We visited Olive Garden yesterday, March 22, late in the afternoon. My mother, stepfather, daughter, granddaughter and myself. I didn't take many pics this time, I apologize for that, but we had a wonderful experience! Very very good customer service from start to finish! I am watching calories, so the pics shown, are a few things I ordered without pasta. I did order a small bowl of Alfredo on the side so I could dip my chicken and broccoli into it. But everyone else did get pasta dishes, appetizers, etc, and was enjoyed by ALL! Our waiter was a very tall young man, I don't have his name, but he provided excellent service all the way around. No matter what we asked, he provided and was so kind. Another young man came out to tell my daughter that her Tour of Italy would be delayed due to the lasagna baking and gave her other options if she didn't want to wait. Again, my pics do not show all of the wonderful dishes we got, I did love mine though and suited my own personal preference at the moment with eating, but we had a very good experience and will return!!!! read more

Out of all chain restaurants this one right here is tops for me. Olive Garden in general has always been my favorite since I was a little kid. Who doesn't like pasta? This location is my go to now for the past 5-6 years. Unless you hit the dinner crowd on a Friday or Saturday night there usually isn't much if any wait to be seated. Always clean and the staff are always friendly. Has every visit been perfect? No, but someone tell me a chain restaurant that knocks it out of the park everything single time. Just about every server we've ever had here has been on their game. Always asking to refill the drinks or just bringing them out. Never have to ask if I want more soup because they already know the answer is yes. Same for grated cheese. Zuppa Toscana is the best and I could and have a couple times just had that as my meal, it's that good. Bread sticks lately seem to not be as good as the they once were but maybe that's just me. I always get something different than the last time for my meal because it all hits the spot. The Italian flavored sodas and teas are amazing. All and all even when the service isn't perfect or the food takes longer than normal, I won't ever really complain because the kid in me still loves this place. read more

We've heard all the "Olive Garden isn't real Italian food" comments, and lots of talking down about it, so we went into this trying not to think it was an Olive Garden, but rather a new Italian place that someone recommended. And we tried not to think about the fact that, as I've been told, most of the food is prepared off-site and simply heated up on-site (which could be false info for sure). And I am NOT yucking anyone's yum. Many people like Olive Garden and that's cool. The verdict? It wasn't the worst food I've eaten, but I won't be returning. One thing I noticed was that everything other than the desserts was very salty. The salad dressing was tasty, albeit too thick for my liking, and really needed to be tossed well. The breadsticks were good. We tried the fried mozzarella, which was tasty, and gave a nice cheese pull photo op. The lasagna had some kind of meat sauce with beef and sausage. Didn't like that at all. The fettucine alfredo was tasty, though a bit thick and gloppy. The rigatoni marinara got high marks from me only because they use mezzi rigatoni (short rigatoni), which is one of my favorite shapes. The marinara had a little heat to it, but tasted like what I think a jarred sauce might taste like. The meatballs were full of bread, so pretty dense and heavy. Tasted ok. The desserts were very tasty. I can see the attraction of the place, as the prices are fairly reasonable, you can get as much salad and breadsticks as you want, and the food is consistent no matter what Olive Garden you visit because of the centralized preparation. The last time we used Olive Garden we ordered out because we had a couple visiting and didn't want to leave their puppy. My wife and I have always enjoyed eating at Olive Garden - we tend to load up on their salad and either get a small entrée or take home part of a larger one. Ordering off the takeout menu means you can't have refills on salad and, at least the night we ordered, some limitation on the entrées that are available. So in a couple of cases we had to order something other than what the person first wanted. Beyond that the food was delivered to our car right at the time OG said it would be ready, it stayed hot through our trip home, and was pretty good once we sat down to eat. read more

We eat at the Hanover Olive Garden at least once a month. We were seated next to a family with a kid that was screaming nonstop. Manager said they would not move us to another table because they call this a family environment. Food was great, waitress was very nice however the management has lost focus on their customers. Not sure what happened. Today was not a good visit . We were there at a non busy time 1:30.We ordered one meal and the rest of the group ordered unlimited soup and salad. Service from the kitchen was very slow. 30 plus minutes for a plate of spaghetti. It was a a little bit over cooked. Soup and salad wrong soups were brought out. Some soups were hot others not so much.trying to refills took a little while at times . But my soda glass was keep full. Server was very friendly and apologetic on kitchen issues. I know this is a chain restaurant ~ but sometimes that's what we crave! Hats off to OG for updating their decor and menu! We tried the new Artichoke Fritti ~ not a huge fan, but not bad. The hubster and I ordered the new lighter faire Ravioli di Portobello dish ~ ravioli filled with portobello mushrooms, topped with a creamy, smoked cheese and sun-dried tomato sauce. It wasn't bad. Glad we ordered the smaller portions however so we could really enjoy the best part...the new Kiwi-Melon Limonata ~ lemonade, sparkling water and refreshing kiwi-melon. SO good! I came here for my birthday dinner with my family around 6:40pm. The food was really good. However, I ordered the donuts dessert for my free birthday dessert. They took a long time to come out and when the waitress brought it out they brought it out in a Togo container. Came home to find that this is what my bday dessert was (see picture) Needless to say I will double check my food next time before I leave. Just a bummer! I have always been a huge fan of Olive Garden, but haven't been able to make it back in quite some time. After dinner tonight, I was reminded that some things never change-- it was an absolutely awesome experience! I know it's a chain, but the food here is to die for. The breadsticks and salad alone are worth a trip-- and you get an endless supply of both of them! The one big gripe I have with OG is that they charge you for marinara sauce to dip the breadsticks in. It's a pretty hefty charge also, at around $4. Just for sauce!? Really!? I don't know if it's just me, but I feel marinara sauce should come complimentary with breadsticks. The two go hand in hand with each other... it's like serving a hamburger without a bun! It's not just the marinara sauce that's overpriced either-- I feel a majority of their menu is, despite the quality of the food. These are the two sole reasons why I can only give OG four stars instead of five. I understand paying more for a high end restaurant-- but I just don't classify the Olive Garden as one of them, so the prices are a bit steep in my opinion. That aside, let's get onto the food. I can't seem to break myself from the "Tour of Italy." My indecisive self always defaults to it after not being able to choose from the many awesome dishes on the menu. It never disappoints! Chicken Parm, Lasagna, and Fettuccini Alfredo on one plate... I couldn't ask for more! If I had to choose a portion of the platter that was lacking in any way, it would be the chicken parm. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but the chicken itself seemed dry and a tad tough. This isn't the norm though, I can assure you. The fettuccini was creamy and full of flavor, and the lasagna was super robust! My girlfriend got the lasagna itself as an entree, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. It all came out nice and hot too. I typically do not order desserts, but my girlfriend and I found ourselves in the mood to top off our awesome entrees with an after meal treat after seeing the newest dessert selection advertised on the tabletop display. It was a dessert lasagna of sorts-- and it was knock your socks off good, especially when paired with the coffee beverages we ordered along side it! My girlfriend got a Caffe Mocha, and I the Caramel Hazelnut Macchiato. Both, nothing short of heaven in a cup! Highly recommend this Olive Garden for any occasion! But don't even think about coming here if your looking for a bargain, or to stay within any sort of weight loss diet! read more

Came here tonight eager for a good meal. Unfortunately, we were sat and waited over 15 minutes with multiple servers walking past us, nobody came to take care of our table. We even called our server on the tablet on our table and it timed out we waited so long. I'm sure had we said something someone would have eventually come to our table but I'd rather dine somewhere where our time is respected. If that's important to you as well, choose somewhere else to eat dinner. There's tons of other great locally owned restaurants nearby with excellent service. read more

My husband and I enjoy Olive Garden because we know what to expect coming from this Italian chain. This was the first time dining at the Hanover location and it was an absolutely horrible experience solely because of our server. I have never been treated so poorly at a dining establishment as our server was downright rude and had no people skills. I understand we went on a Saturday evening and that it was extremely busy, however, our server complained openly to us about her job, and spoke illy of her co-workers. In addition she got our orders wrong, but due to the chaos of the evening we decided to just say nothing. I have never not tipped anyone but as soon as we were done eating we paid the bill through the kiosk on the table and just left. Horrible, horrible experience. A server shouldn't make you feel bad for eating at a restaurant, but this server managed to. Unfortunately they did not wear name tags so I was unable to get her name. read more

We have been long long time supporters of Olive Garden. Even through the hardest times of the lockdown. We went last night excited to have somewhat of a nice meal for our wedding anniversary. Let's just say we would of been better off going to McDonalds. The food was like hospital food put on the plate and cooked. I loved your Chicken Marsala I was so disappointed last night. Again, as a chain, it's hard to review. The food quality is no different than the average OG, but I can say that the service I've received here from the waitresses (I've only ever had female servers) has been above, beyond, and entirely phenomenal in all cases except one. There's an older waitress who really isn't as with it, had a bit of an attitude, checked on us maybe once, waited an hour for our food during which she ignored us... So all times except that one, the service has gone above and beyond. My son has a speech disorder that also affects his mouth and eating. It's easier for him to eat certain foods, and breadsticks from OG are one of them. So we go here a lot and am usually very pleased. read more

Ok. The server is trying. I'll give him credit for that. But apparently the kitchen is down 2 and backed up till tomorrow. I think we got here at 6pm. Seated at 6:30, that's fine. Expected even for a Friday night. It's now 7:54, and we're still waiting for our food. With 2 kids, this is a long wait. Thankfully they are in good spirits today. When we did finally get our food, two dishes were wrong. I ordered a chicken Alfredo with fettuccine and got tortellini noodles instead. My husband and I stopped here for lunch on Wednesday (4/3). We must have missed the lunch crowd, not extremely busy and we were seated right away. We both ordered from the lunch duo specials, their always pleasing salad and my husband had fettuccine Alfredo and I had the lasagne. Both our favorites. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. Our only criticism was that the salad had huge pieces of onion through it but otherwise, we enjoyed our lunches immensely. I've gone to this location three times. I've been sorely disappointed each time. The first time I went, the food was cold and the seat (despite being a brand new restaurant) was broken. I dismissed this as new-restaurant learning curve. The second time I went, the food was slow to arrive and the service was mediocre at best. I think that I got half a portion? The third time the food was great! The service, however, was the worst that I have ever had at any restaurant. I asked about a substitution and was encouraged to do it. I wasn't told that there was a 50% up charge on the kids meals for substituting alfredo sauce for tomato sauce until the bill arrived. When I asked the waiter about it, he stammered, "do you want to talk to a manager?" By that time we had waited so long for the check and been promised drink refills so many times (never came), I just paid the bill and left. I will NOT be back for a 4th disappointment. read more

Usually I have had good experiences with Olive Garden. But at this one I had two bad ones back to back. The first time, we ordered our appetizer and food at the same time. 50 minutes later still no food, but multiple other tables that came after us got their food. When we asked, it never got entered in. We waited another 15 minutes got our food, and on the first bite my boyfriend flipped over his ravioli and it had a hair in it. When we told them, they didn't handle it well and he said don't worry about any food. They brought it out anyways and it was cold. We didn't go again for many months than when we did, the service was horrible and it again took over an hour to get our food.
