Came here for lunch with my parents prior to catching a movie at the nearby Regal Theater, and it was no wait to get a seat at 11:30am on a Sunday. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We really liked the outdoor seating - the decor was nice and it was all shaded, so we didn't overheat. We had the calamari to split as an appetizer - it had a nice batter and there was lemon already sprinkled on. We split two 3-kebab plates, which can be mixed in terms of your meat choices. I tried the beef, lamb, and chicken - I would say that the lamb was my favorite one. It comes with a side of two options - we had the fries, Mediterranean salad, hummus, and rice pilaf. The fries were particularly good. Our waitress was super friendly and prompt. Credit cards are accepted. There are vegetarian options. It's good for families and large groups. Beautiful and modern Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Brea. I love the decor and the patio area, even the bar is very nice. The food is really good too. Staff superb. Everyone will always make sure you're being taken care of. If they see your eye looking around for the waiter if you haven't been helped yet, someone will come to assist, even if it's not who will be waiting on you. Love that. To start off we always go with the calamari. It's served with a really good creamy lemon aioli. And with the entrees, I usually choose the beer battered fries as one of the sides. They are exceptional! So good you don't even need ketchup. There's a really good happy hour too weekdays from 2-5pm. And the baklava ice cream is the perfect dessert to finish your meal. Our friends visited Olive Pit Grill Brea few times and recommended to have the brunch here together. It's a Mediterranean restaurant located in Brea and has another branch in Huntington Beach. The restaurant is right next to a parking structure and it has the outside dinning area but since the weather was very hot so we decided to sit inside to cool off. We went in around 3pm on a Friday afternoon and tables were not full yet. We looked at the menu and ordered as follows. Homemade dipping sauce spicy cheese: This is delicious and not spicy at all. Salads village horiatiki is delicious. 2 Kabob Lamb: Fresh but honestly slightly overcooked. Sirloin Steak: my friend said it was not bad. Roasted half chicken: This is what I ordered + 2 side dishes (I chose mushrooms and potatoes). I read someone's reviews somewhere said that the chicken was too dry, but my order was just great. The roasted potatoes and mushrooms were tasted really delicious. The lamb chops have 5 small lamb chops + 2 side dishes. My friend shared 1 lamb chop with me and it tasted good. 2 cups of iced tea. The overall meal portion was pretty large and tasted all great. The atmosphere was warm with high ceiling lighting. The space is spacious and comfortable. There is a bartending area, and many people ordered cocktails so I assumed it might be really good. The waitress was also very attentive and friendly. We also ordered the falafel wrap and lamb burger which were both dry. Service was atrocious. This place had a great selection of food, and the three kabobs were well made! The thing that I personally really liked was how the hummus paired nicely with everything on the plate. This is a very good portion size for a fair price ($32), and the server is friendly and the service is quick. There's seating both indoors and outdoors which shortens wait times and adds to the convenience. There is free parking right by the restaurant as well, which is great. I came back to LA recently and I was taken to the Olive Pit. The food is absolutely exquisite! The citrus flavors are mouth watering and the ambiance is stunning yet subtle. I love this location specifically because the atmosphere, there's so many things to do in downtown Brea, and I always have a great experience with the food - the Rocka salad with chicken, feta fries, and pesto flatbread always makes my mouth do cartwheels! They had a small kinda self serve place in Brea by Walmart; it was fantastic then....now I've been to this Brea Blvd. Location maybe five times since they moved; wishing for a glimpse of its former fantastic self. So today we tried again, it wasn't crowded when we arrived, the man that seated us gave us a happy hour menu along with they're regular menu we were seated at 5:40, I had seen a billboard ad outside advertising happy hour till 6:00 M-F; when the waitress came around, she said happy hour ended at 5:00, as it was printed on the happy hour menu we were given when seated at 5:40; so I thought well maybe I saw tge billboard wrong, but NO it did say till 6:00!!! Anyway as if that's not all, I ordered the entree plate of lamb sausage with Batsami rice and green beans, here's my review of that- sausage was dry and overcooked, rice was a low grade Batsami , and green beans were tasteless, so so disappointed; I had my $16 dollar margarita which was billed on happy hour menu $10, I paid $16, as the Best in Brea, well not so it was in a small well glass, I'd say go to cha Cha's for the margarita, my rating would be average at best. read more

What a disappointment for lunch! The grilled salmon I ordered was so small it was the width of my fork and the had too many crunchy pieces in hit! My wife's rice had the same issue. For the love of Mediterranean food, I had to check this place out. Lucky for me, Olive Pit did not disappoint! Came here on a Friday evening with a party of four (let it be known they do not take reservations). Fortunately, there was no wait at 6 pm and we were seated immediately. What a cute little place! Very simple, and clean interior with friendly service. I did not find the restaurant to be too loud like the other reviews, but perhaps 6 pm is still early for a noisy crowd. We really enjoyed our food! Their octopus appetizer is so good! I like that you don't get just one tentacle, but the dish is shareable. Good Choice - But Bring Ear Plugs..... My wife and I were visiting family around Brea in the eastern suburbs of LA and needed a place for dinner. We all liked mediterranean food so they suggested the Olive Pit and off we went. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - The location is convenient to everything happening in downtown Brea.....which is quite a bit for a regular suburb. - Parking was easy. There's a big structure behind the Olive Pit building with lots of spaces.....and it's free! Every small city should have one. It encourages people to shop and spend money. - Of the 4 people at our table, 3 really enjoyed their meals. Mine was so-so (see below). - Our server was great and came by several times to check on things. All employees seemed to be smiling which is what you'd expect...except that's not the case in every restaurant. - The menu was large with lots of interesting choices for both meat and non-meat eaters. It's easy to mix and match many things. - The drink menu was really big with a long list of beers...many on tap. My wife and I each had Mythos in a bottle ($8). Cons: - I got the Mediterranean Salad ($13) with sliced Ahi Tuna ($14). The salad part was fine, but the tuna was cool and a bit slimy. Normally, Ahi on top of salad is warm and I can't wait to finish it. This time I left a few pieces on my plate. Minus 1 star. - The Olive Pit is large with a section closer to the bar and overhead TVs and lots of seating outside for warmer weather. But the overall feeling was just functional and LOUD. On a Thursday evening with occupant around 75%, I had trouble hearing people at my table. Minus 1 star. We might try the Olive Pit again, but next time we'll be sitting outside. read more

We chose to sit inside but there is also outdoor patio seating. This place was vibrantly lit with modern boho style lighting fixtures. We ordered the lamb sausage flatbread as an appetizer. It was so tasty I couldn't stop eating it! For entrees we selected the Moussaka and the plate with shrimp and lamb kabobs with potatoes and grilled vegetables.
