I have been kind of under house arrest. I had surgery and can't be too active. I went to the surgeon today, got a good report, and thought, hey, we are close to the OG. I ordered the bucatini with spicy three-meat sauce (a blend of pepperoni, beef, and Italian sausage in a rich tomato sauce, with a spicy kick from cherry peppers. It also includes chili flakes, red bell peppers, red wine, garlic, herbs, and meatballs. Of course, you get the breadsticks and the never-ending salad. The salads are always fresh and always good. My bucatini has me in a stupor. It was so good and so filling. When I started with Yelp 17 years ago, it was frowned upon to write a franchise review and give it five stars. I am now at the point where some of these places are just better than the locals could ever hope to be. Tonight, my dish arrived with pasta, meatballs, and a spicy meat sauce. I did not get the usual water on the plate from not draining the noodles, and the sauce was not a runny mess, but a complex, solid sauce. The food at Olive Garden is always good, and the service generally friendly, warm and attentive. My only complaint- which is the reason for 4 stars- is their sneaky practice (unless you read. The fine print) of giving tip suggestions on the after tax total. The universal standard is tip should be calculated on the pre-tax amount as you tip on government taxes. Disclaimed or not it's not appropriate and a sneaky way to get more money. read more

Me and a group of friends came in and sat down, we looked at the menu and decided we weren't hungry enough for anything they were offering. We asked the waiter if we would be able to come back later when we're actually hungry and he said there's no problem at all with that. They hadn't even brought out the breadsticks yet, we only had the menus and water at the table, hadn't ordered a thing. Later in the day we come back ready to eat this time and they immediately kicked us out stating "we're not doing this again" & "we had menus out and everything". Not sure why they had a problem with us. We had asked kindly if it was ok to leave and come back later, if they had said no, we would have ordered. SIMPLE. This place is located at the Coconut Point Shopping Center and very spacious inside with lots of parking outside. They have WiFi and a kids Menu along with various specials that change month to month. The restaurant is great for small and large groups and has a casual atmosphere to it. When we came it didn't take long before being seated. My wife ordered the Unlimited Soup & Salad while I had the Tour of Italy dish. Our server, Catherine quickly greeted us and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She gave some quick suggestions and we ordered. The salad and pasta fagioli as usual, amazing! I enjoyed my dish and ended up substituting the fettuccine Alfredo for the eggplant Parmesan. It all came out hot and the Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan were perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. Catherine did a great job making sure to frequent often and we couldn't have been more pleased with the service. Overall great experience and the food quality was very good at this location. Started out with a margarita and several martinis. Female bartender was very friendly. Margarita was delicious and in a nice, big glass. First martini was ordered very dry, but tasted strongly of vermouth. Next martini was ordered with no vermouth and was great. I had to leave 3 stars because the martini did not fill up the glass and was finished after 3 or 4 sips. The price was fair, $7.50, but for $6.00, I could go across the street to the British Open Pub and get a huge martini filled to the brim. We sat at the bar, and although understandably a family restaurant, it would be nice if the bar and lounge area were free of screaming children. After the cocktails, we enjoyed the house made salad with Olive Garden's own lite dressing. Always great. Warm breadsticks. I ordered the shrimp scampi and ended up getting most of it to go because the salad was so filling. With the purchase of an entree, you have the option of choosing a $5 entree to go- which is a nice perk. read more

Last evening was my nephews high school graduation.It was Sunday late evening and Olive Garden ( Coconut Pointe) was the only restaurant open In the area.So we called at 9 pm to make a reservation for 8 people. We arrived to several large graduation parties piling in at the same time. The manager and the staff handled us all gracefully and timely. We were well taken care of by our server , the food was delicious and we did not feel rushed at all. Two years ago I swore never to set foot in a olive garden again. Sadly I had to break that promise because of family. I want to start positive with a shoutout to our waiter Gabe who was very friendly and engaging. Which made the whole experience a little better. The salad that you get is good. But come on it is salad. What can go wrong. I ordered the zuppa toscano which is potato and spicy sausage. When it was served the plate on which it was served was dirty. They poored it in the bowl with little attention. The soup was little to strong on salt. And the layer of grease was interesting. All in all the taste was all right. Nothing special. The olive gardens interpretation of original lasagna is interesting. It was four layers of pasta with some dry ricotta cheese in the middle. No sauce no meat. The sauce was poured over the "lasagna". And consisted out of some bland tomato sauce with something that would have to go for sausage or such. How such a basic dish could be so badly done. My wife ordered the stuffed chicken marsala. It was hard to see what was the stuffed part about it and it was burned. It was on the dry side and no taste that popped out. Yet another very mediocre dish. Again I've never been a fan of olive garden. And I never will be. I definitely recommend everyone to go out and to eat at a local restaurant. read more

This is the worst restaurant in the county. I ordered Chicken Margarita and the chicken was awful. The chicken was not chicken breast as described on the menu. This was our third or fourth visit at this location and the service tonight was lacking at best. There was a 45 minute wait but the sad thing about it was we counted 30 open tables. The hostesses were apologetic and said there were not enough servers tonight. We were seated in the area by the bar and had decided we were only going to order soup and salad. Our server had only 3 tables but struggled to keep up. Never checking back in with us or refilling our drinks. Finally we asked the hostess for help and someone else came with a refill of salad. We had waited 20 minutes. I feel it's poorly managed and the employees are not properly trained. In the height of season and there are not enough employees? Btw, we never saw the manager in charge who should have been on the floor assisting and guiding the servers. We love Olive Garden but likely won't return to this location. read more

Disgusting. The appetizer was a solid 5..... the the pasta which I ordered the chicken Alfredo was terrible. The pasta was dry, the sauce was cold. Just nasty. My girlfriends meal was the chicken parmesan... and it came cold. Not even warm. Olive Garden has literally gone down the drain, the server was awesome. But the food is TERRIBLE. I haven't been to an Olive Garden in ages. We were out shopping nearby and decided to stop in for lunch. Our waitress, Carly, took our order of Arnold Palmers to start. Not the best Arnold Palmers, since they use raspberry tea, but we drank it anyways. We were thirsty. My wife opted for the unlimited soup (Zuppa Toscana) AND salad AND breadsticks deal while I ordered their Lasagna Classico with a side salad. I must say, the super hot and fresh breadsticks were freaking delicious! Who doesn't love fresh out of the oven buttery bread?? The house salad is pretty good. The pepperoncinis made a huge difference. Carly did a great job making the salad, making sure the salad wasn't overdressed. It was perfect. My lasagna was pretty tasty as well. The cheese was melted well, the sauce was meaty with a little bit of tart, and the lasagna noodles were cooked slightly al-dente. It was a well done lasagna. As a personal preference I may have wanted it put under the broiler a bit longer as I like my cheese a bit more toasty, but again, a well done lasagna. My wife had three big bowls of salad and also destroyed her soup, which was also very tasty from the one spoonful she allowed me to have. Carly was an awesome waitress and the staff is just super friendly. When thinking of going to lunch, I rarely considered Olive Garden, but which the experience here, I would most certainly go back. I'm a regular at this Olive Garden location, the staff know me which makes it feel more at home to me. they've never failed me before, their food hits the spot every time i stop by! i am kind of disappointed that the company took away the rewards system though. last week i checked my rewards before i left and remember i had a free desert. when i went back this past friday i was upset to hear they weren't using the rewards system anymore. i had asked my waitress if it were possible to use the free desert i had on my rewards, and they delivered! i really do love this olive garden location. there's really no other olive garden i'll settle for other than this one read more

The only good thing about this place is quantity not quality. The bread sticks had no flavor, just tasted like dough. The ravioli is very bland. I was excited to try the Alfredo, but the jar kind is just as good. Meat sauce has a weird aftertaste. The soup I normally get at other locations was very watery here. My husband drove from Bonita to estero to get us take out tonight. Upon arriving back home (45 minutes later) they had forgotten his chicken parm and messed up one of our kids pizzas and put my side of 'crisp' asparagus in with my mashed potatoes and rosemary chicken...now they are soaked asparagus. When my husband called to report this she said "oh yeah...that was me. Sorry. I noticed that your parm was left out after you left." Thankfully my husband just said to please re prepare the meals and he was on his way...again. They had his number why did she not call before he was 15 miles away?!? O dear. This otherwise pretty place at Coconut Point is showing some stress. Prices are increasing, which I do not begrudge. They are increasing at the local grocery, and the wholesalers are not getting any breaks either. But the scrimping and accommodating is showing on the plate. I ordered a newly created Special for lunch. Chicken Marsala, allegedly. The very small chicken breast was corded with gristle. It's pictured on the menu under a pile of mushrooms. I turned into a mad scientist, dissecting the assemblage. Under a viscous gravy and after the chicken were three meager slices of mushroom. Good thing my eyes are good. Could have missed them, along with the flecks of sun dried tomato. The cheese base was left on the warmer too long because it had acquired a dark skin. A surprise, for sure, because this was excavated under the rest of the mess. For the uninitiated like me, please know that are two bellinis on the menu. I asked for the one with Prosecco, which I still believe to be unequivocally sparkly wine,. Instead,I found myself staring at a tall water glass filled with ice tea, zapped with a fruity fake flavoring, and topped with a single slice of frozen peach. To Olive Garden's credit, It quickly and graciously replaced the southern syrup with the alcoholic version. Another ingredient puzzle arrived at the table to put me in a deeper, dark mood. The drink was a smoothie of peach juice, hard frozen peach slices, and thick shopped ice, in a parfait glass with a straw wide enough to double as a fire hose standing straight up. Helloooo? Any vino in there? Dunno. Service was very nice, but not necessarily conscious. Bread sticks came at the end of the meal, and only after a request. So disappointing. read more

Husband and I went to eat here and they tried to sit us at the smallest most narrow booth in the restaurant when we asked to be moved to another booth because it was too tight, I am a big guy 6'1 weigh about 300lbs they stated loudly that all the booth were the same size which they were not my husband James is 5'5 185 lbs didn't even fit in this booth, they then tried to seat us at a table in the middle of the room where everyone could stare at us after making us the center of attention because I did not fit in the booth... we left an almost empty restaurant as they were not busy at all without even ordering. If you want to be treated with any respect avoid this place if however you enjoy being humiliated and treated like dog crap by all means go to this location read more

Nice newer Olive Garden. Quite large and busy. Great all you can eat salad and soup, vegetarian too. Lots of excellent pasta dishes, the creamy roasted garlic sauce is incredible with tons of roasted garlic cloves. The eggplant parm is my favorite, crispy and delicious and a generous portion. The all you can eat pasta is gone, but the create your own pasta is still on the menu. The service was excellent and fast, always hot breadsticks and refill of drinks.
