At first glance, this looks like a 100 year old dive bar. From the narrow restaurant/pool hall entrance to the side, "bar" entrance - this place is stuck in 1903 - and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The pool/bocce hall is awesome - large, open, airy, with a beautiful sunlight/atrium thing going on in the middle (see pic); the bar food is, well, bar food - we got salads that were hearty and delicious, I especially loved that the chicken and boiled egg on my salad were warm. Hummus starter and kid mac & cheese rounded out the food. But the reason we found this place was because of the beer - it's called McMenamins and from the IPA, winter ale, all the way down to their lager - they are all delicious. A smart guy always keeps an empty growler in his car for these occasions and this one was right on the money. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because it felt like it hadn't been dusted since 1903 (slight exaggeration). Oh and for the dudes - you have to check out the original urinals - they are unreal. read more

Bartenders are hilarious :) we'd never been to centrailia before and if it wasn't for this Mcmenamins location we would probably never consider coming back, there's not much to do in this small town entertainment wise, so it was nice to have a cool spot to stay the night and have some fun read more

The food was good. Service was good. Par for the course for a Mcmenamins. We did have 2 entrees we had not seen offered...an West African bowl & Jamaican bowl, both were very good. The game room in back was enjoyable with several pool tables and a couple shuffleboard tables. Wouldn't mind coming back.& staying a night and catching a m ovie in their theater. Overall pretty good but overpriced in my opinion. They do have a growler fill special on Mondays for $8 read more

I love coming here. Their ruby beer is my favorite, and the rubinator is great also. As per usual with any McMennimans, they have a fun and funky vibe, a $4 theater, and delicious food. If it's nice out, the back patio is a great place to hang, and they have heat lamps for when it get cool out. The New Tourist bar is attached as well, if you want a more secluded place to eat/drink. Cajun tots, sweet potato fries with their spicy sauce, sliders, soup.. Everything I've had here I have loved. read more

I was there New Year's Eve for an early dinner with a party of 6. The menu is very inviting and all the entrees sound delicious. I ordered the Smokin Cubano sandwich and it came looking like someone stepped on it with a boot, it was flat with little meat that was so dry and I am not sure what else was in it since it was smashed down. It was god awful! The rest of my party was disappointed in their burgers, no flavor at all. Not sure I will go back there to eat at all again. I felt like I threw away a $100 bill for gross food and I am not happy about that. read more

I came here for breakfast on Easter Sunday with my family and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had a greyhound to start with which is fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and vodka (very tasty) while my family all enjoyed bloody marys. I had the Olympic club scramble with hashbrowns and sour dough toast and jam. The scramble had spinach, tomato, bacon, and tillamook white cheddar which gave it a great tang that balanced the other ingredients well. Everything was great and I cleaned my plate. This historic old gentleman's club is such a neat building. I will definitely come again when I'm in town. read more

Love the McMenamins in Bend but this place was awful. We sat at the bar and waited 15 mins for someone to notice us then 2 people sat down after us and got served right away. I don't mind waiting if it's busy but I do mind being ignored when someone else gets served well before I have been waiting for service. read more

We had a great experience here! We sat at a table in the bar area. We ordered their bbq chicken pizza followed by a few happy hour beers. The food was delicious. And our server Justin was awesome! McMenamins have intrigued me for quite some time. My wife and I ventured there for a couple of reasons and the Historic feel immediately made me feel excited, The staff was very accommodating the bartender recommended a flight of beers to get a better sense of the variety offered. I was very impressed. The menu is accommodating to all. I have booked a room for our sons and his fiance rehearsal dinner. We were booking a place across the street but Mcmenamins kept giving us reasons to book with them. I will follow up after the event. But the restaurant is very good. I now want to join their passport club and visit every site. read more

Unfortunately we've had to endure an incredibly rude waitress here- TWICE! We love the food and atmosphere but the waitress has ruined this place for us. To top off the crappy service, we overheard the waitress (we weren't eavesdropping, she was just obnoxiously loud) berating the cook to the adjacent table. The waitress felt like the omelette didn't look good enough in her opinion- the customer didn't even have his meal yet. She told the customer that if he didn't think it looked perfect when it came out of the kitchen then the next meal was free and she assured him it would be perfect the next time. The cook even came out to apologize and the customer was not even bothered by the omelette deemed imperfect by the nasty waitress. The last thing we want at a meal is to have to overhear the drama created by waitstaff- especially rude ones. Such a weird experience... read more

Big Mistake!!! The blonde waitress we had couldn't be bothered with us. She came over to take our drink order, never introduced herself, so I couldn't tell you what her name was. We were ready to order everything when she did come, but she seemed pissed that we wanted to order it all then. There was a large party with a guy waiter next to us that was really loud, but Saturday night, I understand. He spent time making sure that they had everything they needed, ours not so much. We were celebrating my daughter's 22nd birthday, but her drink was the only one that had alcohol in it, since her sister doesn't drink and I was driving. She didn't like it the drink, but the waitress never bothered to come check on us after we got the food, so she couldn't have gotten a different one if she wanted to. I ordered iced tea, she brought me Splenda, no sugar. I asked for sugar so she took the Splenda with her an brought me 2 sugar packets and nothing to stir the sugar in. It could have used another sugar, but we didn't get any. The guys in the kitchen greeted us when we came and left. Nice guys. Made us feel welcome. The food wasn't that great, the fish was way overcooked and the fries were soggy. They had that weird old oil taste. After we finished eating we ended up sitting there waiting for her to bring the bill. I saw her check on all of her other tables a couple times, only thing we got was glared at. We waited almost 30 minutes for her to bring the bill and nothing. It didn't seem super busy at the time since most of the tables upstairs were empty and our waitress stood around after she checked on all the tables around us. I got tired of waiting so I asked the waiter from the big party, who had time to run all 12 of their cards, take and bring them dessert and more drinks while we were waiting for ours to even bother with us, for our check. We ended up asking for and settling up our bill with him. We walked past her when we left and she glared at us a little more. I used to work in the service industry, so I know that tips matter. I'm usually good about leaving about 25% having been in their shoes, but we left this time with only leaving 75 cents and that was just to round up the bill. We won't be going back. read more

Nice little quaint pub I came in around dinner, no reservations, and it was on first come first serve basis. This is a dinner and movie place as well as pub. I ordered the buffalo wings, they were well seasoned but the sauce given was a little bland. The service is also decent depending on who's serving you. I'd come back next time to try the dinner and movie. My friends who live in the area said this place has good food and it's fun to eat in, so I'm open to trying other things on the menu when I come back during another visit to Chehalis, WA. The food here is fairly good but the service today was not the best. Our server had a positive attitude but tended to forget items we asked for. Overall the food was very slow to come from the kitchen as well. At the end we found out our server was new so I give her points for trying.
