We stopped in on our whirlwind tour of breweries in Ashville and were pleasantly surprised. For one thing, the large hanger had tons of seating and also they had a ping pong table that we had fun playing on when we were there. We got several beers, all of which were very good and the pricing was excellent. The service was great too and there is a pizza place right next door where you can get some food and have some more beers. I would recommend French Broad.

Was visiting and saw this cute little brewery while waiting for our dinner reservation. Very chill place for a drink and they have plenty of beer options. I got wine since I'm not a beer person. My friend said the beers were okay, but we loved the aesthetics. You seat yourself and there's also a pizza joint you could order food from. Decently priced drinks with a relaxing environment!

Great find in Biltmore Village. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The beer is top notch. I was greeted and told about a black lager that's not on the menu. Malty, light, and delicious! I ordered a 4 pour flight for $10. Pretty reasonable. The inside is spacious and includes large tables as well as small ones. There's a ping pong table and TVs for the sports fans.

Visiting Asheville and we wanted to stop at a brewery. We were happy to see this one was open during the day on a Tuesday. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the nice November weather, but the atmosphere from where we sat was okay; it's right in front of some train tracks and industrial looking complexes. I ordered a couple of the sour cherry ciders, and I liked these just fine. I usually opt for ciders when in breweries, and I was hoping they would have more cider options. My boyfriend ordered a mocha beer they had on special, the 13 Rebels ESB, and another Octoberfest one they had on special. He liked 13 Rebels best.

    Nice porter!

Found another hidden gem. Love the selection of breweries on the French Broad River. And they have food!!! Pizza!!

French Broad has become one of my favorite of the many breweries in the Asheville area. Here's why: 1) great weekly specials, 2) well priced 6-pks to go 3) chill tap room with plenty of space, 4) and welcoming staff. Overall, I really enjoy stopping here to read and enjoy a quick pour or two.

We were in town brewery hopping and noticed this place had a Groupon for flights and growlers. The beer was good but the service was terrible. The bartender acted like we were a nuisance for having a Groupon. There was no small talk or greeting from the bartender. Anytime she looked up at us to help she ended up going over to someone else. Definitely didn't feel welcome or feel like a valued customer from this place. No amount of discount will make up for poor service. Avoid this place and the Groupon they offer.

Near the host stand there's a shelf of swag that they offer, like stickers, hats, sweaters and t shirts which was pretty cool. Loved the vibe and set up as you walk in. There's high tops, bar seating, big old school leather booth and big doors that open to offer outdoor patio seating. There was a beautiful sunset that night as well. We didn't get seated right away and found out they were having issues with their ovens prior which affected timing and caused delays to service. Luckily but the time we got sat our server told us that everything was up and running! We started with a couple glasses of wine and got some nice sunset pictures and then made our way to our table. Ella was very nice and guided us through some of her favorite options and we rolled with a few of them. We tried the honey pot cocktail which was so cute and unique. Had a small dollop of a meringue on top that gave it some texture. Our starter was the house made Foccacia and whipped ricotta spread. This was delicious! I found that 2 pieces of bread was not enough to devour all of that creamy and decadent ricotta so we asked for more and she gave us a couple more pieces which was nice. After that was the oven roasted chicken wings with garlic and grilled lemon. I absolutely LOVED these! They were tender, flavorful and that grilled lemon was what sealed all the flavors together. We moved along to the pizzas and decided to try two different kinds. The Asheville and Fig & Prosciutto. Both had their own unique thing that made them tasty. I love a hot honey on a pizza and the combo of sweet and savory so these were great. My only feedback is that the crust was a bit too doughy and not as crispy as I'd hope but that could've just been because they were just getting their ovens up and running right before. However they tasted good and we still enjoyed them. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the food and service from Ella. Looking to sit outside next time!

I was satisfied with the pizza but it wasn't anything to really rave over. The salad was big - mostly chopped lettuce (love that it was chopped already) topped with some cheese, olives, green peppers and tomato slices. I don't eat my salads soaked in dressing so there was enough dressing for me but it felt like the dressing cup wasn't very full if you do like a wet salad. Breadsticks were good and airy. Lots of cheese on top. I preferred the pizza over the breadsticks over the 2 visits I had 3 types of slices. For speciality slices they top a slice of cheese with the toppings then bake it so the toppings aren't baked down into the cheese. Still good. When I lived here years ago, we used this spot as a quick bite when we were out brewery hopping or pre gaming for a show. Huge inside with plenty of seating and some games. The Roman squares are made of a thick dough that looks like focaccia but is both lighter and crispier. They come in single 5" by 7" rectangles (spuntino, $8-$10), 5" by 13" pies (mezzo, $15-$19), or 9" x 13" party size portions (tutto, $30-$38). While you can build your own custom pizza, the default options include a Calabrian with pepper jam, a funghi & charred tomato, a sfincione with breadcrumb topping, a patate with potato cream, and a rotating special. A few dips, an arugula salad, cauliflower cacio pepe, and meatballs are also available. Wanting a few slices to commemorate Pi Day, my wife and I shared a Calabrian, a funghi & charred tomato, and a daily special. Ordering was easy, and Terra Nova's "green industrial" vibe (check out that moss wall) made for interesting ambiance. Our pizza was not cheap, but it was very satisfying, and Mission uses high-quality ingredients. The Calabrian offered a good combination of sweet and spicy while the funghi & charred tomato delivered creamy (ricotta) and smoky. The crust was done perfectly: crisp without being overly charred. There are many places in Asheville where you can grab a pizza and a beer, but none can offer you the same experience that Mission does. Unless you're a New York-style pizza purist, you owe it to yourself to give Mission a try.

I am all about being eco friendly but the taste of the wooden fork ruined the taste of the meatball (not a fan of the popsicle stick type flavor when eating).
