    Yakisoba with chicken and pork

Dropped in for dinner and had a great meal. We were seated right away and the service was great. I had the Yahisoba with mixed sea food & vegetables and my partner had Yahisoba with chicken & Pork & vegetables. They were both great. We finished with the Thai donuts that were very tasty.

Out with my squad we got the sampler and it was perfect for 4 people. We cut everything in 2 so everyone got a bite! I ordered the pad Thai with tofu. I'll give it a 4/5 bc I ordered hot and it wasn't spicy at all :( other than that the tofu was crispy and the noodles were cooked perfectly! I.2- I ordered the wonton soup, came out delicious and they are perfect bite size. Then for my entree I ordered Yakisoba ( heat level ; HOT) my nose was running and very tasty , kinda plain but overall amazing! Would 100% recommend. I.3- I ordered the Pineapple Curry, absolutely fantastic flavor! An amazing mix between sweet curry and the perfect mild spice. The pineapple chunks in it are so juicy and a perfect pairing! I.4- I also ordered the pineapple curry, soo good!! I love the sweetness to the dish. I do wish it was served with a little more rice.

I would really give this place 3-1/2 Stars. It was better than "ok" but not quite the place I would go out of my way to return to. It's a little far from my home. But you FGCU'ers got it good. Excellent shopping center with lots of choices. The food was very good. The Service was okay. Typical Thai food menu. I got my "staple" - Spicy Chicken Pad Thai (Thai hot). Plenty of seating, although I'm sure it's busy in season. My wife had the Coconut Curry and my daughter had the Green Curry. They both enjoyed their meals.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. It is nestled in a nice clean shopping center. Indoor and outdoor seating. We choose to sit outside since there is a breeze, fans, and it was covered. I ordered the lunch Pad Thai with tofu. It comes with a miso soup and a vegetable spring roll. The miso soup and the spring roll were so good! A perfect starter. The pad Thai was a great portion! Full of flavor and it was delicious! The tofu was great! Would definitely come back!

I had high hopes for this place given the great reviews and how busy it always seems. We came around 530ish on a Saturday night and we were given the option to be seated promptly outside. The server told us to sit wherever we'd like, so we did. After we got our appetizer and finished eating it, the server came back to ask us to move tables to accommodate a party of 8. It appeared this party did not have a reservation as we had been told to sit anywhere. While initially hesitant, we moved tables. This new table was in a location not well lit and a bit dirty. Upon leaving at the end of our meal, we noticed another party of 2 was seated at our initial table, next to the party of 8. In sum, we likely shouldn't have been asked to move at all. As for the food, the spring rolls were great. Highly recommend. We ordered the chicken pad Thai and the teriyaki steak. No one asked how the steak should be cooked, and it came out rare (as later confirmed by our receipt). Knives were not even provided at the table to cut the steak. We didn't have an opportunity to tell our server as she never came out to check on us. If it were me, I would have sent it back, but my partner ended up eating it. When the server cleared the table, she handed us the bill and did not even ask if we wanted anything else or dessert. Yes, there is a dessert menu. No refills were offered for drinks either. Overall, this was a disappointing experience from the environment to the food. Likely will not return. Hoping this was a fluke, but it was rather disappointing, especially when paying over $50 for 2 entrees, an appetizer, and a soda.

Very good food , and I should have listen to the owner to get the large of their coconut noodle…read moresoup instead of their two mediums to go once I got home , it was 15-20 minute drive to the house... the noodles sucked up all the broth. It was still very tasty, but man. I sure was dumb as heck. I called them to apologize, and they were humble about it. They said that a lot of people doesn't listen and gives them a sour face about it. Lol a large , can be an individual soup or a shareable soup. They put the noodles and the broth separated . You can eat it anytime. Freeze the broth , they said. The noodles , you can get it at the Asian store . Only the large can be separated. The medium soup is sold as is not separate or they will charge a fee which I totally understand , because it's not same . Honestly it's so much better getting the large than the medium. Doesn't matter if you can't finish it, you can literally freeze the broth and have it any time. Don't get booty hurt if they tell you . You have to have it within 30minutes, for the medium size. And it's $7.95, for the large it's $13.95 with the noodles and broth on the side. (Now that's a better deal) . . Kickin wings 5/5 $12.95 Panang curry chicken Thai hot with extra peanut butter and crushed peanuts 5/5 $17.95 Thai green curry with shrimp , no bell but add broccoli , Thai chili peppers , and extra basil 5/5 $20.95 Coconut noodle soup 5/5 just as is no protein Mango curry duck, extra crispy and extra ginger and add pineapples 5/5 $ 31.95 Kanom Jeeb ( recommended by a friend ) 4/5 it's very different Moo ping ( if you don't like fat, then don't get it) sweet, savory and juicy $11.95 5/5 Lao papaya salad ( EXTRA EXTRA SPICY) 5/5 with all the stinky stuff ( y'all know it's authentic when it smells like fish sauce ) they can make the American basic white people papaya salad where they go eww is that fish sauce " those are the people who think they know what Thai food is because they've been to Thailand . (NO ONE CARES) Tom yum shrimp extra spicy ( SO GOOD) 5/5 Many more coming soon. I usually dine in here , take outs with the wife at home is so much better!!! Most times they are busy with takeouts when the dining room looks empty . And some times the dining room is full, but the take outs go by quickly. But other times , they can be busy busy! I really like Thai Star and lang xang!

I went to Thai Star for lunch. When I walked inside, I decided that I wanted to order food to-go…read more The staff did get me a water while I waited, which was nice, but the whole interaction was awkward, as if they never had someone come in and order food to-go before. It was dark and dreary and empty inside. There were tables everywhere for seating. I ordered the Thai Red Curry with vegetables. Food was just ok. The vegetables were overcooked and the rice tasted as though it was a few days old. Overall, disappointing experience.
