Food was good & tasted very good, the issue is service received. Wife & I entered restaurant and were seating fairly quickly with no wait time. We arrived shortly after 3:pm, after their lunch crowd and before any dinner rush. The waitress came to table, introduced herself and asked what we'd like to drink, which we gave our drink order. She asked if we knew what we wanted to eat and we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. She returned in a little bit with our drinks and items for two other tables all at the same time. She asked again if we were ready to order and we gave our order and requested cheese sauce for our bread sticks. At least 15 minutes went by and we finally received our soups & side salad along with our cheese sauce. As politely asked if their kitchen was backed up since we've never waited at any Olive Garden location this long for or salad, soup or cheese sauce. She stated that yes, there was only one person working in the kitchen causing the delay. She apologized for our wait. We our main course meals were brought out, my wife's meal had the wrong meat on it and my requested Italian sausage for my meal didn't come out with my meal. The young waitress again apologized and within 5-7 mins my wife's meal came back out and she said my sausage was coming. By the time my sausage came out, half of my pasta meal was gone, I didn't want to eat cold pasta. Each instance, the waitress apologized and at the end gave us a free dessert to share. Again, this was not during any lunchtime or dinner time rush, there were plenty of empty tables and wait staff all around the restaurant. This place is excellent! For lunch or dinner, they have different portion sizes. You can get in and sit in if a table is available or have a reservation or you can straight to the bar area and sit yourself. For a quick meal I suggest the bar area. The food comes out quick full of flavor and endless soup or salad and breadsticks make for an amazing meal at a great value! First time of MANY to come of take out! When in a pinch you go to take out, and they came through! Asked for extra olives on salads (hey, of course, you're OLIVE garden) and they did. Asked for the skin to be removed from my eggplant parm AND THEY DID! Everything came out hot and perfect so both my husband and I said we'd do it again! I love how you can get refills without paying extra. My son had the kids meal - choice of chicken fingers and fries. He enjoyed his meal Hubby had the chicken parmigiana which he enjoyed. This was my first time ever having dinner at Olive Garden. It was good but could have been better . My chicken parmigiana was decent but the pasta sauce was very bland and needed help . My boyfriend had spaghetti with grilled chicken and it was pretty tasty. He loved his Pasta Fagiole and my Zuppa Toscana was very good . My only complaint..... we had to wait for breadsticks which were supposed to be unlimited yet , they had none ready. I asked for red pepper for my sauce ( hoping to help the blandness) but it took quite awhile for it to materialize as did the cheese grater which seemed to be the only one in the restaurant . All in all it wasn't a bad meal and we'll definitely give it another chance. Note: The manager stopped at every table to check in with diners and ask about service and dining experience. Visited when in town because the kids wanted Olive Garden, the wait was long (Saturday pm around 4) we should have known, Nice that you can wait in the car for a text to be seated. When finally in (And I understand social distancing - but I think they could have filled more seats and still had people distance, they might have been OVER DOING the distance) I still have the opinion that for people SUPER concerned about Corona, they probably dont leave the house, if you are eating at Olive Garden (or anywhere for that matter) you are probably not that worried about being in public, but ok - rant over! Fresh, hot, warm and cozy breadsticks were brought right away and our dinner followed shortly after the awesome salad showed up too....that was never-ending, if not for us being full already, we'd eat more... The food is exceptional, to be honest. Uncle Tom said his soup and salad was really good and his entire dinner was delicious, especially the meat sauce, which he always comes back for, on top of spaghetti. . The music is just right, soothing and makes you easily want to take a nap after enjoying such great food with family and friends. Great time and delectable experience. Andes chocolate mints at the end but check out the desserts....oh my. We thoroughly enjoyed it here today. My family and I have been eating here for several years with both good and bad experiences. They were always hiring and I wanted to get back into serving so I applied. I offered them every day availability, along with extensive experience and was told in an email that they are moving along and I'm not selected. I took offense to that as what is the reason? This review is based on not only my experience at this location with the food and service (a few are really great and there's a couple who really should learn manners). I've could have really added to the awesome guest experiences, but feel they discriminated against me because there would have been no reason at all not to give me a chance. I would not recommend coming here. My boyfriend and I went last night and he and I woke up not feeling the best. He wasn't able to drive back to his house even because he got sick behind the wheel. Maybe instead of rushing and having your "homemade" frozen sauce cooked in the microwave you should be able to check the expiration date before. I've previously worked at an Olive Garden and I already know the food is not the freshest even though they like to say it is. The whole situation is completely uncalled for. I will not be coming back, which I'm sure doesn't phase anybody at all. If more people keep getting sick though then maybe it will and maybe that 3 star rating you have would be higher as well if you had gotten more quality products for your customers. read more

The meal itself was great and the waitstaff was very attentive. The reason for the 3 stars is because of their online reservation program. We planned out the evening in such a way that we could leave Dutch Wonderland, drive a few minutes down the road, and get there just as our 30-minute quote was up. Upon walking into the restaurant we were told it would be a 30-minute wait. My wife informed them that the online system said we would have a table available in 30 minutes' time, 30 minutes ago. The hostess was unable to explain how the online system works and seemed confused by the whole process (maybe more training is needed). Other people waiting experienced the same issues with using the online system. I think this needs to be a top priority for them as it doesn't make sense to take reservations or call ahead only for that to be totally useless if people walking in off the street are given the same wait times as people who planned ahead. They may have been understaffed however there were TONS of open tables when we were taken back. We may try this place again in the future but for my money, I'd rather go to Texas Roadhouse where they can stand behind their online call ahead program. read more

The bartender picked up a cocktail napkin and rubbed a 5 inch circle and proceeded to wait on me. I ordered. Then I saw a bus person cleaning some tables behind me and I asked her to wipe my spot. She did. I ordered angel hair 5 cheese maranta and grilled chicken. The pasta was so over cooked that it was un-edible. I ate the chicken. The bartender asked me if I needed a box. She brought us breadsticks with the salad trailing behind 10 minutes later. Then we waited 15 minutes for our soup! Everything used to come out together which was the point... not to mention the Chicken and Gnocchi soup didn't even have the correct ingredients! Came here for dinner, party of 4: 2 adults 2 kids. We ordered two kids meals, 2 all you can eat soup salad & breadsticks plus one shrimp fettuccini Alfredo to share. The place was pretty packed for limited capacity availability. We sat & was immediately greeted by our server who was so nice but overwhelmed which had an impact on our service during our entire stay. For example: kids meals which were supposed to come with spaghetti didn't, we had to ask, our all you can eat salad & breadsticks only came the one initial time. My husband & I shared each others soups until we were able to order again. It was very hard to get in touch with our waitress. We asked a couple times for the salad & breadsticks to come out but by the time she got around to us we just said, never mind. My family was "greeted " more like approached by a black woman dressed conservatively but made up with garish makeup like she was going to a Halloween party. She was distant robotic and not personable We were there on a Monday afternoon not at night it was only about 3pm and she had the longest fake eyelashes I ever saw. The salad tasted like it was doused in vinegar and in a huge bowl of it, just two measly slices of tomato then we got the potato gnocchi soup the soup was good the gnocchis tasted like boxed mashed potatoes the toscano soup tasted like a band-aid it was unbearably bad who wants to eat a band aid? The bread was soft but not Italian it should have olive oil and garlic on it. I had to pick out the chunks of uncooked tomatoes from my spaghetti so I could eat my spaghetti which was good. We visited this Olive Garden on 6/22/2018 for dinner. It was the first time we had been to an Olive Garden in probably over 2 years and I wish we had never gone back. Pros: We were seated promptly and our server was efficient. Cons: Our server was not very friendly (you could tell the last place she wanted to be was working that night), the rugs were filthy, it took over a half hour to get our meal (and the place wasn't even that busy) and the food was nothing like I expected. I ordered the Tour of Italy and the Chicken Parmigiana appeared to be chicken that was once frozen and unthawed and the Lasagna Classico looked nothing like lasagna but rather a spoonful of slop (see picture). I have never written a review in my life , but I felt had to. We went to strasburg for the Santa Train and none of us are anything , until we got here. When we sat down there was a long hair on the napkin for the silverware. We ordered appetizers and plates never came. We asked a server walking by for plates and we noticed the hair. He said that's not good and grabbed another set When the salad came out. I ended biting down on a piece of pepper I thought and it was a hair about 10 inches long and it was completely in my mouth. I held my throw up in as best as I could to not make a scene. The waitress came over and I showed her. She was apologetic and said she would tell the manager. Giving the manager the benefit of the doubt. I was waiting and she never came. Our entrees came out and all three of us had disgusting meals. I had the chicken and scrimp carbanora. It was just all food soaked in oil and I didnt finish it. I maybe ate about 20% of its My wife ate two bites of her eggplant parm. She said the spaghetti that came with it was hard. This was my first visit to olive garden in Lancaster. The place has good ambience and phenomenal seating capacity. We had to wait a bit long to give the order and get the food. Fried mozzarella and bread sticks were the highlights of the food. Minestrone soup was horrible. Fettuccine Alfredo pasta was okayish but cheese ravioli was not at par with the standards of Olive garden. Olive garden at other places serve better food than this place. I'm not a Yelp snob like so many others who like to piss on chain restaurants just because it's a chain restaurant. The food and service may have been perfectly fine but just because it was place X everything has to automatically be graded down because it's a chain. With that said, I'm going to break my own rule and go against what I just said because honestly most chain Italian places annoy me. A little pasta with some sauce and cheese and that is somehow worth $13 or $14 dollars? Sounds a bit far fetched to me. Seating: We blast in here on a Saturday afternoon at a nice Linner time and even though things are fairly busy we're seated right away without any wait so good start. Service: Oy! Our guy was new and man was he slow. Over twenty minutes to bring our drinks to the table and whether it was his fault for not checking or the kitchen's fault for not rendering fast enough it took a luscious 40+ minutes from the time we ordered until the main course hit the table. True that in the mean time eventually soup did find its way to the table but it shouldn't take over forty minutes for noodles, sauce and cheese. Also being new our guy "J" has no idea about quality control. We're pigs so we ordered an app of the fonduta which came out looking really, really bad (more on this later) and yet it was still brought to our table. Right away I tell "J" this doesn't look good to which he agrees that it was a "bad batch" to which my internal question is obviously "Why the F is it getting served like nothing is wrong when it looks like a bottle of Olive Oil was poured on top?" It got taken off the bill but it never should have left the kitchen. Food: The kids' pasta meals were fine but again, six dollars for a little bit of noodles, sauce and cheese is a bit much and the then to add on a dollar for an undersized meatball only adds insult to injury. The eggplant parm was overly salty and the pasta was bland and left mostly uneaten. The five cheese ziti is good but damn is it heavy. Arguably it was the best thing out of the food albeit the simplest to produce as it is nothing more than a glorified kids' meal. End Game: The soups were good. We were never asked if we wanted any more breadsticks past the initial basket so I guess ours were not endless and the food was very uneven with service that was lax at best. This was the first time I had been to an Olive Garden in this century and it probably will be the last for quite a while as I realized that over the past eighteen or so years since my last visit, I haven't missed a thing. read more

Many yelpers gripe about the time it takes for seating at Olive Gardens, but we used their call-ahead seating, and it worked great. We actually called both this location and Park City, and this was the shorter wait...so here we came! And, by the time we arrived, our 45-minute wait all-but had expired, so a 5-minute wait in the foyer resulted in quick seating. As for the food, all was good. I'm partial towards the "Tour of Italy"- Chicken Parm, fettuccine alfredo, and lasagne. Everyone enjoyed the food; service was ok tonight. The only gripe was the house cabernet, which I thought was pretty nasty. Wouldn't try that again. About 10 years ago, I appreciated the big chain restaurants and their predictable food. But I'm bored with that crap now. My tastes have changed a lot; their menus haven't. I ordered the portobello ravioli - I couldn't really taste the filling, though, because they were covered in a salty, gritty alfredo sauce. The bottomless salad and bread sticks were about what I remembered - nothing remarkable, but somewhat more palatable than the ravioli, so I ate more that than my main dinner. Thing is, I don't necessarily think my meal was prepared wrong. I think it was exactly what they intended to serve. But I've come to expect more from my Italian meals. After the disappointing dinner, I thought I'd have a beer. The menu said to ask about their "local craft beer" on tap. The choices my server gave me were Blue Moon, Shock Top, Yuengling, and Budweiser. That was about when I asked for the check. My experience wasn't bad - we were seated in a reasonable amount of time, the staff was friendly, and our waitress was attentive and nice. I just want more from the food. I understand why Olive Gardens is so popular. And this location, which is connected with the outlets is more popular than most. But not far down the road, on the other side of Lincoln Highway is Capricio's, a legitimate Italian restaurant that makes a much better alfredo sauce. I've also enjoyed Pasquale's and Vinny's, even Bruno's Italian hoagies, And it's places like that, that have forever ruined chains like this for me. read more
