Great food and service. Chose Olivia months in advance for a rather big birthday. Family from all over came in. Service was prompt and friendly, explanations detailed and server very knowledgeable and excited about the menu. Food all arrived in a timely manner and at the proper stages of the dining experience. Only docking a star because my squid ink pasta birthday dinner disappeared when a random employee came over (hadn't been to our table before) and asked if we wanted boxes. I said yes, but the food never made it back to me. I had less than half left, but I'm still trying to get over it. It was delicious, we had just ordered so many small plates and were planning on dessert so I was stuffed. I tried explaining to our server what happened but when he gave me that "oh yeah, that's probably gone" look, I decided not to push the issue. Amazing! The cocktail drinks were 10/10. I got the sea bass, the charcuterie board and the bruschetta and it was wonderful! Disclaimer: the bruschetta is made with grapes instead of tomatoes. We came to the restaurant because we had experienced the service and the menu at Cafe Ponte in Clearwater and were expecting a similar atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was not the case at Olivia's Restaurant in Tampa. The atmosphere is attractive but the level of noise is high. We came to celebrate my birthday but had difficulty hearing each other because of the noise. The menu was fair, the taste of the food mediocre, limited wine selection by the glass. We came especially because of the Ponte reputation for quality however we did not experience that at this restaurant. One and done as the old saying goes. read more

This was the first time we have been to this new place in Tampa. The corner where it is has had its share of flops. Olivia is the 3rd restaurant in that corner. The place is noisy. The menu? Not spectacular. My Orecciette pasta was great; nice flavors and good value for the money. My wife had the heirloom salad and a side of the mushroom panzanella. The side dish did not agree with her, and I thought it may have not been prepared thoroughly. The rest of the dishes in our table were ok. One person in our group ordered the aged strip steak, and it took a long time for it come, much later than the rest of the dishes. The wines? OOOOF!!! Waayyyyyy over priced! $86 for a bottle of Honig Cabernet that I can order at Ulele for $60? Give me a break! The "icing" on the cake was when we got the check. They stuck us with 20% tip because we were 6 people. The service DID NOT warrant 20% tip! No, not going back there nor will I recommend. Have at it Millenials! I stick with Mise en Place and Bern's. read more

I was visiting from out of town and family wanted to try Olivia as it recently opened. It was truly a wonderful evening and the food was amazing. The server was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and even made some suggestions that were perfect. Awesome wine selection. Always a nice touch when the manager, Chris, takes the time to stop by the table to make sure we were enjoying everything. My wife and I had an exceptional dinner experience last Saturday night at Olivia! This is an amazing restaurant! Arguably one of the best experiences in recent memory - atmosphere, drinks, food & service. My wife had had the "Apulia" cocktail but substituted vodka for tequila...I had the King Estate Inscription Pinot Noir...both excellent. For appetizers we started with Olives, Coccoli Fritto - basically they fry their fresh made pizza dough and serve it with stracchino cheese, fig jam, honey and prosciutto - it's de-constructed so u can avoid the prosciutto if you are a vegan. YUM! Also had the Burrata - served with crostini and a great arugula pesto...also YUM! For a main course my wife had linguini with clams and mussels, which was one of their specials that night - AMAZING. I had one of the best filet mignon's I have ever had (approx 8 ounces)...served over a shitake mousse and marsala truffle sauce - almost like a gravy - with shitake mushrooms and a singular grilled artichoke - Excellent! Service was exceptional, and food was prompt but not too prompt, despite being quite busy... Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend Olivia! read more

We went for brunch for the first time. It was Father's Day and busy but we had excellent service and the food was delicious!

Great atmosphere, quality food, and service is usually very good as well. We've been twice and thoroughly enjoy it overall. 2 things prevent the 5th star. First, both times we have been we have had a "normal" reservation time of between 7-8pm and both times they were sold out of all dinner specials which was very disappointing. Id like to see them figure out how to plan ahead better as you often have to book reservations a couple weeks ahead and its a bummer to look forward to the meal and have them always sold out of items. Secondly, the wine by the glass menu needs some work, there are only a handful and not that great. Other than those 2 things, a great choice. read more

Came to Olivia's for the very first time tonight with my wife, a couple friends. I heard it was good but good is an understatement ! The food was incredibly delicious, from the meatballs, the roasted oysters, calamari fritti and truffle fries as appetizers, then on to the supressata and honey & ham pizza, which better tasting pizza you will not find, absolutely delicious !! Then on to the main which was even more thrilling, the shrimp and scallops was superb as was the short ribs and rigatoni and the truffle mac & cheese. Then to the dessert which was just as amazing as everything else was, especially the apple caramel (can't quite remember the name) but it absolutely the best of the best ! But just as good as the food was, it was the excellent service from Rachel who from the very beginning took her time explaining to us the menu several times, as well as describe the the dishes in detail and giving us the best recommendations we could've asked for !! Oh, I almost forgot that my wife and friends enjoyed the drinks from the bar very much and I enjoyed my alcohol free beer (00) which was very cold but would've been better in a frosted glass. Not only will we return to Olivia's very soon but every time we go we will ask to be seated at one of Rachel's tables. She was aces all around ! Great food and service. Wahoo crudo yum. Their squid ink pasta is good but the ink is incorporated in the pasta making process so if you are expecting the actual squid ink as a sauce that it is not. Great food overall. Just note the covid restrictions are limited. Staff wears mask but no table distancing and no outdoor seating options. read more

I was beyond excited to try OLIVIA! Sadly, the desserts the best part of our meal. The pasta and pizza was alright, like you could eat it but you would not want it again. We ordered the gundi, mushroom pizza, margarita pizza, bucanti and a side of truffle fries for our entrees. Gundi was just gnocchi with butter and oil. The best part about the pizza was the crust. They forgot our truffle fries. The service was slow. The place is beautiful and our table was comfortable. We enjoyed the wine we ordered and the dessert. The Valet guys were wonderful. read more

Still great food, have been here at least 6 times. But I have to question the less than stellar wine list. We use to get a bottle of Schramsberg Sparkling Rose every meal ($90) and now there is not one decent sparkling wine available. This is South Tampa, and especially during the holidays, many people enjoy a nice sparkling wine other than a low-end Prosecco. I'm not sure what happened to the wine selection in the past few months, but please bring back some better ones. read more

We had high hopes for Olivia. We reserved for their opening night, anticipating greatness as we are huge fans of Cafe Ponte' and lovers of authentic Italian food. The place was beautiful inside and out and the service was fast, responsive and fantastic. The menu was well balanced with lots of options for healthy, indulgent, complex, simple. We didn't try the pizza but it looked really delicious. My husband and I both ordered pasta dishes with a plan to swap halfway through our meals so we could each have a taste of the two entrees featuring "homemade" pasta. While the homemade pasta was perfectly done, the sauces were a huge disappointment. And the serving sizes were relatively small. The very limited quantity of pasta was swimming in sauce in both entrees and the sauce was quite salty. The rigatoni with ragu was somewhat better than the buccatini, which was bitter and salty. However, our broccoli rabe side dish was fantastic. We mentioned to our server that authentic Italian cooking typically does not feature pasta drowning in an ocean of sauce. He pointed out that this is a "modern take on Italian." That's quite disappointing and we will stick with the old school Italian at Osteria Natalina, thank you very much. read more

Drove up from Sarasota especially to experience Olivia. It didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar and we were under the stewardship of Mike. He was both friendly and attentive. The food had a very eye pleasing presentation and was delicious. We'll be definitely be back! It was worth the drive. read more

Visiting the Tampa area for the first time. Olivia was the first restaurant we visited and there aren't enough good things to say about it. Despite it being later in the evening (9:30) and not having reservations, we were sat almost immediately. Our server, CHRIS, was by far the best server we've ever had at any restaurant. He was extremely knowledgeable of everything on the menu. He gave wonderful food recommendations from the appetizers to the entrees. The wagyu starter was phenomenal as well as the little cheese balls with the feta whip. They are to die for. The mini rigatoni was so good that we had to get a second order to go. I cannot express how sweet and genuine of a person our server Chris was. If you go, must ask for him!! read more
