Looks can be deceiving, after ordering the village fries, tomato mozzarella salad, and medium-rare lamb chops I was blown away. Finish it all of with some baklava and bask in the feeling. This used to be one of my favorite places, until our most recent visit which was later in the night & the food took about 45 mins, it was not very busy but that was not our main complaint...we had 9 of us and moved two tables next to each together, as we were finishing our food a staff member said we usually don't do that to the tables and said to make sure we put them back...I don't think it's that serious unless there aren't any tables available for anyone else and there were plenty. So I attended a lunch for a coworker whose wife was having a baby. First time here and last. First I ordered a Greek Salad with grilled chicken. 1) They were out of tomatoes. Okay...2) I asked the person at register if they had pepperoncini peppers they could add. He said that they didn't have any and proceeded to give me (or attempt to) a condescending toned lesson in Greek cuisine and that pepperoncini wasn't Greek. As far as the salad goes, it was basic. Went here for a light dinner and that's what we got. I really appreciate restaurants that dont overuse salt. The Greek salad was fresh, lamb chops were tasty, and the salmon was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The dipping sauces didn't take away from the dish. The restaurant is great for takeout and regulars were walking in happily to pick up their food. Their baklava wasn't too sweet and tasted delicious. Prices were great too! Delicious Mediterranean food. Authentic flavors, you can tell the food is prepared by a Chef from the region they are from. The Olive oil they used is high quality and you will taste it the moment you try a taboule salad, or their hummus. We ordered the lamb and falafel platter too The falafel platter was the vegan version, which I did not realized until later, but was so delicious that even my husband who is a meat lover said he will eat it again, It is priced well, also the music played while you eat transports you to some place you probably never been before, but trust me .. you will feel like you are somewhere else. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. This place has tasty food but the atmosphere and some of the staff are where Olea falls short of five stars. Parking: plenty of spots. Exterior: clean and easily maneuverable parking lot Interior: the inside of the store is visually appealing but the the restaurant blares Greek music the entire time making it difficult to have a conversation. Another issue was the state of the tables. A few of the tables had food crumbs and not clean. My wife and went in and ordered a gyro, chicken shawarma wrap, dolmades, and three S.Pellegrino cans. The total cost was $37. When we went to the counter, there was a male teenager (17-19) working the counter and in a full-fledged argument with the cook (30 something). It was incredibly unprofessional and awkward. It's a shame that happened along with the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant because the food was quite good. I especially enjoyed my lamb gyro. I would not recommend this place for dining in. I recommend ordering through grub hub or take out and enjoy elsewhere because their food is tasty. If they hired a more professional employee and turned the music down this restaurant could be great. The food is great. I don't know how they do it but their chicken is always cooked perfectly and their rice is phenomenal! Get anything chicken - you can't go wrong. There is a cauliflower appetizer that's good. If you are on a Keto diet this would be a good dish. It's basically fried cauliflower (no breading). They have 2 lunch specials to choose from: gyro meal $9 comes with fries and drink or specialty plate $10 comes with salad and rice. The service however is kind slow. The fountain drinks are self serve. My husband ordered a beer and her waited 15+ mins before he got it. Several tables had dirty dishes still on them. AMAZING, Our new favorite place. Thursday evening, 6ish PM, party of two. You order at the counter and it's brought to your table later. Friendly staff, lovely menu to choose from. We ordered 2 small Greek Salads w/ Shaved Gyro Meat. We each received a lovely platter with freshly made salad with shaved gyro meat. It was perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients and had a side of flavorful tzatziki sauce. The staff is kind and helpful, the restaurant is clean, they have beer and wine available, music is enjoyable, did I mention it's clean? Then we decided to get the baklava for dessert...OMG so good. Possible the best we've ever had. Will have to order again in future for further analysis! ;) We're new to Fayetteville and this is definitely one of our new favorite spots. This spot has been on my radar for a while! I love Mediterranean food. I'm on a clean diet type of living right now (it sucks !) but today was my sort of cheat day, I chose Olea because the ingredients was fresh and looked good. I kept it simple and ordered a Lamb Gyro w/ salad and extra puta bread. The lamb gyro just looked like it was thrown together, didn't even come with black olives. I was pretty disappointed with that but what was worse was the salad. It's a Greek salad and believe me it looks amazing but you can just taste oil and heavy oregano in the salad. I couldn't even finish it, I was not satisfied at all with this place and will not be returning. I would recommend trying a different mediterranean/Greek spot instead of this one. read more

Came here for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered their hummus supreme with lamb gyro meat (that came with pita bread) and their village salad (tomato, cucumber, feta with red onions and olive oil). What's Hot - Quality. My food was pretty good. The hummus was nicely seasoned and not too salty. I ordered the lamb gyro meat with it and it was tender, moist, and warm. My salad was not too small and had plenty of feta cheese, which added to the flavor. The pita bread that came with my hummus supreme was soft and warm. The veggies for their salad are fresh and crunchy. Not soft and wilted. Good attention to detail. - Menu variety. There is plain hummus, hummus with add-ons, grape leaves, moussaka, a kids menu, etc... Their menu has meat options, vegetarian options, and gluten free. It's cool that they cater to different dietary options. Some of their menu options, such as moussaka and stuffed grape leaves, are not commonly found in the Fayetteville area. - Portions. The portions for my dishes was pretty good. Keep in mind, I ordered a small village salad. Some of their dishes have 2 different sizes. Of course, the larger dishes cost a bit extra. - Layout. There's a decent drinks and wine section. It's not a bar, but there is a small section by the cash register with bottled drinks and wine. The interior seating area isn't huge, but it's not bad. Around 15 tables or less? A few of their booths have pretty large tables, which helps if your party orders a decent amount of food. - Nice wait staff. Their wait staff are friendly and helpful. Their wait staff are good about checking in on the tables to clear it off and clean. But remember everything else is self serve. - Price. The total for my 2 dishes was about $15. Decent for the type of dishes and the portions. You pay for what you get. What's Not - Self serve. You wait in line to order, they give you a number, and they bring you the food once it's ready. I'm not opposed to self serve. I only bring this up, because there can be a decent line to order your food. My friend and I waited around 10-15 minutes to order, and then there were several customers behind us. Some customers behind us had children. My point? Be aware that there can be a decent wait time to order your food. If you're going with a group or children, plan ahead of time, especially if you guys plan on eating in and getting a table. - Not everything on the menu is available. I went for a Saturday lunch and wanted to order the moussaka. They told me they didn't have it. Bummer. Dudes, it's a Saturday. Shouldn't you be prepared? Final Answer Definitely willing to come here again, but I advise you plan to arrive a little before the rush. read more

We're in town for a bit and decided to search for Mediterranean cuisine. We had just left Zoe's down the street, frustrated that it had sub par customer service. Anyway, we left immediately and went to olea. For starters, a completely different from Zoe's. Yes both are Mediterranean. Zoe's is a chain. Olea is authentic. Almost as if they new we had just had a sub par experience 5 minutes prior to coming in, olea has amazing customer service. We were greeted. The tattooed gentleman was quite a delight. Friendly, helpful, personable. We really enjoyed our experience even as a order and take out. The entire was very efficient, professional, sincere and beyond helpful. Anyway, the food. Amazing. I wished they had the garlic butter that I've had at other places. But regardless the food was quite tasty and didn't disappoint. We will be spending more of our money here while in Fayetteville.
