My family and I have been coming to this Olive Garden since the early 2000s, and I consider it one of the nicest locations I've been to, even compared to ones in Florida. It's nice to see that the interior still doesn't feel outdated after all these years. The place offers comfortable seating and plenty of room for large parties. We came in on a Saturday night with my husband and some family members and had a wonderful time. Michael was our server and took excellent care of our table, especially with the kids; he made sure to take their orders and bring their food out first, which we really appreciated. Trisha (our waitress) is one of those seasoned service professionals who can juggle a fast pace restaurant and never show it in her demeanor. Amazing service and great food! We were greeted by a super and kind host and we were sat within 5 minutes and this was on Saturday night. We were taken to our table and our server Brittany was the best. She was amazing and went above and beyond. I loved that she spoke a little bit of Spanish and was so kind to my family and I. I have been to this Olive Garden (Palmdale, California) several times and every visit has been enjoyable. During my visits here I have had everything from a 3-star experience to a 5-star experience, with most of my visits being 4-star worthy experiences. I have never had a 1-star or a 2-star experience while here. I have only had one 3-star experience here, but that was many years ago. During that visit, there was a very long wait to be seated, it was very busy and noisy inside, and our waitress was not friendly or attentive. But, again, this was only once many years ago. Most of my visits here have been 4-star worthy experiences. Most often, everything was perfect with the exception of one small thing. A couple of times this has been because my meal was freshly made, but it appeared to be sitting under a heat lamp for too long before being served to me. A couple of times the waitress was not too attentive with drink refills, bringing more breadsticks, or getting a box for me to take the remainder of my meal home. Also, before my main course here, I often get the Chicken & Gnocchi soup; and sometimes I have been disappointed that it is almost entirely liquid and no real substance. However, what primarily brings me to write this review today is due to a 5-star worthy experience I just had a few days ago. I came here with all my kids to celebrate two of my kids having a recent birthday. We arrived at about 8pm on a Saturday night, and I was surprised and pleased that there was no wait at all. This restaurant was busy, but we were still promptly seated in a cozy corner in the back, away from the walking traffic. During this recent visit, our waiter was "Danny M.," and he was amazing. He was very professional, attentive, and he was super friendly to all of us at the table. Our meals were excellent and the evening was very enjoyable, partially due to this outstanding waiter. Whatever he makes, he should get a raise because employees like him are one main reason why customers want to come back. My husband and I were driving through the area and decided to stop in for an early dinner. My husband loves the endless salad and minestrone soup. What impressed me the most about this specific Olive Garden was the outstanding customer service. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy working together even if they were tired or busy. Our server was Cristi and she was phenomenal! Genuinely the sweetest woman! She just exudes kindness. Some of the other servers stopped by as well to ask if all was ok. Kathy was one of them and she was all smiles. I decided to also let the manager Mandy know how impressed we were at how well her staff worked together. She also came back to check on other patrons eating their meals. I watched in awe at how professional the servers were even when the guests were being a bit picky and rude to them. Today, I visited the Palmdale olive garden location and was surprised by the menu presented to me. the host was very observant. she noticed my white cane and that I was visually challenged. The menu was in large print, with Braile. I was very surprised that Olive garden prepared themselves for people with low vision. or blind. .This is something that you don't see in restaurant. Where do I begin! The moment I walked in the host was terrible. Never smiled all three girls that were there were so unprofessional, even chewing gum. Don't order online as the web site is very inflexible and noninformative. We selected the ASAP option which was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes for pick up. After the order was put in it showed a pick up time 2.5 hours later with no place to cancel the order. Had to call, the restuariant 3 time including asking for the manager and was put on hold every single time with no answers so we couldn't even cancel if we wanted to. Very bad service. Finally a manager answered the phone with all the usual we are busy excuses indicating that they were so busy that they no longer took orders..... and apparently also did not care enough about customer service when they are are busy anyway. Food is usually pretty good but never going to order online with them again and would not recommend this place unless you want to go there in person which I won't do with this kind of treatment. read more

Our server was lovely! No issues with her. But the experience was terrible. My family and I came for the endless soup and salad. After ordering and being brought breadsticks and salad, not even halfway through the first salad order the server comes and informs us that they don't have the soup that we came for. The kitchen didn't let her know at the beginning of their shift which is on them. We ask if we could just pay for the salad we distributed since none of the other soups were of interest. We then receive a bill for $30 worth of salad (3 $10 garden salads. Manager approved) when we only had one half filled salad bowl incomplete. We normally enjoy coming here, but today we did not expect to have a $40 bill for a couple of bites and not even the full of what we originally came for.
