So disappointed! I am so impressed when I first walk in. The staff at the host station is so welcoming. I am excited for the evening -it's our daughter's birthday! Sadly the excitement doesn't last long. I am told that the wait would be about 20-25 min for our party of 11. We are waiting over 40 min - our kids are quite restless at this point- I walk up to the host to check how much longer the wait would be. It's odd I think. All the people that came after us are called and seated. Everyone but us. I give her our name she looks at me with an "oh sh.." look on her face. She admits that she cancelled our table assuming we were another party... and was now scrambling to get us seated. Finally after an additional 10min wait we are seated in a back room to the left of the restaurant and place our drink order. I get that the drinks for 11 people might take a bit longer- but most of our party ordered just water. 15 min later.. no drinks still. Then finally... here they come. We are placing our entree order and letting the waitress know l that we are splitting the bill 3 ways since we are 3 families. No problem she says - order coming right up... It's again 20 min later... we are still waiting..... for salad and bread sticks. Kids are super restless and hungry at this point. Finally... quite a while later the waitresses are bringing salad and the bread sticks. I don't want cheese and ask one of the waitress if she could bring me a separate salad. Sure! She says. Our kids are starved and devouring the bread & salad. I wait, since it cannot take that long to bring a small bowl of salad I think.. 20 min later... I still don't have a salad. It has been now about 40 min since we are sitting at the table. My son in law sees one of the waitresses and flags her down asking for my order. She is not even apologizing, walks away but is finally bringing the salad for me and a refill on salad and breadsticks for the rest of the family. It's now about an hour since we sat down - no entrees in sight - no waitress either... Then finally after about 90 minutes wait our food finally arrives. All but my minestrone soup... how difficult can it be to ladle a soup into a bowl...??? One of the waitresses comes to the table once and says in a very loud voice: "You are good now, or?" Huh? How odd. We eat - having to flag a waitress down for refills on drinks. The "louder one" gets quite impatient with us and gets a bit unfriendly. It almost feels like she doesn't want to help our table. When it's time for the check we are told that it will be divided into 3 as asked. Nope... it's all on one check. We are trying to divide it our self on the handheld device on the table. One check goes through the others don't. My son in law makes its way to the front trying to find someone. He comes back and is quite annoyed at this point about the poor service, and now messed up check. It takes the staff over an additional 30 min to figure out what's wrong... before they can fix it.. By all means: we are no fussy people but we have been at the restaurant now for 3!!! whopping hours!!!! and are getting irritated. On the way out the manager smiles at me saying: hope you had a good time. Nope I say and explain what happened. First she is trying to swat me off but when I am telling her that we came for a birthday dinner to celebrate - and literally everything went wrong- she feels bad and gives me a $50 gift card. I say: I will give it to my daughter since it was supposed to be her evening and leave. It was a nice gesture of her trying to make up for their mistakes - but honestly: This was the worst evening ever! We placed a curbside order for two fettuccini chicken Alfredo's. Meal arrived hot and was good when we got it home after a 10 minute drive. Lots of chicken and a good size of pasta. Sometimes that's hit and miss. But, certainly was a good portion today. The server that brought us our food was courteous and checked that what she was handing us was what we ordered. Only downside I have is the parking lot of the restaurant. I'm not sure who designed the parking lot. But, it's very cramped and there are too many curves, island, and narrow paths to drive your car. We have been to this local Olive Garden multiple times and service has been hit and miss. However two days ago we decided to have an early dinner here, at the Beavercreek location. We walk inside and see the hostess talking to another employee from the bar area, with her back to us. No biggie. Our family stands there while they talk about someone's business and the male employee sees us but says nothing to the hostess. At this point it's almost comical. A few minutes (at least!!!) into their conversation, he finally signals her to turn around. The hostess immediately apologizes and seats us. I'm thinking great dinner redeemed right? Not even close. We sit down at the table and peruse our menus. Another party is seated at the table just past us shortly after we sit. A server makes her way to them and starts grabbing their drink orders. At this point we were ready to order drinks and contemplating which appetizer to get (I bring this up to demonstrate time). A few more passes of the server over who knows how long and she's now taken their order and is ignoring us completely. At this point we still haven't even been acknowledged. We decide to skip the appetizer and just order our meals with our drinks when she comes to our table. Still nothing. So much time has gone by at this point my husband and I both looked at our watches to figure out how long it's possibly been since this entire thing started. Server makes another pass to the table past us and once again leaves without acknowledging us. We got up and left after 25 minutes of little to no service after walking in the door. We aren't fussy people and being a prior server myself we appreciate food service workers and always leave at least 20% even when something wasn't great. But this? This was almost comical if it wasn't so bad from start to finish. I know that the food industry is suffering right now. There is a shortage of workers and keeping people is hard. We completely get it. But there is no great excuse for not even acknowledging guests in your establishment. The restaurant wasn't busy either. We decided to spend our money somewhere else. read more

My mom isn't super comfortable eating inside restaurants still so last night I ordered Olive Garden to go for the two of us. I ordered it in the afternoon and asked for it to be ready to be picked up at 5:15 so I could swing by and pick it up when I got off work. I pulled in a 5:13, checked in with the link it was texted and my food came out a few minutes later. The employee who brought me my food was really friendly and told me to be careful because my food had just been finished so it was hot. I could tell by the heat coming through the bag that it was really fresh. I appreciated that even though I placed my order hours ahead of time, they made sure that my food was ready right at the pickup time I indicated. The food tasted great as well. My family and I decided to go to the Olive Garden last night since we haven't been there in a while. Well, let's just say, I'm glad we did! First off, I was happy they had handicapped accessibility. Now, the service was surprisingly good. Once we arrived and got inside, we were taken to our table right away. We waited just a few moments until our waiter appeared and took our drink orders. He came back and we ordered the unlimited salad and breadsticks, which was amazing (especially those breadsticks). We waited only about 15 more minutes and our food arrived. That was a plus: fast service is always a good thing. The food was delicious! My dad got the Chicken Marsala, Mom had the Eggplant Parmesan with a side of Spaghetti and Marinara and last, but not least, I had the Create Your Own: Spaghettini with Meat Sauce. We each loved our meals and took them home along with fresh breadsticks! My dad also ordered the dessert: Tiramisu. Again, he loved it! To sum it up, this experience was one of the best! When I was 10 until I was 25 my favorite restaurant was Olive Garden. Yes, the cynics will say it's not true Italian, but it was delicious to me. This time, and it has been 2 years since my last visit, not so much. This is not a review about the service. The servers were incredible. Had a trainee with a trainer server and they were 100% incredible. I can't remember the server's name, but the trainee was Genesis (we saw her the most). They were great. BUT the food lacked in the flavor I remembered from this place. The soup wasn't nearly as good, the breadsticks were hard, and the sauce on the ziti was watery. Just not tasty. I was very disappointed because I had been looking forward to it all day. As a side note: get people working the front booth who know how to not mumble when they speak. Our server Tish won my heart from the time she greeted us, throughout our dinner service. Friendly and informative would be words to describe her. Now the meal was as expected... nothing to write home about, yet it got the job done for two people not wanting to cook Sunday evening. It's been a while since I've eaten at Olive Garden and decided to stop in for dinner tonight with a friend after a basketball game. Hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had here from friendly staff to tasty cuisine. This place is A-OK. It sure is popular. I've walked away from the waitlist twice (each time being over 45 minutes) before I actually dined here. And when I did, it was fine. The service was good, and the food didn't blow my mind but it was very decent: Pretty standard Olive Garden fare from what I understand. The main focus will be on this anectdote from the evening. When serving the hot clams and pasta to a lady I was dining with, the waiter sloshed the hot sauce from the bowl onto her hand. It was an accident, understandably, but this lady (whom I had just met and have no allegience to) went on and on and on about it, and the waiter didn't respond to the incident directly, just apologized. Upon the waiter's return for refills this lady brought it up again and the manager had to come out and ended up offering her three things: that her meal be paid for, an additional $30 gift card, and gave her some burn balming lotion that the kitchen staff uses. All this for a very mild burn, understand.. Kudos to the manager for being so nice to a rude customer. The moral of the story I guess: Get burned at Olive Garden and eat twice for free. read more

Olive Garden has good salads but most of the menu is low effort offerings of pasta. If not for the salads, Fazoli's would be comparable. Cutting your menu might be profitable in the short run, but over time customers will choose to go elsewhere. The menu is a skeleton of what it once was and family favorites such as chicken marsala went from great ten years ago, to weak, to missing completely off the menu. We used to go to Olive Garden at least once a month. Not anymore. There are few non- pasta options and it's a bit pricey for pasta that resembles a fast food offering. read more

we came to this location because my nephew asked if they would be able to accommodate our family of 26 after my mothers funeral. When he called, the manager said that they usually don't take reservations, but since it was a funeral party they would accommodate. My nephew even called when the funeral went over a little bit and they said come on we still can accommodate. When we got there, the manager did a 360 and said she never promised anything that it was first come first serve and we would have an hour and a half wait. Our family was already drained with today's events. My problem is is she should've told us it would be an issue in the first place and she didn't. She gave no indication that there would be a problem or wait.
