My sweet angel Zeus, RIP my baby boy
    Jaden S.

Came here for the first time after my cat was diagnosed with FIV, and after being disappointed with the other place we took him to. Sadly, our second visit ended up with us having to let my boy go after a significant decline in health. Dr Sarah was amazing and did every test possible to try and see what was wrong, even offered to try and stay with him after hours and see if he would finally come to after sedation. After coming to the conclusion that he wouldn't, and it would be best to let him go, we did and they did the process after business hours (which i'm super grateful for because I was hysterical) I couldn't be more appreciative for the compassion and kindness of the entire staff here. They 100% have my loyalty for the long run!

Lola is 1.5 years old and is happy and healthy.

I am so happy that I transferred my 1.5 year old cat to this veterinary clinic. Everyone was kind and professional. Dr. Kathryn Mangan was great, did a thorough examination, and administered Lola's vaccines. Thank you so much!

Everything from scheduling, front desk staff, vet techs, vets, email communication and care for our pets has been wonderful. We have a younger dog who requires little care beyond vaccines and check ups; he thinks going here is like going to the greatest dog camp ever and that he is the main attraction/celebrity! Treats and pets in abundance. Our older guy has had some recent cancer treatment for lymphoma (the tougher kind) so we got some initial info here then they recommended us out as we needed a higher and more specialized level of care and treatment (multi-phased chemotherapy). It's also a good time to note that we use Trupanion pet insurance and do recommend that too; it helps us take finances mostly out of the equation when we need treatment for unpredictable accidents and illnesses for our fur babies. Normandy AH is a solid choice for your pet care needs!

Rascal had a open wound for over a year which finally got infected, I was thinking about putting her down as she is 13 years old but my buddy her guardian angel said he'd pay half which I declined but took her in to get treated . I really wasn't into paying for a third operation, but it was well worth it. She's so happy now and I'm so glad to see her that way. Thank you Normandy Hospital and the staff that works there a big 2 thumbs Up

She refused to talk to us or make eye contact, answering a phone call as soon as we walked in. We were trying to see if we could drop off two stray kittens here, and if not, if we could be pointed in the right direction. Someone else steps in and asks the people behind the desk why they weren't helping, they just shrugged and pointed to the woman making a phone call. This person gave us advice, thankfully, but told us that since we took the kitties in, we've "assumed care of them" and need to pay a fee to surrender them. These aren't our cats, so we didn't do that. They told us to go to Seattle Animal Shelter. This was a frustrating experience since we really would love for these kitties to go to a loving home. We thought a place called BurienCARES would be a lot more helpful, but instead we were met with discrimination. I talked to somebody else who had a similar experience trying to drop off a stray kitten, but was treated with sharpness and judgement. ALSO -- I recommend giving the article about this place on B-Town Blog a read. It's called "Claws come out over Burien CARES as city council debate deepens" written by Mellow Detray.

I tend to believe that people who animals are wonderful and I'm sure these people are. We adopted a young cat. They said it was a year old. It turned out to be much younger. Maybe they need more help or a marketing person. If they could get a handle on the smell. I'd be game to help. Thank you for all you do. Miz Kilmousky

Instead, the manager was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional and told me (incorrectly) that I shouldn't have received the discounts that they promise through their partnership with Seattle Humane. VCA hospitals are known for being rude and a poor place for treatment, and that was exactly my experience. I adopted a kitten from Seattle Humane, and she had an ear infection. Seattle Humane and VCA Hospitals partner, so that your first examination of an adopted pet is free, and you get $250 toward treating a variety of health issues that they might come with, like an ear infection. During my initial visit, I asked many times for the tech to show me how to apply the ear ointment, but she wouldn't actually show me how much to use (she kept saying "just a squeeze") but she did hold up the tube to show me where to administer it. When I came back 3 weeks later, the kitten still had the ear infection. This time I had a different vet tech who ACTUALLY showed me how to use the ointment and how much to use. I learned that the first person had taught me the WRONG place to add the ointment. She showed me how to massage the ear to make sure the ointment got deep in there, which the initial vet tech taught me incorrectly as well. I also realized I had not been using NEARLY enough in my initial 2 weeks of treatment, since the first vet tech wouldn't show me. I was pretty annoyed at this point, because this poor little kitten had on ongoing ear infection because the first vet tech wouldn't actually show me how to treat it, and what she did tell me was wrong. In addition, now I have to come in for a THIRD appointment and pay ANOTHER $175 for an ear exam and cytology to check if the infection is gone. And I need to pay another $50 for another bottle of ointment. I asked if I could potentially get a discount on that third appointment, since it was their fault for not answering my questions and teaching me how to use the ointment the first time. The manager came out, and, instead of apologizing to me for their neglect, she said she was appalled at how much they had discounted off my initial appointment. I told her I adopted the kitten from Seattle Humane, so the first exam is covered and another $250 toward any health issues. She said, "yeah, but they covered the ear cleaning and they shouldn't have". I said, "I figured they covered it because it was important in helping clear the infection. But even if they hadn't covered that, I am still back here today spending another $175 on the infection. If they didn't cover the cleaning, they would have covered that same amount today anyway, until I hit the $250". She said, "Ugh. Well, I guess we can give you 10% off the exam next time. We've already given you more discounts than we should have". Which is not true at all! I got ONLY the discounts I was promised! If they are going to get this annoyed about giving people their promised discounts, maybe they shouldn't partner with Seattle Humane and offer these discounts in the first place! So I got no apology from the manager, and instead she found something else to be rude to me about that was completely unjustified. I would steer clear of these disrespectful people with unqualified vet techs. I went to a different vet for my third follow up appointment, and they were shocked that VCA didn't send me home with ear cleaning solution and teach me to clean her ears, since that is important for helping clear up infections.
