Found this place when I was in the area for an appointment and decided to check it out. I can't really rate this place on its service since I got my order to go but looks like there is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor too. Maybe it's pet friendly? I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, I decided to keep it pretty simple by getting the chicken plate and the chicken was grilled chicken tenders. Pretty similar to the way I cook them? Haha so I don't think it was anything special. The hummus was kind of sourrrr.....but pita bread was good and the green sauce on the chicken was good too. I personally don't think the plate is worth the price (~$25) so I don't think I'd come specifically back for that, instead I'd try something else. read more

I test every new Mediterranean place by their humus. So I ordered a a side of humus to go, which comes with pita bread. Shockingly, for $8, I got an amount of humus the size of a ketchup container from a fast food burger joint, with no lid and not even filled. It comes with some anorexic pita bread. The amount of humus didn't even cover two small pieces of pita. The humus itself was overly lemony with a bitter taste. Well, at least I can wipe this place off my list of Mediterranean restaurants. CHEAP MANAGEMENT? We took my mother-in-law here for her 65th bday, it was wonderful. Waitress was nice, food was good, and they gave her us amazing ice cream with a candle in it for the occasion. so... we decided to go back for my wife's 30th a few weeks later (we just had baby so it was a mellow one)... again, we told them of the occasion and at the end of our meal a random waitress brought a sad-looking pastry to our table with zero context to what it was. I actually told her we didn't order that. A few minutes later our waitress shows back up with it and says that is our birthday dish. no ice cream, no candle, and not enough to feed the newborn that came with us... ... I kindly asked for ice cream and told her about how amazing it was when we came a few weeks ago... she went to the back and minutes later came back saying that "they made a mistake last time and shouldn't have given us the ice cream" and that "we can have the pastry but we'd have to purchase ice cream..." most of us have worked in customer service and were appalled by this reply. Our bill was $150 dollars and a scoop of ice cream was too much to ask for? I'd never seen anything like this in terms... "you can buy the scoop?" lmao, okay thrifties... here's 5.64 for your scoop... Pictured below are the two deserts. We absolutely love coming to Olive Pit. We have been coming for an early dinner every Wednesday with my mom and my two kids for over 10 years. They love the healthy kids' meal options, and we love the fresh salads and delicious protein and dip options. We also always get a large family size avgolemono soup to share and have some leftovers to serve to the kids later for a quick week night meal, or actually we used to do this, until recently when we were informed by our regular server that this is no longer allowed. Even though we are loyal weekly customers who order many full size meals in addition to our soup, based on strict orders from the owners, the servers and the cooks are no longer allowed to bring out multiple bowls and spoons to share the family size soup. They told us we can still order the large size and just all eat out of the big to go container, and one server even suggested bringing our own bowls. This is such a ridiculous insult, considering the amount of money we have spent at this restaurant, for them to nickel and dime us and force us to choose between not ordering the soup at all or to order 4 individual bowls for $36 instead of getting the same amount of to go soup for $20. We have complained to several of our regular servers and even 2 of the managers at the HB location and they have all said they understand that this is a stupid new rule and they apologized for the inconvenience, they said they would bring us bowls if they were allowed. I really hope the owners will reconsider this illogical decision or we might have to find a new Wednesday night dinner place, even though my kids will be heartbroken because this was their favorite restaurant!!!!! read more

I got the calamari entree with hummus and potatoes. The calamari was perfect in every way, and even the dipping sauce was delicious. Food is good but way overpriced compared to other Mediterranean restaurants. Got a 1 steak kabob plate with rokka salad and grilled artichoke hearts. The kabob came with 3 pieces of steak, salad is delicious and huge portion and cost $21 + they ask for a tip. Went to luna grill recently and their TWO protein plate (chicken and gyro) was $16.79 and TON of protein. Place is nice inside but too expensive for what it is. read more

Driven by this place 100s of times and kept saying I'd try it sometime. Today was finally that sometime and oh my word was it delicious. I ordered a chicken kabob plate and a cup of soup. The chicken was tender and juicy with bits of char. So good!! The vegetables were flavorful and not oily. The rice was addicting. I swear I was try to get every last piece. The soup had lemon, chicken, and rice. It was light and satisfying. I could see myself ordering just the soup and some sides on a day I wasn't that hungry. Will I go back? Without a doubt! I used to lIke this place and because of one extremely rude manager I wont be going back. I was looking at their menu online and saw artichoke hearts sides posted for $7. I called them up and asked for 4 sides of artichoke hearts. When I arrive for pick up, the lady at the counter told me it would be $43. It was the manager named Samantha. I asked about the price discrepancy and she said that the prices posted online were wrong. I told her that was very misleading to the customer and asked if she would honor the prices I showed her from my phone that were posted online. She said no. It would have been one thing had she said no, but it is how she spoke to me that motivated me to write this review. From her very first sentence " prices online are wrong ", she was Immediately on the attack and was rude and aggressive in her demeanor and tone of voice. She carried on by saying that she does what the owners says not online and that she needs her job ... I was left really taken back by how she was responding to me. I didn't walk into the place making numbers of the top of my head. I got the prices that were written in black and white on the internet and she was given ME shit for trying to understand it. I truly could not have cared less about the money had she been apologetic and understand my confusion but her response was so uncalled for that even the server who handed me my order apologized on her behalf. When I asked Samantha who her boss was she said " look online" . From beginning to end Samantha was condescending, rude and dismissive and unfortunately for the establishment a VERY poor representation of their business. Went back to Olive Pit for lunch today. I was starving and really wanted a falafel. Ordered a small avgolemono soup,a falafel wrap and roasted artichokes as my side dish. First, the food was very good. I was quite pleased with the taste and appearance of everything I ordered. I was a bit taken aback by the price of my lunch, including drink and a 20% tip, $40.57. Wow. I definitely won't be doing this on the regular! It was still a nice experience with very good food. I noticed on my receipt at the bottom was a "Suggested additional tip" that listed +2%, +3%, etc. Not quite sure what this was supposed to be for since I had already tipped 20%. The expectation of a tip and the expected amount of said tip has gotten completely out of control, imo. Olive Pit is casual dining. You order at the counter and the server brings the food to your table. Drinks, condiments, extra napkins are all self serve. never been to an olive pit. stopped for lunch. had the lamb burger. now, I've always been a burger guy. i admire any place that can make a good burger, because it's easy to screw it up. this lamb burger was nothing less than fantastic. there's some heat in the meat, and the fig jam really makes the meal (despite that i don't like figs LOL). bun was perfectly grilled and remained crispy even though the burger is so juicy...and juicy is the watchword for this burger. it's delicious but it's a complete mess. get extra napkins. Garlic Parmesan fries - MOVE ASIDE and feta fries all 2022. They are lemon-y and creamy and they fry them in beer and they're crispy. Just get them. Don't hesitate. The Mediterranean salad with chicken - it's a knock out dish for me. The vegetables are marinated so they automatically have flavor. The chicken is grilled to perfection and juicy with pesto on it. After I paid, the woman helping me said, "Thank you," and walked away, leaving me to try to pick up the pizza box with my free hand. We met some friends there last night. The service was great. They had patience with us as we were a little slow in deciding what we wanted. Even the general manager came by and checked on us. The seating is comfortable and spread out enough that you don't feel like people are sitting on top of you. The entire place is very clean. They even offer outdoor seating w heaters. While, the price of food is going up everywhere. This is one of the few places of where I feel you still get your money's worth in the meal you ordered. For example, my husband ordered the lamb sausage entree and he ate it all. I ordered a chicken entree and I brought some of it home to eat the next day. I love how they have a nice selection on their small bites menus that you get to pick to go with your entree. read more

The food is incredible in my personal opinion. The service has been less than stellar both times I have been here initially, but they recognized it both times and was stellar after I had to ask about it. I waited about 10 minutes or so. Ambiance is bright and lively sat in the "bar area" all high tops. The dining area needs to elevate their seating, feels like a diner. Come for the food ....take out or a quick dinner out.
