of the day. It was roast beef, chimichurri, pickled onion, roasted red peppers, arugula, and cheese on their Italian bread. When I say that the flavor of this sandwich was complex and every ingredient was needed. The women working were so friendly and engaging. It's a cute and small place that exudes friendliness and wanting to help. Highly recommend!

Easy to order online or call in and order. If you want sandwiches, they do make them after 7am, but you have to call it in since the online order for sandwiches doesn't start until 11 am. It's a small store. Not much place to sit. Got the TBJ: 3.5 stars. turkey bacon and onions helped jam. Turkey and bacon were good. But the onion jam was lackluster or maybe there was not enough of it. Vegan sandwich:4 stars. Glad they had this option for my mom. The caprese sandwich with added salami. :4 stars. The little one ate it all up which means it was good. Good prices for lunch sandwiches.

Was craving a quick and easy lunch and decided to try this place out. Parking is weird in the area but I was able to find a spot like a block and a half away. Walked in and said hello to the cashier (I was the only customer in the bakery at that time) and she did not say anything back. Once I said I'm ready to order is when she acknowledged me and said what will you be having. I ordered the build your own sandwich. I ordered it with turkey, fontina, lettuce, tomato, onion and then I paid the 0.75¢ extra for the basil pesto. When my sandwich was ready I took it back to my car to eat it (there isn't anywhere to sit and eat here). I was disappointed to find out the basil pesto was barely there. Only on one spot in the middle of each half. So the majority of the sandwich was dry. The sandwich was good but dry, especially when I ordered it with the pesto and paid extra for it (didn't pay a lot but you get the point). The bread was good. Overall a good not great experience. Would I come back? Yes. Would it be my first suggestion? No.

Cute little grab and go coffee shop and bakery on Eaton Street. Flaky pastries, yummy breakfast items and huge sandwiches for $10. A great place to pop in for breakfast or a sweet treat. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches, croissants and freshly baked breads. Didn't try the scones, which are normally my favorite because 3 mornings in a row they were raspberry and I'm a weirdo that doesn't like raspberries . Great variety of items and wonderful, friendly and efficient service.

Also tried the key lime pie - not as creamy as the one in Hurricane Hole. It's cheaper though.

Sticky bun roll was yummy also ordered cafe con leche which can be better. Service is amazing.

I forgot to take a photo of their cold brew process that was being done in the morning, but it was fascinating to watch. The process looked painstakingly slow, yet very cool and worth seeing. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, a small afternoon coffee break was much needed. We ordered iced coffee along with a slice of honey cake. The cake was moist, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with either iced or hot coffee. The only downside was the service toward the end of our visit. Since they were preparing to close, the staff had already started putting things away and cleaning while customers were still seated and eating or drinking. Personally, I think cleaning should begin after closing time rather than while guests are still trying to enjoy their experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the honey cake and would love to try their cold brew next time.

I arrived around 7:30 a.m., and the place was already starting to get busy. Food They offer a very interesting assortment of donuts, including flavors you don't typically see elsewhere. Options like Blueberry Cheesecake, Brown Butter Hazelnut, and Cuban Coffee Cake stand out. I chose the Cuban Coffee Cake. It was essentially a spiced coffee cake shaped like a donut, topped with plenty of glaze and crumble. The portion was generous. It could easily feed two people, but I managed to finish the entire thing. For a beverage, I ordered a Mocha Latte. The flavor was very good, but it was served on the cool side. It was completely cold before I finished, and I ended up tossing the last portion. They only serve drinks in paper cups, not ceramic mugs. Although mugs were visible, I was told the health department does not allow them to use them. For me, coffee in a real mug always feels better than paper. Service I have mixed feelings about the service. The person taking my order seemed a bit on edge. When I asked about the mug situation, she appeared annoyed that I would even ask. Since it was my first visit, I asked about the most popular donut, and that also seemed to irritate her. I rephrased and asked for her personal favorite instead, which she answered more willingly. I noticed a few other staff interactions, and the overall tone of the crew felt tense. Not sure if that's typical or if it was just a busy morning. Atmosphere I took a small table inside to finish my coffee and donut. There are several small tables, best suited for two people. Toward the back of the dining area there were boxes and pallets visible. This isn't necessarily a place you visit for ambiance. Most people grabbed a box of donuts and left. Only a handful were dining inside. If you want a good donut with creative flavors, this place delivers. Just don't expect a relaxed coffee shop experience with welcoming, friendly staff.
