The earlier in the day I suspect the fresher the product. International selection and more traditional items familiar to those of US. Many greens today, different squares, several varieties of mango, ginger and galangal, mushrooms, apples, melons, fresh water chestnuts & tomatoes....there was conch and crab also available today, along with some housewares. Toward the middle of the store are a few aisles of jarred, canned, dried goods, teas and coffee sachets, condiments and spices. Towards the south side of the store is a butcher counter, more prepared chilled foods, salads, wraps, chilled bottled drinks, followed by the fresh produce area. At the front of the store are a few registers you check out. They keep the store very clean and tidy, the shelves are well-stocked. Staff are friendly and on point. The food selections are good quality and you also pay a premium since it's UES after all.

Apparently it's Lower Manhattan's only food cooperative. To be a working member it's a $48 annual fee, and they work a few hours a week. Included are discounts on items. Those not working can pay a $60 annual fee to get discounts on things. For sure there's a lot of healthy stuff in here. It's also good to buy local. The store has tons of environmentally safe products as well as things for vegans and vegetarians.
