Redo Review Had been a few years since I have been to the Olive Garden. I had a balance left on a gift card and decided to give them another chance. So glad I did. We went for an evening meal. We were seated right away. Our waiter Rick M was what I call a "Perfect Server." He made the experience. He got our drinks and brought out the bread sticks right away. We ordered the promo " Neverending Pasta Bowl" and we chose soup, specifically I ordered Zuppa Toscana and my friend got Chicken Gnocchi . My Zuppa was the best I ever had and my friend raved about the Gnocchi. I got the Rigatoni with spicy sauce and sausage. It was a huge portion delicious and spicy. My friend got Spaghetti with Spicy sauce. There was enough left to take home and eat for two more meals and that was just one bowl! Rick was attentive without being overbearing. He was very familiar with the menu and seemed to know the right time for water refills etc. . He was busy with other tables but he was calm and very professional. He made it look so easy. If you haven't been to the Augusta Olive Garden recently give them another try. You won't be disappointed. read more

In fact, the portions are large and the salad and breadsticks are unlimited. But, it's not great food. The pasta is over cooked, in bulk, leaving it mushy. Food served cold on hot plates . Even after sending it back things were still cold. Soup lukewarm meatballs cold center pasta and sauce cold. We arrived at the very opening time good service felt bad for the servers as they tried to make things right. My eggplant was very hot but the pasta and sauce were cold on the plate. Don't bother with takeout orders. I placed an order a little after 5 and it was supposed to be ready at 5:36, spoiler alert.... It wasn't. I checked in about 5:30 then waited, and waited and waited, 45 minutes later the guy strolled out and said here you go. Order was missing Silverware and a salad. Terrible food soup salad and bread sticks all you can eat . The salad is iceberg lettuce the Italian dressing tasted terrible, the bread sticks not even sure what to say and the soups choices wow. I guess if you have 4-5 people and are starving this might be an option but honestly i am not even sure if they would want another round of this food . Also lunch specials so small only think you get a lot of is the pasta , lemonade drinks 3.79 each for fresh squeezed that was way to sweet and not good . The management reached out and all they could say was we are so sorry about this please come back and try us again. Service once seated is almost always prompt and very good. Servers are friendly and neatly-attired and clean. The restaurant itself is always clean, and never feel crowded. Food is always hot and delicious. I think it was a great idea to start allowing free refills on the alfredo sauce for the bread sticks. The only thing I would want different is I think they should have a smaller portion size on the dinner menu added on at least some items for those who cannot eat as much. I'm always a fan of the food at Olive Garden; especially the salad bowls! I haven't ever had a bad thing on the menu and really enjoy their Alfredo sauce. On this particular visit in Augusta, it's worth noting how spectacular our service was. Our server was pleasant, friendly, inviting, and engaging. I felt that she went out of her way often to make sure to always be on top of our needs, despite the busy restaurant. The space is large and clean. The past two takeout orders they've forgotten silverware, napkins, and cheese for my pasta. I always make sure to remind them of fresh breadsticks after a few times of getting older stale ones. With my experience typically no more than a 30-minute wait for pickup after ordering. When we've gone inside for sit-down meals, the servers are usually welcoming and friendly. They kindly split the bowl for us even though we didn't necessarily want that. I tried to mix my bowl of fettuccine and it was so dry that the noodles wouldn't move. It was seriously missing sauce. The chicken was also well overcooked, that rubber type thing everyone hates. My daughter had meatballs and spaghetti. Again, it lacked sauce in a big bad way. The meatballs were also very overcooked. Never go wrong having a meal here with friends and family. Authentic Italian cuisine. My choice is usually the Tour of Italy--lasagna, fettuccine and chicken parmigiana. The salad is always fresh and cold. My husband prefers the sausage soup over the salad and , of course, those breadsticks! Yum! We didn't know that the soup was endless just like the salad. I hate having to post bad reviews but as you can see by the photo this was a must. I had to take a picture to see just how pink and slimy the lettuce was because the restaurant is a little dim. YUCK!!!! I also received a dirty plate and utensils. It took the waitress 20+ minutes to get our beverages and she forgot multiple things we ordered. When I showed her the photo I took of the salad she acted embarrassed but she didn't say anything about it. Apologized very quietly and took the bowl of pink lettuce away. When she returned to the table she had a little bit of an attitude which just made the experience worse. I shouldn't feel bad for pointing out a health risk. This is my local Olive Garden. I frequent this restaurant on a fairly regular basis. Lunch is my preferred as I work and need to be in and out. The waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. You can tell the customer comes first. The restaurant itself will make you feel like you are dining in an italian villa, it's clean, colorful, very comfortable, there are even a few tables I would classify as "cozy". The food tastes fresh, arrives hot, I have never had a bad meal. I'm in love with the new risotto balls. They are crunchy, melty gooey balls from heaven. Portions are generous I always leave with leftovers. The pairing of the wine with the food is perfect. I don't drink mixed drinks so I can't speak to that. It's always a delight to dine here. read more

Three of us went to this Olive Garden on 01/27/2022, for lunch. We had a wonderful waiter. I believe his name was Jeff. He was awesome! He came back to our table, several times, to make sure we had all we needed or if we needed anything extra. The food was wonderful. We got our bill, which was around $85.00. I tipped him $30.00. He was shocked by the tip and asked me if I wanted change back. I told him that wouldn't be necessary and I told him he was wonderful and deserved the tip. We had a short conversation about how it can be challenging to deal with the public. I fully understand, because I had a job for 32 years where I dealt with people and there were times it was hard to keep a smile on my face, and not tell mean, entitled people off. My waitress, Amanda, was rude. My girlfriend asked for a kids Alfredo, not for it to be cheaper, but because she knows she can't eat an adult Alfredo and didn't want to waste all that food.
