We stopped at Olive Garden while headed back home on I 95 north to eat something other than fast food for a change. It was just half mile off the exit near airways avenue. The restaurant parking lot was almost full so we assumed there would be a wait. I ran in to check before getting the family out of the car and as I walked up there was a nice hostess that greeted me, holding a tablet she advised of no wait. Once we were sat, it didn't take long for our server to come and bring us bread and take our drink orders, she was very friendly and checked on us often. The dining area was spotless with no stickiness on the table and no food debris on the floor. There was a manager walking around checking on everyone, it seemed like they had a very efficient workflow. Our breadsticks came out immediately and they were not only hot but had a good amount of seasoning on them, very tasty. We started off with the calamari app that was crispy on the outside and tender within. The Calamari came with a tasty mayo based zesty dipping sauce. For my main dish I went with the herbed salmon with steamed broccoli which I shared with my wife, not a huge portion, but normal plus we didn't wanna be over stuff for driving long distance so It was perfect. When we told the server that we were sharing our main dish and splitting the soup/salad she brought us a separate bowl of gnocchi soup for each and made the salad large enough for our family to share. Our food didn't take long either, we had our main dish within 10 minutes. The salmon had a good balance of herb but not too salty and the butter wasn't overpowering either. The broccoli was nice bright green and freshly steamed . Since we were driving long distance I was worried it would take long for a sit down restaurant but the entire experience took a little less than an hour. On the way out the floor manager gave us a friendly farewell. Clearly, this location is a great option for those traveling in the area to have a relaxing dining experience vs fast food. read more

We stopped in on the early side of dinner to avoid sitting in traffic and were lucky enough to be seated immediately despite the packed parking lot. Our server was friendly and attentive. She ensured our salad portion was adequate for all without overdoing it. She checked in on us frequently yet wasn't overbearing. Considering how busy they were, we were prepared to wait but they beat my expectations. The manager was visible moving throughout the restaurant and whatever systems she had in place were working because the restaurant was functioning like a well oiled machine at top efficiency. The food was good but the chicken a gnocchi soup recipe has changed, in my opinion, and I think the lower sodium (I'm assuming) version isn't as good. The calamari was fried to perfection and the marinade was so delicious. The herb grilled salmon and broccoli was also executed perfectly. I catered dinner for 11 for our track team. The food was ready on time. I ordered 2 entrees, meat sauce, chicken parmigiana, 2 salads and 30+ breadsticks. They gave us tons of spaghetti noodles, and ample amounts of sauce. The salads were enormous tubs and came with two bottles of their famous dressing. One salad would have been enough for all of us. They also provided us with all of the serving trays, serving utensils, and plates we needed. We usually cater from Old Spaghetti Factory, and Olive Garden's food just tastes so much better. Parking lot was packed but we walked straight in with no wait. We were greeted and served within 5 minutes of sitting down. Food was fresh and amazing with not a long wait. Olive Garden used to be one of the best places to eat dinner back in the day. The quality went down and I stopped going. My daughter and I decided to go for an early dinner because we love the Italian margaritas. The menu has changed a lot. I decided to do the make your own pasta. It's reasonably priced. You choose the pasta, the sauce and a topping. I got the Angel hair, mushroom cream sausa and broccoli. I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. My daughter got the five cheese ziti. She loves that one and said her was great. The salad was good. The server was great. She was right there when we needed anything. The prices have gone up but the serving size has too. One meal is large enough for two dinners. I'm definitely going to go back. Great job Olive Garden. read more

After calling first before driving 32 minutes one way to Pooler GA on 4th of July Sunday to confirm with the Lazy Boy salesman Bryan they did, in fact have a "Light Green or Aqua, Mid-green, and dark green in Leather Living Room Sets. Bryan said "Yes sir, we do and we're offering our 4th of July Sale pricing on some of them. My hopeful wife and I set forth. And yes, my wife wants a new Living Room Set, and yes, we thought "how bad could be driving down?" Did I mention my wife wants a new Living Room Set? Suffice it to say we were "lied to" as Bryan stated himself to us as we tried to make something out of nothing we wanted for forty-five minutes! We both came out of the store dejected! What a waste of our Holiday time. When we pulled out of the parking lot, I looked up and saw an Olive Garden giving mecan opportunity. Doing my best to change our dark mood, I asked my wife if she was hungry, she said "Yes". So I drove about 300 yards and pulled into Oliver Garden's restaurant parking lot. We walked up saw the line of twenty people or so waiting, so I walked to the hostess and asked if we could sit in the bar area and eat. She told me we could sit at the bar, so we did. So things were slowly looking up! I looked around and only two of the six booths tables in the Bar were being used. I again returned to the hostess stand and asked a now different hostess if she would seat us in a booth in the bar area? She said "We have a waiting list." I pointed out we were already seated at the bar and that we would prefer eating at a booth table and said "Sure please take the first booth." So we were seated again. Ok, now things were looking up. We ordered for the our Server Adrianne who was young with beautiful blue eyes, and very empathic, and really very efficient in her service. My Wife ordered the Italian Trio, right away and after ordering a glass of their Red Blend wine, I decided on the 6 oz. Sirloin Steak and Fettuccini Alfredo while I again debated medium or medium rare, Adrianne assured me they would cook it right! My Wife felt her Italian Trio was a little over cooked and while I suggested she sent it back she said it was not that bad and she did not want to wait for another meal. With our evening leaning in hard to returning to the dark side, so I said to my Wife "the line chef nailed this steak, it is perfect! Would you like split it?" And so she asked me for a small piece to taste first. She loved it, I love it, along with my red blend wine and Fettuccini Alfredo which was not perfect but good. I ate half of her over seasoned (salt) Italian Trio, the lasagna over cooked. But we were on a roll now as we played the Trivia App game while we ate which we won a couple of times playing Country Wide, so we now, we were hitting on all eight cylinders! We were laughing now at not having a clue on some of the Trivia questions, and how quickly we answered others, the great and not so great food, Adrianne's thoughtful and caring service, the relief from our visit to The Lazy Boy Store being over, so disaster was avoid all together, and it turned out to be a fun and enjoyable evening. In other Hockey terms, "It was a kick save, and a bute!" We highly recommend you ask for Adrianne at the Olive Garden in Pooler, GA as she is terrific. Further we highly recommend, you order the Sirloin Steak and Fettuccini Alfredo with a glass if their Red Blend Wine as you will not be disappointed but thrilled as my Wife loved it and she is not a Stake lover at all. We recommend you pass on the Italian Trio unless you have no sense of smell and need to put large amounts of salt on your food like my departed Mother-in-Law did to taste anything. We recommend this Olive Garden's Shrimp or Chicken Scampi which was very good as we took an order home with us for visiting son, and he felt it tasted "awesome", after sitting our warmer for 32 minutes on the car ride home. I will start by saying our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was as to be expected. The hostesses and manager need to have customer service training. We were a party of six and no one else was waiting. When a hostess or waitress finally came up front to seat our party, she never looked up at us, never greeted us. Finally after several minutes she asked us, without looking up, how many. We told her and she said it would have to go set up the table. We waited and waited. Saw her walking around with a tray full of glasses so she must have been a waitress too. Another hostess came up and didn't offer much help. Finally the manager came up and did ask us if we had been helped. I said I think so but it has been a while. He was not in the least bit friendly. In fact he and the rest of the host staff acted like we were a bother. When we were finally seated it was clear the table could have been put together very quickly. It wasn't a busy time.We are front out of town so maybe that's how all the restaurants on that area act. We frequent Olive Garden a lot at home and have a completely different experience. My food came out looking like someone prepared my food with their eyes closed. The taste was not what I expected. I go to the Olive Garden on Abercorn in Savannah,Ga and the food is great. I decided to go to the one in Pooler and that was a poor decision on my part. The food was saturated in sauce and it took away from the flavor of the shrimp and chicken. The manager was nice and took my plate back to the kitchen to be prepared again. It came out worse than the first time. Rhe manager took the food off my check, but I just wanted my food prepared right so I could eat it. The Olive Garden in Pooler...,never again. The wait was long, the wait for a server was long, the wait for our apps was long, and the food delivery! I received my food before my 3 young grandchildren, now that can't be right. Our server wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly, either. Didn't check on us and didn't offer anything to assist or make our evening better. It's been years since I've been doing Olive Garden, which used to be our favorite place to go for special occasions. We went today for lunch for soup and salad. Salad was great. Both soups were very disappointing. The chicken gnocchi soup had minced chicken and three gnocchi' the zuppa Toscana had no flavor. I always get the shrimp scampi n it's always very good. The last two orders they never put any tomatoes in it which was disappointing. I have also ordered their new steak Calabrian which they didn't have. Very disappointed in this especially as one order was put in about 11.30 just minutes into lunchtime. Terrible from the get go! Had a 15-20 min wait today even though there were only 2 other people waiting to be seated. While waiting, a man from the bar area was complaining about not being waited on and asked 3 times to talk to a manager. One of the 2 hostess that was there just kept looking at him and wouldn't even speak to him. The other hostess just kept standing there twirling her hair over and over! The two people that were present upon our arrival were seated and then 2 girls that came in 15 minutes after us were seated. I went up to the hostess and she asked if she can help me as if she had never seen me before. I advised that we checked in but she never asked me my name and that she seated 2 other people that came in after us. She finally ended up seating us. We were taken to the left side of the dining room where behind our table was a VERY loud employee giving what sounded like a new employee orientation to 2 new employees. She was extremely loud-we heard every word, to include the free meals for employees but Alfredo isn't included. Credit union availability with low interest rates to leave benefits including sick leave that can be used for family members as this girl said her mother had cancer and she used it for that-she was so loud that I could go on and on! Bottom line-why would you have new employee orientation in a place that people are sitting and paying to have a meal? We couldn't even enjoy our food due to her being so loud-we couldn't even have a conversation at our own table! Why wouldn't you have a break room to conduct this in or somewhere that is not in the vicinity of Paying customers! We ate our salad/soup, a few bites of our meal and took it to go because it was just ridiculous having to listen to the loud new employee orientation. We go here at least once while I am in town. Olive Garden satisfies my palate with the various items to choose from. Literally I have a hard time choosing what I want to order. And you know I end up ordering from the healthier items. But drinking wine and eating desserts kind of balances the calories doesn't it? Anyway at this location I have had exemplary service and always a good chat with the waitress or waiter. I was in the mood for Olive Garden and I was pleased with my experience at this location. When we walked in, we put our name down because it was busy but we did not wait long at all. We were seated a table and our waitress came right over. We already knew what we wanted and I decided to order the endless soup, salad and breadsticks and I decided to go with the gnocchi soup. My husband ordered the chicken and broccoli alfredo. The breadsticks, salad and my soup came out fast. She offered parmesan cheese on our salad and in my soup. Everything tastes fresh and hot. Waited almost a hour for the worst food ever. Lots of employees standing around talking, and totally ignoring the fact that people came there to eat. Food was probably the worst food I've ever had. They had less than 10 tables seated. Absolutely the worst run restaurant in Pooler. Manager should be replaced immediately. Hire staff and pay them well. The family felt like some Italian food tonight so we were near by and decided to go since it's been a bit since we had eaten here. I'm glad we did it was good but the service was superb. I have seen some reviews and it is unfortunate those customers experienced that level of service. All I can say is our server tonight was very welcoming and attentive. She was so sweet and brought the kids some mint chocolates after the meal. I thought that was a nice touch and even had the kids guess what she had hiding in her hands. In todays rapid moving push customers through business environment, I can say this was refreshing to be so cared for with good food. I personally prefer the smaller mom and pop restaurants and typically avoid the chains, I am glad we went in tonight and I would recommend you drop in and hopefully you will get our server! I had the Seafood Alfredo and it was good some noodles were stuck together in clumps but over all not too bad the seafood was shrimp and scallops. The strawberry spritzer drink was great. My sons took me to Olive Garden for my Birthday and it will be my last time I ever go here! The food was good as always, but the service from our waitress and the manager was horrific. The only person who seemed to care was the shift lead. She was very apologetic about the way we were treated by the waitress and the manager! We went to Olive Garden so me and my family could have dinner before watching wicked at the IMAX theaters near by. The food cam out very late and the waiter was sassy. I ordered my regular fettuccini Alfredo with a salad, and they gave me tortellini instead of fettuccini. My parents had pasta and their food was cold. My sister had soup and it was also cold. We complained to the manager, explaining that we had a movie to go to and did not have much time. (Mind you we were here for an hour just trying to get food). The manager looked at my sister and laughed saying that was not her problem. They agreed to give a gift card for the inconvenience and gave us the food for takeout. We ran out so we could make it to the movie without missing the start. When I sat down and opened my Olive Garden it had tortelini again. Service was great! That is the reason for the 3 stars. The bathroom smelled like someone was decaying in it. The plexiglass partitions were covered in fingerprints. Although I have eaten at both in Pooler and Savannah, I have had up and down services at both. But Saturday, my wife and I went to the Pooler location for dinner. The wait was 30-35 minutes which was fine. They were busy. We were called shortly thereafter. We were seated and our waitress came over shortly later. We gave her our order and ordered a bottle of moscato wine. Salad and breadsticks arrived and the sticks were hot out of the oven....great. However our wine wasn't cooled as most white wines should be. We could tell she pulled it from the shelf, placed it in an ice bucket and gave it to us. We ended up putting ice cubes in our glasses and opened the wine and poured ( she didn't even do that ). Yep the wine was warm and not chilled as required. Finally, we get our food. It was quite evident she forgot it because the heating lamps had dried out the noodles on top, no steam coming off but it was still hot to a point, so we still ate our food. During eating, our server stopped to check and see what else we wanted. We ordered another breadsticks. By the time we had finished our meal, the breadsticks arrived cold and late. I get my usual Shrimp Scampi n thoroughly enjoy it. However I ordered my usual with soup. The wait time was supposed to be 25 mins. It actually took 40. I could have gotten over this knowing it was Saturday n a busy night. When I got home I was so looking forward to eating. The angel hair pasta was very overcooked n clumpy. Less shrimp that have given me before. Only thing nice was the tomatoes n asparagus pieces. A very disappointing experience.
