My Brother-in-law and I share the same birthday. We decided to get the whole family, nine of us, together for dinner to celebrate. I picked Carrabba's due to its proximity to all involved. I hadn't been there in years. To be honest, we all went in with expectations that while it probably won't be the best Italian meal, it would do for tonight. At the end of the night, I can tell you it far exceeded everyone's expectations. The food was very good! And the service was equally as good. The restaurant was very well staffed and they were very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our entrees ranged from Chicken Bryan, Rigatoni Al Forino, Tuscan Grilled Steak, to Lasagna. My lasagna was outstanding, one of the best restaurant lasagnas I've had. And I have had that dish in many "upscale" Italian restaurants. Since we weren't expecting such a good meal, I didn't plan a review and didn't take any photos before we started. Once I realized how much I enjoyed it, I took a photo of what was left of a very big portion. Visited Carrabba's Italian Grill after not going for over 10 years while in town on business. We were craving Italian and wanted something a step above Olive Garden, so we decided to give it another try. The warm bread with olive oil and spices was a great start--fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the beginning. We ordered the Tomato Caprese with fresh burrata and were disappointed. I expected it to come with toast or something to pair it with, but it lacked flavor and wasn't worth the price. For entrées, I ordered the Pasta Weesie and my husband had the pistachio-crusted trout. I misunderstood and expected chicken, but it comes with shrimp--so that part was on me. Still, the dish was overly creamy, heavy on green onions, and lacking flavor. It needed lemon and pepper just to make it enjoyable. The trout lost its crunch under the butter sauce, and for a $30 dish, it was pretty underwhelming. We were greeted upon entry and decided to sit in the bar area for Social Hour! My cousin and I have been waiting to try the Social Hour Specials for awhile and our schedules finally connected. We ordered the Shrimp Focaccia Bites, Calamari and the Calabrian Wings.The bartender was very attentive throughout our experience! The wings were hard and overcooked. We do not recommend. The Shrimp Focaccia Bites were tasty and the Calamari was our favorite out of the three! We later ordered the Crab Cakes and they were pretty good just cooked a little hard. We plan to return. It's going to be a Y-E-S every month for the wine tasting dinner event. The service is attentive and quick considering the large groups of people that attend. The food is outstanding and especially chef-curated for the event for many items that cannot be found on the regular menu. The wine is superb as they delightfully match with each of the courses. We tried this place years ago and found the performance to be OK at best. Underwhelming is perhaps, a more accurate characterization. After a hiatus of 10-years we thought we'd try it again. The service and food were again, underwhelming. Service: our waitress was busy trying to run around from table to table in between playing with her cell phone and socializing with other staff. Food: our entrees were cold in spots -- a dead giveaway they either sat under a heating lamp for a while or, they were microwaved unevenly. Regardless, our experience was negative. And to top it all off, we received a bill with the auto-calculation in the footer prompting us to leave a large tip. If I recall correctly, the tipping percentages began at 18%. Look, we all know the restaurant business is a tough grind for all employed. It's hard to be excellent across an entire staff of employees at a given location every hour of every day. Carrabba's is a restaurant that does not feel incredibly chain like. The food is always delicious. They have a great happy hour! It is from four to seven in the bar. You can get a variety of bites and charcuterie. Of course there is wine, draft beer, cocktails, and sangria pitchers too! My personal faves for the food here are the linguine positano and chicken bryan. The caesar dressing is homemade, it is yum. The bread is also made fresh daily. The tiramisu is my favorite dessert here. My husband loves the chocolate dream dessert. The family bundles are a good deal if you are having a party/gathering or a meal prepping. It all comes ready for you, just choose what you like. You can order online. The service can be spotty here. Sometimes it is excellent. At other times it can be lackluster. It truly depends on how busy they are I have found. Also if you are seated inside or picking up/carside. I visited this location with my uncle. It was lunch time and we were meeting up. He's a frequent customer so they knew him and greeted me with familiarity. Party of six; four adults and two teens. We arrived at about 6:30 on a Tuesday we were and seated right away. The restaurant was clean and probably less than half the tables were filled. The food (calamari, chicken trio, mezzaluna, and fettuccine Carrabba) was delicious; the service was awful. Our server barely came around and when he did finally show up and asked if we wanted drink refills, he didn't return with our refills for over 25 minutes. We made a online reservation, when we got there we was told our name was not list, so we had to wait a additional 20 mins. I have been to other Carrabba's and never had this problem before. I ordered curbside and I was very pleased with the packaging and the fact that they didn't forget anything. Someone else picked my order up and I called to let curbside know that they were waiting but she claimed she couldn't find my order. So I call back and the manager answers and magically he finds it with ease and it was already ready and waiting. I felt like the curbside woman didn't actually look for my order or else she would've found it as well. The salad was fresh and the bread as well. I always order the fettuccine weesie but this time it was a bit dry and almost flavorless. No wait on a Saturday... woohoo! My husband and I lucked out! The hostess was very friendly. Our server was very attentive! We use to dine at Carrabba's often, but they seemed to have a time period when things went downhill. GREAT NEWS - they're back to being awesome. The zucchini frites were delish. Now I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but there's something about Carrabba's that just feels like comfort. I'm always greeted as soon as I walk in and I typically go straight for the bar. On this visit I was accompanied by one other person so we went to the bar as the restaurant was pretty empty and we didn't plan on being too long. We were immediately greeted by Chris, the bartender. He brought out hot & fresh bread with Italian seasoning and olive oil. Shortly afterwards he brought out two glasses of water without us having to ask. After browsing the menu we decided on our meal. My date ordered the fettuccini weesi with the chicken soup as a side and I ordered the linguini pescatore. Both dishes were delicious & perfectly cooked. I've never had mussels before and I really enjoyed them. I also ordered a drink since we happened to come during happy hour. I asked for the sangria-rita but unfortunately they were out of the BlackBerry debris so I opted for the peach instead. Absolutely delicious. Definitely my new go to drink there. Overall our visit was great. I'm still not a big fan of chain restaurants but Carrabba's treated us right on our visit and I would not be opposed to coming back. read more

We loved our experience dining at Carrabba's today. We all enjoyed our appetizers and delicious entrees. I especially loved the bread and stuffed mushrooms. The lamb was grilled to perfection. I couldn't finish it all and will definitely enjoy leftovers. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. When we told our waitress it was our Mom's birthday, they came out with a delicious piece of cake and sang to her. It was early evening and not very crowded. First and last time there. Started off with my husband feeling things crawling on his legs when we sat down. Then we ordered mozzarella sticks that were very soggy and greasy. Our salads were completely flavorless. Tasted like water. We ordered the lobster ravioli for $25 and there was only 7 on the plate... it wasn't even well sauced. We also ordered linguine florentine chicken which is supposed to have grilled chicken but it looked colorless and bland. The chicken looked boiled. Carrabba's Italian Grill (CIG) has always been one of our go-tos in our extended family, as far as corporate chain restaurants go. My MIL is a super picky eater, but she enjoys CIG and it's seems to stay consistent. My husband and I happened to be in the area shopping, so we decided to pop in for a quick lunch while the kids were in school. - Parking - Private lot with ample space. - Vibe - I find this location to be quite large. To the right, there is a full bar, some high top tables and some booth seats by the windows. The kitchen is an open concept toward the very back of the restaurant, so you see all the action. There's a more intimate section to the left separated by a wall. Great for large groups. - Service - Chris took care of us and he's so nice, attentive and so polite. He checked on us often and we had everything we needed from start to finish. The proprietor of the restaurant was doing his rounds, stopping by each table. Most of the customers seemed like regulars. It's always nice that the owner is out on the floor showing his appreciation for the customer's business. A nice personal touch when chains are usually more known for a mechanical interaction. - Eats/Refreshments - Right after we ordered, Chris brought us hot, fresh bread with a plate of EVOO and herbs. I love when restaurants go that extra step and warm up the bread. Dangerous though, because I think my husband and I had a basket of bread each. So addicting! Eggplant Parmesan - I love eggplant (I love the Japanese eggplant even more), but always reluctant to order it in restaurants. It's such a peculiar vegetable, especially the regular, larger variety with a deep purple color. When cooked properly, it is so delicious, but if cooked wrong, it can turn a person off of it for life and how sad is that?! I took a risk ordering the Eggplant Parmesan, but I was craving it after I saw it on the menu. Glad to report, it was well prepared! There were about 5 eggplant slices which was lightly battered and each piece was soft and not spongey, with a good helping of sauce with melted cheese on top. I didn't realize that the entree also came with soup/salad as well as one side, so I chose Penne Pomodoro. The penne was al dente and was great. Once I found out that the soup and penne came with it, it was a better value than I thought. Pizza - my husband ordered this and he thought it was good. Sogno di Ciocolatta "Chocolate Dream" - I have been craving this dessert since the last time I had it which was back in October, so, yes, that's a long time! I would go to CIG just for this dessert alone. It's a fudge brownie (but I think it's more of a dense cake consistency) with some type of real whipped cream layer drizzled with chocolate sauce. I don't know what it is about this dessert that is so different from any other chocolate dessert, but it is SO GOOD! It's a generous piece. My husband said a few people could have shared it but I don't know what planet he's on, he's just lucky I shared LOL. - Kiddos - Pretty sure they have a kids menu, but I didn't check because, no kids on this visit. -Heads Up - Not sure how long this promo is going on for, but if you get an entree when dining in, you get any other entree to take home for $10. That's a . pretty good deal considering the portions. I think the promo is called Take Homemade. All in all, this location is consistent to the CIG brand and I'll definitely be back for that Chocolate Dessert and next time, no sharing! LOL read more

Just ate dinner here. The building was very clean and we were sat promptly. The server was very attentive and quick. The mozzarella sticks were good and had HUGE cheese pulls (extra stringy). The fettuccini Alfredo was decent, nothing extraordinary. The Veal Marsala was ok. I thought the Marsala sauce would be a Demi-glaze reduction but it came out to be more of a gravy texture and was just ok. The atmosphere is a bit more upscale than Olive Garden but still a very relaxed restaurant. Overall I found the food to be average. The complimentary bread was a light weight frozen bread dough with much flavor, except too much salt. FAVORITES - Calamari appetizer. It's always tender, and the tomatoes sauce is really good. - Chicken Bryan was good. Topped with goat cheese and lemon butter. TIPS - Take advantage of the wine dinners which happen about twice a month (two opportunities for same dinner). Includes different wine with each meal course.
