Great place! I had lunch here and ordered the grilled tuna. It was delicious ! The tuna had chopped vegetables in it, is light on the Mayo and comes with tomatoes and avocado too. You get a choice of a side and I ordered the side salad with balsamic-based dressing. The salad was good also with fresh greens and a tasty but light dressing. To top it off I ordered a nonfat cappuccino. It was amazing! It tasted like the ones I've had in Italy. Authentic and delicious. The service was excellent too. Our waiter and waitress were both friendly and helpful. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed...great food and service, clean environment and reasonable prices. read more

Been here many times, never once had something that I didn't like. Although their brekafast items I'd say are better than their lunch ones in general. Good omelettes, Chile verdes, cinnamon rolls, French toast. It's a MUST VISIT if you're stopping by Camarillo. Seriously. Whatever you do, do not order the hashbrowns with your breakfast! They were 2 frozen Patty's, and the inside was not cooked and FULL of oil. It was like an old cooking oil soaked sponge! The omelet was pretty good, and the staff was nice. read more

I'm so disappointed since the charge in personnel this place has really going down hill. My family and I usually went 2-3 times per week became a regular. I went to Old Town Cafe for the first time 2 days ago with my parents. Marc was our waiter & he was so nice, quick on his feet and made sure we were taken care of! He checked up on us & made sure our drinks were filled! They enforce COVID-19 guidelines and exceeded expectations. They clean in between customers and sanitize everything. The food was amazing. It was so amazing that I had to come back the next morning with my friends!! Candace and Marc were there and were so welcoming. I ordered 8 breakfast burritos. All the burritos came out very quick & they even labeled which burrito was which! Mark also gave me peach mimosa on the house because it was my 21st birthday! I'm happy to see the numerous places to eat and storefronts opening up in "Old Town/Downtown Camarillo". My 805th review, those local will get this hint. Old Town Cafe is housed in the same building as the Bella Capri Inn and Suites. It is a small and cozy restaurant that probably seats 20 max inside and about 15 or so outside on the patio. Parking is a bit tricky, but street can be found if you're patient. I ordered the Baja Style Eggs Benedict with their hashcake as my side. The Eggs Benedict was nicely seasoned, you know the spice is there, but wasn't intrusive. The hashcake was actually pretty good, but for some reason I had hoped it was crispier. Service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. I am more than ready to come back and try other items on the menu. read more

Hands Down! Best Pancakes I ever had in my entire life! They fluffiest softest Pancakes ever. The Omellette is one of th best and juiciest I ever had. The Vegetables on the Omellette tasted so fresh and Delicious. The egg tasted so fresh and delicious. The Lemonade tasted so fresh and delicious also. Great customer service fast and friendly. We ate here for the 1st time on a Monday morning, a holiday. It's a tiny little place; maybe 12 small tables inside. I can't imagine going on a weekend. Service - was great. Very nice girl helped us through the menu items, was attentive, very friendly. Food - was good. My omelet had fresh spinach and ham with cheese. I ate the whole thing. My friend said the bacon in her omelet had too much fat and she picked it all out. :( I tried their special hash cake. It was too dense and heavy for me. I only ate a couple of bites. Came here for brunch a few weeks ago while we were in town and the whole experience was amazing! The four of us had three dogs with us which they were able to accommodate on their patio with less than a 10 min wait. The mimosa selection was incredible - we got a mango, pomegranate, blackberry and regular that we just passed around the table. The food also came out very quick and was to die for! It was hard enough to pick from their wide selection of eggs Benedict alone. I got the chipotle aioli Benedict and i would eat that for breakfast everyday if I could! My friends pesto chorizo Benedict was a very close second! Options galore at Old Town Cafe. To top it off, they do free refills for their coffee and let me take one to go!! The manager, Kay, had a horrible attitude. We brought in a party of 11 people. Good business, right? You would think so, but the manager complained that we took up too many tables and because of that, she had to turn other customers away!! The waitress was nice, but they refused to split our bill and said "we have a calculator so that you can do it" (ok, fair enough, then they did split 4 of us separate). My husband didn't get his food until every else had finished eating. We had asked for it several times, but finally they said "what did you order again?". Afterwards, the 4 of us never got our bill so we finally asked for it, then sat the chatting. After 20 mins or so, Kay rudely stated "you guys have to take this outside!" (apparently she wanted to open up the tables), so we told her that we were waiting on the bill. She still made us go outside and said she'd bring it to us (in hindsight we should have just left). When she came out with the bill, she had added a 20% large-party tip (for only 4 people!). When we asked for it to be removed she said it was because we had a party of 11. Then we explained to her how rude she had been to our group and as a manager, should have handled it a better way. Again, the food was good but the service was horrible, which is a huge part of the going- out-to- eat experience. We will not be back. There are plenty of other great and beautiful places to eat in this area. read more

This was such an amazing last minute find! Our server Ben was so high energy and welcoming, we couldn't help but be happy that he rearranged furniture for us to be seated. The food was awesome. I spent many days of my college career coming here between classes to get the avocado toast with a poached egg and a latte. They make their own seasoning to put on top of the avocado toast which they should really consider bottling and selling. The food is fairly simple breakfast items so don't expect a full blown luxurious brunch outing here. This has become our GO-TO spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The menu is so extensive and the chefs make it YOUR way, whatever you like. I am nuts for their omelettes, especially "The Californian" with bacon, tomato, cheese and avocado. Loaded with crisp bacon, and the tomatoes are those yummy roasted tiny tomatoes...yummmm. The service is great. A bit crowded on weekends, but we have never waited more than 20 minutes. And the pancakes and French toast! I order "The Californian" with one pancake instead of toast. Never disappoints.As far as ambiance, it is Old Town Camarillo ambiance--not fancy; just fabulous food! And drink! read more

Stumbled across this place after having coffee down the street. the waitress Kristy was setting out the planters and greeted us with a big smile. My GF & I decided to try it out. We shared the California Scramble. the portion was huge, they split it for us at no cost, but looked like two orders. along with Diet Coke, price was 11ish. Very affordable. our meal was flavorful @ the potatoes were spicy. we went on a Friday around 8. only one other person, but either a regular or someone stating at the B&B (really a motor inn) next store. Very good value and consistent quality for takeout. Ive never dined in but the buttermilk pancakes are flavorful and fluffy, the bacon crispy and the eggs always cooked right every single time . They don't forget to include the butter and syrup either . The breakfast combo for $12 is a steal. I always wondered why no place in Camarillo can consistently make an over medium egg (means the whites are cooked!!!) until I tried Old Town Cafe. My girlfriend and I were in town for a friend's wedding and we found this place during our morning walk. It was in the heart of old town Camarillo and looked inviting so we stopped in. We were greeted right away and being that it was a Friday morning, it was pretty empty. In fact old town seemed like a sleepy community at 9am. Any way, The waitresses were upbeat and polite and the menu looked promising. My girlfriend saw chicken and waffles on menu, being fans of Roscoes chicken and waffles, she ordered that and I had corned beef hash. The hash cake on the menu Sounded good so we ordered that too. The food was good, I was expecting the corned beef hash to be canned corned beef and minced potatoes like some of these other places but surprisingly was real corned beef with perfectly seasoned potatoes. The chicken and waffles were good, not quite the same as roscoes but it had that home style flavor to it. The hash cake was awesome with a great flavor profile. The have the worst chicken and waffles I have ever tasted. The chicken taste like unseasoned re-cooked senior citizen food. I do not even think it's real chicken and if it is do you guys need me to come over and teach you guys how to cook it. Very nice lunch spot! We ate on the patio and enjoyed people watching during the Fiesta festival. I had patty melt and onion rings; would have preferred rye bread but the burger was cooked perfectly and onion rings were good. Husband had pastrami burger and fries; he seemed to like it okay. Waitresses were right on top of things including refilling the sodas. Next time, I'm going to try Ari's specialty "Bad Boy sandwich that probably has 2500 calories. We almost didn't come thinking it would be too busy. Maybe we were just lucky but at 12:30 it was fine. Try this place; you won't be disappointed. read more
