Love this place so much. Their food is just amazing!! You have to try their fattoosh salad and the olive & grill trio. You won't be disappointed! Their ambiance is great as well. I'd recommend going around 9 so you can get a table. It gets super crowded around 10 and wait time is longer. Their staff is super nice and very attentive. They have great music and belly dancers. I've been here for dinner twice and was happy with everything. I recently went for lunch and it was disappointing. For some odd reason they served flour tortillas instead of the advertised pita bread. The meat portions were tiny compared to the price. They also charged $3 for a super small portion of what tasted like hidden valley ranch. Also the red sauce that came with the beef plate tasted awful. read more

The food was extremely gross. I would not recommend to anyone, even someone starving. They also charge multiple fees on the bill for employee costs. It's wildly unethical to not pay your workers and expect customers to do so. There was no prior notice of all these fees. read more

After having dinner with my friends, we went to Olive and Grill for some hookah and drinks. We got there at around 11:20 pm, ordered our hookah and drinks, and got them about 10-15 minutes later. But just before 12 am, they cleared our table and took away the hookah, even grabbing the hose from my hand. I've never seen such unprofessional behavior before. When you close at 12, it should mean not letting in new guests, not kicking out people who just sat down for 30 minutes. We used to go to Olive and Grill a lot, but now I won't be going back. That's not how you should run a restaurant. As a hookah lounge everyone should understand when you order hookah you expect to be there for at least about hour, if you can't allow your guests to enjoy their drinks and hookah for an hour maybe you should stop serving hookah at some point before closing. Although clearly they only care about $ and now the customer experience. read more

The only nice thing about this business is the outdoor area with large tables. On Father's Day it wasn't very busy and I could still see open tables The luleh kebab is disgusting don't waste you money on it. Tasted like everything but kebab. The wait time for food is a waist of life. The size of the kitchen is same as a residential kitchen. It can't handle the business. Extremely slow. For the cost of food I expect faster service and better food. Non of the kebabs were marinated right. Done with that. Can get better food for that cost and faster service. read more

The ambiance, decor, atmosphere were easily 5 beautiful space! The food was good! We enjoyed our meal very much. The table was small (we were a party of 6 on 3 small tables combined). We were crammed and had a hard time making the shareable plates fit. The staff was nice and friendly but seemed overwhelmed by the work load, which made each trip to our table a bit rushed. The hookah was way overpriced. $50 each for 2 hookahs. The hose was incredibly cheap and flimsy, which is not okay when we're paying a premium price. We didn't enjoy the hookah. Overall we had a good experience and will consider returning. When paying such a high price, the little details matter (like making sure water is always filled, offering more drinks when we are out and the quality of hookah) read more

My meal was very disappointing. I opted for take-out instead of dining in. The lula kabob was a dry and didn't pop with flavor. Also the meal came with rice, the kabob and a half of pitta. Which again was very disappointing. Normally most restaurants complete the meal with a small salad and 2-3. However that was not the case with this particular meal. What a nice place...if you can find it. Olive & Grill is a Mediterranean style restaurant / hookah place, that is hip, clean, and inviting. While I didn't hookah, I can say that the food and service were great! If you're a hummus person, or you know how to spell babaganoush, you're in business at Olive & Grill. As for the service... (sorry, I didn't catch your name), the very attractive brunette server couldn't have been nicer! For example, when her salad arrived, my sister realized she forgot to order 'dressing on the side'. No problem at Olive & Grill...our fantastic server brought a fresh salad along with a smile. I tried the chicken breast kabob and the beef kabob and both were excellent, though a little more meat would have brought this review up to 5 stars. I'm usually not a fan of rice, but for some reason, I couldn't stop eating Olive & Grill's! Even the grilled tomato on the side was something special. As other Yelp-ers have mentioned, this place is a bit hard to find as they have just a small sign in front and are located BEHIND the large facade of Shanghai Rose restaurant with a hard-to-spot side entrance. Came here for lunch. 1 waitress who was very nice and attentive and it appeared only 1 cook. Took 45 min to get my order which was 1 chicken kabob plate (chicken kabob n rice). It came with a pita, but no hummus or side salad. It took so long had to get it to go. For $22 I would expect it to be better or at least on par with the "fast-food" quickie Mediterranean restaurants. We've wanted to try this place for a while. At first walk in it seemed a lot smaller than expected. In the pictures it looks way bigger than it is. We were seated and ordered. The food was great. The mantee is the best I've ever had! We enjoyed dinner and as we were leaving around 8pm is when the live music started. It was a nice addition, but we were leaving already. The prices are high for the size of the plates.. $22 for a very very small plate of mantee (but it was delicious). Overall it was an ok experience. read more

My new go to spot! Tasty Mediterranean food, cute hookah spot, great place for groups, private parties, and dates. We started off with a few appetizers- cheese bourek, the trio dip, fatush salad, mixed salad, and rice. Everything was delicious! I work down the street from this place and decided to order a fatoush salad for lunch. First of all when I called to order the girl over the phone said "that it?" In a condescending way I said yes. Walked over on my 30 min lunch break to pick it up. My credit card wasn't working she said they have a problem with their internet if I could bring cash. So I ran all the way back to work got my debit card walked over to Wells Fargo took out a $20 bill to pay.. get this this the girl sAid sorry we don't have change.. why the f**k would you tell me to bring cash if you don't have change. At this point I have like 10 min left on my lunch break from running back and forth. She finally called someone from the restaurant upstairs to bring change. I run back to work open my salad .. behold it's more like a soup not a salad.. drenchhhhhhed in vinegar so soggy and gross I threw it away. I'm Armenian and I've had millions of fatoush salads. I am incredibly conflicted in writing this review because the food was 4 stars, the place was 4 stars, but the service was absolutely horrendous. I'd like to add a disclaimer: my friend had been here before and she said the service was fine, so perhaps it was just last night. Additionally, we were all kind of laughing about it at one point so it certainly didn't make or break my meal and I do plan on returning. However, I want to give an honest review of my experience. The place itself is very cute. The seating is basically in this huge patio area with twinkle lights, heaters, and a fireplace. We valeted, but I believe there is also a structure to park in. The food was the most redeeming quality. We had the Fattoush Salad and Eech (spelled Itch on their menu which was interesting). I loved them both! Eech in particular is one of my favorites so I was glad they executed it well. We decided to split a chicken and a beef lula wrap. They come with a side of your choice and we chose crinkle cut fries. Everything was really, really good and I will definitely go back to try their plates. I'm not even a huge fan of wraps normally but everything worked so well in these. I especially loved the house-made hummus in the wraps. They have Coke in glass bottles, another favorite of mine, so I was pretty happy with our selections. For dessert, we had black tea and napoleon. Both really good again! The service like I said was the biggest let down. It took at least an hour for us to get our drinks. They lost our ticket so it took probably an hour for us to get our food. The wraps came out without the fries (they came after we ate half the wraps). The teapots were all in use so we had to wait for tea. Charging our cards for the meal probably took another 30 minutes. In total, we were there for three hours which isn't a lot of time but it was filled with tons of waiting around and realistically we could've left an hour or two after arrival if the service was good. The waiter was charming and we felt bad for him when it was busy, but at the end of the night there were barely any customers and the service was the same. That's really what solidified the three stars. Again, I still want to come back here. I think I am someone with a lot of patience, so if you're like me and have a few hours to spare on dinner, I would recommend this place. The gratuity is already included which was a plus. I think all they need to do if hire a few more employees and they'd be golden! read more

Interesting place! Olive & Grill has a great atmosphere and very tasty hummus. We didn't explore the menu to much bc I was there on a date and we didn't plan on staying for too long. We did however enjoy the hummus and were looking forward to enjoying a drink together as well but to our surprise there is no alcohol served at this restaurant. I'm not entirely sure why but I was unaware of this before booking my reservation so here is a friendly heads up to anyone that plans on ordering alcohol with your food! Aside from that surprise, this would be a great spot for a date/meeting being that the atmosphere is very conversational yet private. read more

I stopped in here after reading on Facebook that a friend of mine from West Hollywood and loved it. The funny thing is it's only 5 minutes from my house but I had never even noticed the place. We ordered the combo plate with chicken kabob and chicken shawarma. We had a Greek salad and we ordered fries. Everything was delicious other than the fact that the rice tasted like burnt hot dogs. You're probably wondering why I'm giving them a four-star rating considering the burnt hot dog tasting rice! I am because everything else was so good. And because I ordered french fries I honestly didn't have to care about the rice. I had a baklava for dessert. Hands down it was the best baklava I ever had. The drinks were delicious and they played really nice chill music. Definitely will be going back. read more
