Very cute country feel Waffle House! The food is good and provided great service for a party of 12! Will definitely return.

This place is VERY nice. I had the Chocolate Chip Waffles with Hash Brown, and they were delicious. The service was wonderful, and our waiter was very kind and polite. The interior is nice and clean, and well decorated. DEFINITELY recommend :)

    Great signage out front.

Another lovely experience here! Our family enjoyed both breakfast and lunch items on this visit. We were seated right away at a booth of our choosing. Our drinks were delivered & refilled in timely manners. Our orders were all correct and tasted awesome! Kid's nuggets & pancakes, eggs, and ham were just home runs for the family! I can't say enough about the super cool Belgian Waffle with peanut butter and banana. Always such good times! In all truth, I get the whipped cream on the side so my daughter feels uber special with her massive solo bowl of sweetness to enjoy! Gotta share the love, right? Besides to-go containers for food, also got drink to-go containers for coffee and chocolate milk- nice touch! I enjoy coming here because everyone cares about the customers, the decor is so chill and kinda vintage western cute, the food is pure comfort & goodness, and everyone leaves satisfied & happy! Yay!!! Another yummy, great visit!

We came here last weekend and it was so good we came back this weekend too!! Been going here for years anything I've ordered has always hit the spot! Love the 'old town' feel of the restaurant and the friendly service too!

Great little place with fast friendly service. Whether there's a waiting list or not, they seat you right away. Basic menu with good food, senior options and the best lemonade in town. Try the strawberry lemonade. It's worth the hype.

Hope you aren't hungry because you should expect a wait for a table and even longer for food to arrive at your table. It's definitely a family sit down restaurant where you can dine and catch up in life as it makes take at least 20+ mins for food to be served. On a weekend, we waited for over 45 mins for the food to arrive for two people. The portions are huge but I would not say it's anything worth waiting that long for if you are hungry.

    Ham & Eggs special

This place has become my go to breakfast spot! You can't beat the ham & egg special for that price. I usually come here early mornings when they open at 6. The staff is very friendly and on top of their jobs. I sit at the bar and it's comfortable with spacious seating. They cook their eggs to perfect temp, their shredded hash browns are great, and the ham is cooked perfectly. The coffees always hot and the staff does a great job checking in. Thank you for your service!

The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! We had a very large party of 25 on a very busy Sunday morning and the two servers assigned to our tables made it look easy. They took orders quickly, delivered all meals within a few minutes of each other, and checked back regularly. We highly recommend Old Town Waffles!!!

    Veggie Eggs Benedict

This place has a busy hometown diner vibe with pretty quick service and decent food. There is a small waiting area that fills quickly but there are benches outside to wait on as well. The hostess was quick on her feet with seating tables and greeting customers. Once we were sat, our waitress moved very quickly in taking drink orders and food orders. You can tell that turning over tables quickly is the goal. She wanted to take out food orders when we had been at the tables less than 5 minutes. Although the service is quick, it lacks in warmth and friendliness. But again, maybe to be expected in this setting. I ordered the veggie egg Benedict. I appreciated the portion size and that the bowl of fruit came with a good variety of fruits, not just honeydew and cantaloupe as is the case in other restaurants. The holladaise sauce was just ok, not too flavorful and the eggs were not hot when they were served. The hashbrowns were good--seasoned and crispy. I paid $20 with tip for my dish which is pretty standard. Overall it was ok but nothing I would rush back to.

Watermelon juice. A must order if you like watermelon!
    Sarah C.

The waffles were tasty, so I loved those! The syrup was watery and almost sugar water. One friend knew this ahead of time and brought her own syrup. I wish I knew to do this! The scrambled eggs were super light and cooked perfectly! The best thing ever though, the watermelon juice. Oh my goodness! It was like drinking a perfectly ripe watermelon! The price for breakfast was very high for one person. I'll share a photo of the receipt! Our waitress was prompt, as was the food delivery. The restaurant was packed, therefore quite loud. When some large groups left, it was much easier to talk and hear my friends. Definitely a gathering spot for friends and family.

They didn't make them, refrigerate them, plate them, or serve them. Apparently the cupcakes were just undocumented pastries crossing the Colton's border. It's not the $10 folks, it's the nickel-and-diming. Ranch? 50¢. Reservation? There's a fee. Birthday cupcakes after dropping $450? Another $10. What else is on the secret menu? Extra napkin, 75¢? Another lemon in my tea--do I need financing? Second straw--hard credit pull? We've enjoyed Colton's food, but we'll be taking a break due to their nickel and diming policies. There are too many good restaurants around town that value their customers to spend $450 and still get shaken down for cupcake money and ranch fees!!

The Local has a ton of potential. My family and I were excited to try a new restaurant in Clovis ,…read moreand ran across positive reviews of this place. We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The Local gets the job done if you need a quick bite during the work day. I tried the BBQ Bleu Burger, which comes loaded with bleu cheese crumbles, BBQ sauce, bacon jam, fried onions, and the usual burger fixings. The burger itself was generously sized, but the patty was underseasoned, and the dominant flavors were mainly the bleu cheese and BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and felt it lacked flavor. Our kids split the mac & cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich, but neither was a hit. Even the grilled cheese went mostly untouched, by my kids which was unexpected. On the plus side, the outdoor patio is cozy and looks like a great spot for fall dining with a drink in hand. They also offer brunch, though it's available by reservation only.

We also had the sweetest hostess, I believe her name was Sarah. She was so kind and welcoming, so if you get the chance, definitely ask for her! The deviled eggs and French toast were so stinking good. I also ordered a side of the braised short rib with mashed potatoes. It wasn't my favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. I was there with a small group of friends, and the service was excellent. Our food came out quickly, everything was organized, and we never felt rushed. The events take up the main dining room which leaves regular guests in a small side dining room or outdoors. It was way too hot to sit outside so we opted for a high top table in the small side room. The food was again, great! The buffalo wings were crispy and had a generous about of sauce. The fried zucchini coins were served with a tasty aioli. My roast beef dip sandwich was served on a soft roll and they did not skimp on the meat. However, as I experienced in my previous visit, service during their bingo events is just not good. Our server was so bubbly and friendly, no complaints there. But after the event started, she was gone for stretches of time. At the end of our meal, it was ultimately another server that asked if we needed boxes. I actually passed our server on my way to the restroom and saw her in the event space so I'm not sure if she had extra duties there. I feel like there should be servers that are specifically assigned to serve the regular customers during their events. If I happened to come by during another event, I would probably choose somewhere else to eat.
