When I walked in, I wanted to buy some pastries but the place looks run down and they didn't have much on display. They only had 2 cakes on display. I brought cash, since I read the most recent review before I got there and ended up spending more than I had in cash...also because I probably shouldn't have gone to Super A and spent part of my cash there. But anyway, I bought the Black Forest cake and it was $23. The last review I read, which was only less than 2 months ago, stated the minimum to charge is $20. So I wanted to charge it, and the lady tells me the minimum is $25 to charge. I wonder if I had gotten something for $16, would she tell me the minimum to charge is $20? So I buy a tiger roll for $8. They are very nice people but I expected to see more on the shelves in a bakery. I don't like how the minimum to charge is $25, I mean at a bakery? Really? What if someone just came in to buy a few breads and pastries and spent a little over $10? Do they really have to find $15 more worth of bread? I don't know...I can't remember how other bakeries are but this particularly annoyed me. We celebrated the next day and when I took the cake out the juice from the strawberry gel leaked. I've never seen fruit do that on any other cakes I've ever bought. It didn't look presentable for photographs so I had to add my own fruit. The cake was moist but there was A LOT of cream, not much cake. Although I sorta liked the jelly texture on the inside. But waaaay too much cream. I don't know if I'll come back to this bakery.
