My visits here are at breakfast time. They're quick in getting the food out to you, and the food is just okay. I would frequently visit when I lived in Boca Raton. My favorite option are pancakes, but on my most recent visit I ordered a cheese omelette with rye toast. Again, it was okay. I was in and out in a matter of 15 minutes. They turn 'em and burn 'em. read more

My boss dragged me out to "lunch" even though she wanted breakfast. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast so the diner was a perfect choice to satisfy both of our wants. She and 2 other coworkers ordered breakfast and I settled on the medium Greek salad ($8) minus the anchovies and peppers. The salad was a good size, perfect amount of dressing but I felt something was missing. It wasn't until the end that I realized they also left off the olives. Friendly old school Greek diner like you might find in Brooklyn/Queens/NJ. As one might expect there are Athenian specialties on the menu, we came for brunch while condo searching for the MIL. Had the Greek Omelette with Gyro, fresh tomato subbed for toast and potatoes, nice job on the crisping of the meat, eggs cooked perfectly. Ordered bowl of chili, generous and tasty portion. Nice and attentive wait staff. Food came quickly. On a successive visit we came for an early dinner on a Sunday, my wife and I shared a chili, a moussaka and a Greek salad. Chili was good as usual, moussaka was a nice sized portion with only a thin layer of potato and eggplant with a lot of meat and bechemel (which is how we like it) however it tasted a bit dry with a strong clove flavor. Salad was over dressed and greens were wilty and steamed mixed veg was clearly out of a frozen bag. I would say stick to the simple stuff like the breakfast items, and the sandwiches. Can't go wrong with the omelette and chili l. We still like the place for its classic diner atmosphere, next time we'll try a burger. read more

Absolutely classic all American diner. Bright, clean and cheery on the inside. The waitresses wear all-white uniforms like from the 1960's. And they know their customers by name, those they don't get a gentle, "what would you like Hun" to make everyone feel warm and welcomed. The grill cheese and meat loaf are all great throwback items among many on the menu. Well above average are their soups which look and taste like Home Made. Close to me but I usually eat breakfast in. Today we tried it for a late breakfast and really liked it. I had the corned beef hash with eggs, home fries and a toasted bialy. My wife had a "Spartan" omelette (feta, tomato and onion) with the same home fries and bialy. Coffee was good too. Very disappointing dinner experience here at Olympia. Nothing is special about it from the minute you walk in. Old, outdated diner that needs an overhaul on the decor. The server was not very friendly from the get-go and really seemed like she could care less about helping us, nor did she want to be there. The menu was both underwhelming and overpriced. I considered getting the greek souvlaki dinner, but at $15, seemed a bit steep for some chicken and rice. The greek diner in my hometown charges $9 for the same meal and it's actually good. Anyhow I decided to get a french dip sandwich for myself and spaghetti marinara kids meal for my daughter. It was quite disappointing that they didn't have any options besides regular spaghetti noodles (no penne, rigatoni, etc) and the only sauce option was regular marinara with no meat. $6 for a kids plate of spaghetti and jarred tomato sauce seems excessive. My meal was extremely bland and boring. Everything seemed like it arrives at the restaurant in frozen form and is simply microwaved upon ordering. The meat on the sandwich was very plain and dry. I had to add salt, and all the au jus sauce in the world wouldn't have helped. I had to force myself to eat half of it, and let my boyfriend finish the other half. At no point did the server check up on us, bring more drinks or ask how we were doing. Again, a very lackadaisical attitude. Nobody else in our party was impressed with the place here. Don't be fooled by the overall 3.5 star rating here, it's definitely NOT worth anywhere near that much. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I wouldn't come back. read more

I grew up in Queens, New York, where Greek diners were everywhere. I grew to love them. Olympia is run by a Greek family, everyone is nice, service was good. I had a bacon turkey club on white toast, which was very good. I've been out of the country for about a year and this diner felt like home. Very enjoyable experience, good service and good sandwich! I am new to the area. I was excited to try this place. The hostess immediately seemed annoyed when our party of 4 arrived. She told us it will be a 10 minute wait in a nasty attitude. We waited and no problem. When we were seated, we were greeted by the waitress who seemed to be drinking the same kool-aid as the hostess. NASTY!! Went here for the first time today and the service was absolutely terrible. Server never asked if we needed a refill, never gave us napkins or syrup, and never stopped by our table. Sat there the entire time with an empty cup. Had to walk to the host stand to get my check and then the owner decided to hassle me about my check and tip. Really terrible considering the food wasn't bad but won't be back due to the terrible service and unprofessional owner. I'd recommend spending you money elsewhere so many other places that are much more friendly/professional and less expensive. read more

Great start to Memorial Day at the Olympia Diner, hometown favorite here in Deerfield Beach. I began with a solid cup of coffee and a double grilled corn muffin with butter, which I definitely should not be eating but saved it for this cheat day as it was well worth it. "One of the Best Breakfasts Anywhere" I had the pleasure of eating at the Olympia Flame Diner. They are great for any meal, but I had breakfast there this time. Right now they are not open for dinner (COVID), but they offer the huge assortment of breakfast, lunch and dinner options until 2pm. The selection includes creamed chipped beef, biscuits and gravy, large pancakes, waffles, awesome omelette selections, eggs benedict, and so much more. It has charming home style decor with a series of booths and tables all set up for our comfort and safety. The incredible scratch made food and the way they take care of the customers during this difficult time is refreshing. A generous portion of mild tasting Gyro meat served in a fresh pita with a delicious to tzatziki sauce. The hollandais sauce had no flavor. The home fries were served in a small dish (four bites and they were gone). For the price paid the food quality should have been much higher. The service was okay. Being from NJ, the capital of Greek Diners, it becomes more difficult to find a great diner like this in Florida, but I did! To start, as soon as someone steps foot into this diner, you quickly feel welcomed by the staff, making them feel right in there own kitchen. The atmosphere presents a very old, great American style diner with Greek taste. As you experience the sensational food and beverage options, you quickly feel compelled to return to this place. Service here is pretty good. Food here is alright, it's a typical diner. I ordered the vegetable pita which is simply sautéed veggies in a pita. I think it's the only vegan option on the menu and not worth the price at all. My boyfriend ordered a burger which he said was pretty good. If you're in the service industry you need to be pleasant. Unfortunately we didn't find that this morning with our server. Got there early, sat in a booth and our waitress didn't say a word she didn't need to. Only two other tables and we waited awhile before she got to us. It's breakfast - you'd think the first thing we may want is coffee. I could go on but at the end of the meal you almost felt sorry for her she was so miserable. The meal was breakfast not too much you can do wrong. The bacon was a bit undercooked and the potatoes were greasy. But the eggs were cooked perfectly. Looking for something different for lunch in Deerfield one day, I happened upon the Olympia Flame Diner and was glad I did. The place is clean, the service is decent and the food -- at least what I ordered -- is pretty good. Since it's a Greek place, I had to go with the Greek Combo: half-orders of their moussaka, pastitsio and spinach pie (spanakopita), but collectively, it was a gluttonous amount of food. The moussaka was my fave, but could've benefitted from thicker slices of eggplant. I dug the tiny hint of cinnamon in the meat sauce. The pastitsio was equally good, despite the macaroni being a little soft. The spinach pie was my least favorite of the trio, but it was still tasty and nicely offset the heaviness of its companions. The meal even came with Greek salad which was complete overkill, but of course, I ate the whole damned thing. I recommend this dish -- and this diner -- whole-heartedly (stomachly?). Just remember to bring a healthy appetite if you're gonna go Greek. read more

When craving a yummy breakfast we always come to Olympia. On the weekends this place can get very crowded but we have been lucky and every time we come here we get a table fast. Service is great and quick. The place itself is small but cozy. The staff are always on top of things. Very clean place as well. You have to try the fresh squeezed orange juice!! I either order a omelet or the Olympia 2-2-2. My favorite omelet is the Olympia Frittata without onions. The combination of potato, Italian sausage and peppers are delicious. You can also choose toast, English muffin, or bagel and home fries or oatmeal or grits. I love the home fries so they are always my pick and with wheat toast. The Olympia is a lighter choice. It comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, and 2 delicious pancakes. The waiters have always been very nice and attentive here. It is always a great experience. I will definitely be back again.
