Well... recently, I did a thing. We all have moments like that--life happens--but in this case, it was definitely one of the "not my finest" variety. While pulling into my daughter's and son-in-law's home, I misjudged the turn and hit the retaining wall on the right side of my newer car. The damage was pretty rough--the wheel, tire, front bumper, and right fender were all scraped up and banged around. Total hot mess, and completely my fault. Just one of those lapses in attention. Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to take the car straight to Olsen Brothers Auto Body while I was in the area. John, the estimator, was incredibly upfront. He said they weren't sure it was safe to drive and asked if I'd be okay leaving it so they could take a closer look. I really appreciated his honesty and the way he prioritized my safety and my family's. The very next day, they called with an update--no frame damage, nothing major structurally wrong--and said they could likely have it ready in about a week. I was already impressed by the quick turnaround and clear communication. Then today, I got another call--days earlier than expected--letting me know the car was ready for pickup. Honestly, what companies communicate like this anymore? Not only was the car finished ahead of schedule, but it also came in under the original estimate. They took incredible care of it--it looks amazing, like new again. I can't say enough about Mo and the entire team at Olsen Brothers. I was in a bind when my car's tail brake light needed urgent repair. Every other place I contacted required me to schedule an appointment, but Olson's Brothers were incredibly helpful. I called on a Saturday, explained my situation, and the gentleman on the phone was a and told me go bring in my car with the replacement piece I already had handy. While the repair required removing the tail light, which they couldn't do immediately, they assured me I could bring it in Monday morning. True to their word, John greeted me on Monday and quickly assigned someone to assist. The repair was completed within 15 minutes! To my surprise, John insisted on covering the cost as they truly just wanted to help. This experience was truly exceptional. Their genuine desire to help, even with a seemingly minor issue, is commendable. I'm incredibly grateful for their kindness and will be recommending their services to all my friends and family. Had my car pulled in for GEICO repair, took more than 30 days to repair it. Had a call on the 25th day saying that they repaired the wrong part and would need more time to fix it; yet on the last day of my rental reimbursement they called my and said that the vehicle has a worn down tire and I will have to fix it before I can get it back. Moreover the said that the worn tire has nothing to do with the accident so they said they would not pay for the rental car for the extended period of time. Makes me wonder why they had my car for over a month, did a whole car inspection and wheel alignment only to tell me that they found out my tire was torn on the last day? Quite a coincidence that they found out right when they said that they would need to pay for my rental vehicle for the extended period of time. read more

So I definitely thought it was odd that my car was now at the hair club located off of first street in sj. Drove in my rental to the location to find and watch it be driven back to the auto body shop. Owner was driving my car for personal use with my gas, my insurance, my car with a brand new engine. This body shop is extremely shady with their repairs. I was in an accident where my front wheel was damaged due to driving over a curb. This body shop had my car for a month. Like what other reviewers had reviewed, the work done was subpar. I noticed there were noises coming from the front wheel and asked them if they can take a look at it again. They simply sent me off saying there was nothing wrong with the car. Out of paranoid, I took my car to my dealership and attached photo is the inspection report from my dealership. They simply prove that this shop did not do what they were supposed to. Extremely unprofessional. I honestly don't know how life time warranty can be honored with this place if they don't know how to repair cars. O, wait, by the time you noticed your car is not repaired correctly, you might be dead in a preventable accident due to mechanical damage with your car. If one cannot properly repair the car, it is perfectly fine to notify customer and the insurance companies that one cannot perform the repair. Customer can then repair the car at another shop. I'm still without car after two months since I have to pay out of pocket to have my car properly repair. They can probably do simple body repair but definitely not mechanical. read more

This place has been my life saver for years. I can't believe I took so long to give my review. I had been coming to this place for years with different cars I owned and also recommend to all my family and friends here with no hesitation because I know they will be well taken care of. They had been in the business for long enough to know the ins and out of the cars and parts. When I had an accident in Berkeley, I paid $500 to get my car towed to Olson brothers in Milpitas because I know they will not only take care of my car but they will be honest with me about what is going on with the car. After covid, many suppliers have closed their shops. so it has become extremely hard to find parts anywhere, Olson brothers team went above and beyond to find me the parts I need and fix it. They always have said, any issues bring it back and that right there gives you a peace of mind. For one of the reviews that said she caught the owner driving- Please understand that they have to test drive the car to see if its working, they have to take it down to N.1st street to get the car tested and approved for alignment. They had my truck for one week. They work with AAA and they do perfunctory piece of work. Its cheap and done incorrectly. Don't waste your time and effort. (AAA loves them because there cheap and cut corners) They ordered a part for the truck and it was an incorrect part so they decided to use the old part and try to make it sound like it was a new part. John and Moe were absolute superstars. Went through insurance after my car was stolen and recovered. Bumper repainted and you truly can't tell it's been painted at all. Very responsive when I called to get updates and Moe usually stays til 7pm everyday so it's so helpful when you work too 5 and deal with traffic. Absolutely recommend. (They also have subcontractors that they used to replace a wheel, get an inspection, rekey car and detail it). I got in a major wreck. A friend of mind referred me to Olson Brother's Body Shop. I took my car in to get it fixed. I called and inquired about when the car was going to be finished? She told me that everything was done. All it needs is to be painted. She said, they were going to paint it on monday day. I told her that i didnt have a way to get to work and school. I needed to have the car asap. The secretary went to the manager and told him my situation. The manager personally came out and told me don't worry, I'll come in this weekend and have it finished by Sunday. I've always had a problem with my tires and windows until I came here. Sean made me feel like I was in the right hands from the start. Completely dismissive from the start when we dropped off our car the "owner" went to look at the wrong car from the start. After a month of eating for the repairs that were not completed we got the call to pick up the car. This is we're the issues began; the "owner" of the shop asks us of the repairs we're good I said no. The "owner" becomes irate and tried to attack me, the police had to be called for us to get our car back. The funny part he told us to "GO BACK TO MEXICO" because we were speaking Spanish, he also said we were trying to defraud the insurance. Disrespectful, unprofessional, and discriminatory is what this "owner" runs this shop on. Stay away from this place unless you want to be discriminated against and have the need for the police to show up just so you can pick up your car, also let's not forget you might get physically attacked by the "owner". read more

Horrible "repair" they tried scamming my mom telling her what they replaced but when I looked there was stuff from the collision they didn't even bother to replace they just left it like that. When my mom also got the car it was low on coolant and on top of that the radiator was still leaking nothing was replaced! Had to call the insurance because of how bad they were and when it was taken back to the shop they were yelling at my mom saying they did her a favor trying to repair it ! 0 STARS. PROBABLY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A BUSINESS. AND ILL TELL YOU WHY. I came here to pick up my sisters car after it had been in a crash. Denise, the nice lady that works in the front helped me out and told me to go check out the car to see if everything was okay. I went to go check on the car and noticed a lot of scuff marks on the newly replaced grille. I went back inside to tell her and she went ahead to call the manager Moe. I asked Moe if the grille had been replaced and he said yes so he then came outside with me to check it out. I showed him the scuff marks around the grille and said if it's replaced how come there are these marks and showed him that it wouldn't rub off. He then proceeded to tell me that they buy all their parts new so it probably came like that from the dealership. Then I asked him why they didn't check it out before they even put the part on. He told me that he was willing to call the dealership and order a new one to replace the part. But then it would take a couple more days to order the part and for it to be ready. I called up my sister to ask her if that was okay and she was wondering why they didn't check it before they told her it was ready. As I was talking over the phone with my sister, he overheard her saying what's the point of coming to a body shop if they don't check these things out. Their wasting our time. And overheard us talking and cussing. We waited over two weeks, delay after delay for this car so understand why we felt like this. This was a private phone call and none of this was said towards their face. Moe called one of his mechanics named Tom and when he came out he looked at the car and explained to me that those scuff marks were just from when they were installing the part. So he got some compound and was trying to rub off. When it rubbed off, this is where something happened that I'll never forget. Moe proceeded to yell at me saying, "You come to our business cussing at us when I already told you I'll replace it. You guys are lucky I replaced your parts with factory and not aftermarket parts when Triple A paid me for aftermarket parts. You need to grow up, you're a child. You're not a man, you will never be a man of you continue to act like this. Tell your sister to get a plane ticket and come pick it up tomorrow because I'm not releasing the car to you anymore. You have been rude ever since you came to drop off the car weeks ago." I'm using my time to go out of my way, to come here and pick up her car from a Triple A certified body shop. For him to tell me to leave because he didn't want to release the car to me because I was rude and questioning him is too crazy to hear. I can't make this stuff up, my sister heard every word that he said while she was still on the phone with me. At this point I was shocked to hear him say that. This guy already had a problem with me even before picking up the car because I was "rude" to one of his workers when I dropped the car off. Mind you, I don't even remember him being there when I was "rude" to one of his workers. That goes to show that they already knew who I was before I even told them my name because he remembered me being rude. For him to tell my sister to fly back here from Hawaii to pick up her car was the most idiotic things you can say. To a certain extent I have the right to be questionable and angry at them for not checking the parts and for them to give me incorrect info about the car. Who wouldn't be angry in this situation. To have this guy, the manager of the place talk like that to a customer is absurd. Thanks to Denise and especially Tom because he was acting like the true manager of this place. Although he was the mechanic, He told me if you find anymore things wrong with the replaced parts to come back and he'll call the manufacturer personally to get it replaced. I seriously don't recommend this place to anyone. Stay away and take your chances elsewhere. read more

All I have to say is stay away. TERRIBLE service! Worse experience I ever had when it comes to dealing with cars. They are rude, don't know wtf they're talking about, and leave you with nothing but confusion & a hard time!!! I always had to call them. Even when I gave my number to them because they asked & said they'll call me back when the guy comes back from break. Whole day passes, still never got a call. They're follow up process is terrible. I chose Olson Bros. based on the shop's close proximity to my work place as well as them being available on Saturdays. To say I'm pleased with my choice would be an understatement. Moe and Carlos took great care of all of my needs between the inspection appointment, drop off time, car rental & pick-up time. On top of my insurance claim, I asked if they would be willing to also replace my cracked windshield and burned-out fog light while my vehicle was being serviced. They were happy to oblige. Shortly after, I brought my Wife's car by so they could fix the trunk latch. As expected, they took care of everything within a short time. Olson Brother's is an excellent body shop. I went back there yesterday morning to pick up my car. I am absolutely speechless when I saw my car. It was essentially a brand new car both exterior and interior. The wheels were completely washed. They even replaced one of two front headlights. The only downside was that I was not updated on the work progress, which it appears on their survey. By the way, Olson Brother's is one of the AAA insurance body shops. Their staff was very professional. The receptionist was always super friendly and you could hear the smile in her voice when she called. They were kind enough to deal with the other parties insurance [they made the calls, talked to the other persons estimator and worked to get quick approvals]. They were also very accommodating and stayed open a little bit past hours in order to look at my car/let me pick up my car. During repairs, they had their staff call to leave me voicemails with updates on my car and its repairs. I dropped off my car Monday night and they were finished by Thursday. Olson Brother's Body was NEAR perfect. My only complaint was that in the process of getting a 2nd approval, they were not more proactive. They did place one call but did not follow up until I called them and asked them to do so. I am 100% sure that they would have followed up sooner or later and they are always so great to do as the customer asks but we live in a fast paced world!! TIME IS PRECIOUS! Their work wasn't quality, they told me I broke my bumper when I came in for a bumper repair but the repair they made wasn't professional or bond wasn't strong enough and ended up breaking off. Bad customer services they told me rental car was free ended up paying 400$ out of my pocket all bunch of lairs. Guy told me " Learn how to drive " and saying these irrelevant rude/mean comments. Moe was the guy who told me rental was free so be careful what he tells you. FYI: I wouldn't sign any rental agreement if i knew i was going to pay out of pocket since dealership had a free rental for me. And since insurance didn't cover it Moe kept telling me dealership has to pay for it as a cover up and since they didn't he left me with a debt to pay for and kept telling me don't worry every time I would speak to him. I had to pay out of pocket or it would of gone to collection. I pay full coverage wanted a new bumper from the beginning of the repair since I felt like this bumper wouldn't be safe and hold if it got into another accident. Also the worker/guy who told me "Learn how to drive" said these clips break every time, which we were talking about my brand new 2014 Subaru which is barely driven and the only clip that broke off was the clip they "FIXED" so i questioned him about it and he started giving me attitude and since he wasn't any help i left.
