Settled 2 claims. The establishment works directly with Farmers and other insurance agencies. You shouldn't have to pay anything other than your deductible. The repair was extensive and took 2-3 weeks. The shop went above and beyond to make sure all of the panels were replaced. There is a lifetime warranty on the paint. Took my 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance here through Tesla Insurance for repairs. I see lots of reviews here praise experience and customer service, but could not really find anything around the details of the actual craftsmanship. So I will focus on this here. My car got damaged during a low-speed impact with a leading car. My front bumper pushed inwards around the driver's side and cracked; the hood got slightly bent at the front and its hinges out of wack; left headlight slightly cracked; a radiator bracket cracked, a support bracket of windshield washer fluid reservoir cracked; left fender panel pushed in against driver's door left edge. Linda followed my case. She was always polite, receptive of my requests, extremely prompt in responding to my inquiries and sending me frequent status updates. She worked amazingly well with Tesla Insurance to get all OEM original parts: everything that was damaged, regardless of how bad, got removed and replaced with a brand new part. She didn't share photos of the repairs while they took place (I saw others commenting they did receive those) - but I didn't really mind: she kept me promptly informed every step of the way. Pickup exactly 2 weeks later. Awesome! When pick up day came, I was very happy with the cosmetic looks of my vehicle: paint matching on point, and despite them having to remove most of the front-end of my car as well as the driver door, not a single scratch, no panels misalignments. All screws were back, including the less visible ones (around wheels wells, under the lower lip of the bumper, etc). Way beyond Tesla Service Centers' own standards (which instead aren't great). Some people have mentioned in their reviews their car was given back to them fully charged, mine wasn't (21% left), but I didn't really mind it. It was downpouring rain when I picked up my car, so I couldn't do a thorough inspection right away. However, Linda told me I could come back if I ever saw anything off. The only negative was: despite me preemptively putting a seat protector on my white seats, the outer edge of the driver seat got stained dark (during repairs they moved the seat protector). Luckily something they clean up right away. The steering wheel was also a bit dirty, but I cleaned it up myself and wasn't a big deal (I had applied a wheel plastic protector, which got removed during the repairs). When the sun shined again, later that day, I did go on with my inspection. Just for reference, I am pretty anal about my car - I hand wash it myself only, it's in pristine new conditions, wheels never curbed, ceramic coated, PPF, etc...), and found some things not up to my standards: [*] paint on the upper bolt on each of the hinges of the driver door was partly stripped - this is expected to happen when shop needs to remove the door however I would have liked the bolts touched up with some paint. [*] some very small areas left unpained on underside of the hood around the two holes used to hang the hood during painting in the paint shop [*] large parts of the edges of the hood metal hinges left unpainted, with bare metal visible [*] fitting of the frunk plastic apron was off: only partly clipped in (unclipped on the left side, one of the clips fell off), and in part it was lifted upwards and resting on top of the cowl screen rubber gasket instead of under it. And a couple very minor scratches while installing it on adjacent black plastics of the frunk. [*] driver's door window made a slightly louder than usual thud when closing fully up. Going back to the shop, Linda acknowledged these and summoned one of the Owners who very kindly offered addressing them. I left the car back with them for about 30 hours and they fixed everything to perfection. Great! The Owner let me talk with one of his employees who had worked on my car to show my paint concerns, which I appreciated. However, the employee had quite bad manners and started off quite upset at me ("this is already the best we can do. You want it better? Pay $2,000 dollars, do it yourself or take the car to another shop"). I kept calm, and he finally stopped and acknowledged my paint concerns only when I kindly asked him to stop and listen to me and I asked him to open a frunk of another Model 3 in the shop and pointed to him that that other car had the same areas well painted, mine did not. When I got the car back, EVERYTHING was addressed to perfection, and I honestly was extremely happy with it. Dai assisted me with the pick up. I'm so glad I went to this shop because it was pretty close to my work. I called in to see if I can just come in to get a quote since my insurance couldn't find an appointment with their own shop around my work schedule. The staff were very accommodating and I was able to just come in right after work on a Thurs afternoon an hour before they closed. They were able to get me a quote within 15 mins. Jose helped me through out the whole process. He was very professional, helpful, and kept me updated through out the whole process. I didn't have to worry about what was going on because I received frequent updates while my car was in the shop. I like that the front desk were straight forward but also professional, which I prefer over staff who sugar coat things. I was glad that they work with Enterprise on Kerly because I was able to get picked up through their shuttle to get my rental car. When it was time to pick up my car, I was able to leave the rental at the shop and Enterprise will pick up their rental car. I'm not sure if other shops do this since this was my first time getting my car fixed at a collision shop but that was a very nice aspect. The shop also offered to wash my car, which they also did a great job on! It looks just like new! Overall, I would recommend this shop to anyone. I would just make sure your insurance covers them. Originally a 2 week timeframe but parts were available and weather was good, just 5 days in the shop. Nice that they also called car rental when I dropped the Tesla for repair. I do not have enough good things to say about Dai and his team. Seriously, they are incredible. It is already painful enough having to get your car repaired in the first place, but Xcel Collision made it as painless as can be! My 2022 Tesla Model 3 was hit 2 separate times in different places within the span of a week and Xcel was able to fit me in for an estimate about a week and a half after it occurred (fairly quick compared to the Tesla repair center - don't go there please). Within a day they had their first estimate figured out and they dealt with my insurance company from there. What's more, Dai would actually send me pictures of the vehicle as it underwent its repairs and provide timely updates for the service which I thoroughly appreciated. What other repair shop will send pictures of a vehicle being repaired? None to my knowledge. On top of everything else, they worked it out where I could just drop my rental car off with them and they took care of the return. I had Emily Nguyen and she was very responsive, transparent, and incredibly detail oriented in noticing damages on the car and the rear. I dropped off Monday and picked it up same week Friday, and received text message photo updates throughout. They left the car in essentially factory new condition and they are an amazing value bang for your buck. I would highly recommend them. This is the second time that I have come here, both times to have a Tesla Model S looked at. The first time, they quickly saw me on a Friday after truck sideswiped me. Unfortunately the damage estimate wound up with the vehicle being totaled. The second time was a deer hit. The insurance company took a few looks at the pictures and gave a rough estimate of $5-7K but it's a Tesla, right? This resulted in well over $20K in damages and of course a few weeks of waiting. The delays were predominantly waiting for parts such as the windshield. All along the way they (shout out to Emily!) kept me apprised of where we were at and sent me pics of the vehicle in various states of disassembly. For those technically inclined, it's a unique experience to see the near entire front clip torn down and pictures to prove it. When it was all done, they took care of the communication with the insurance company and finalized the bill. I just came in for the final payment, being my deductible and signature. Xcel is top notch. They warranty their work and their customer service is off the chart. Dai took excellent care of me and helped me lower the original quote since I wasn't using insurance. I had a huge gouge in my door and they did metal work and repainted the door, plus blended the nearby doors. The doors honestly look better than what I purchased the vehicle! They also apply their paint better than Tesla. While they do use OEM paint, the way they apply it along with the clear coat they use makes the paint last way longer. I believe they also add anti-rust/corrosive agents as well. Not to mention they detailed the car before returning it to me! My car was pretty filthy from visiting Yosemite since it was snowing, and they gave it back to me in pristine condition. === Best Part of Review {READ THIS} === My car also had an issue where one of the autopilot cameras was malfunctioning. I never even told them about the issue, but they fixed it for FREE because they had a spare camera laying around. What kind of place fixes stuff for free!? That's the best customer service I've ever had!!! Tesla had me waiting 4 MONTHS to get that issue looked into, and Dai and his team noticed the problem and surprised me with it fixed when I picked up the vehicle!
