I came here with a friend for a late lunch on a weekday. It's a smallish place but as it was a little later than normal for lunch we had no problems getting a table. This is a Vietnamese/Peruvian fusion restaurant with some interesting items on the menu. We ordered crispy eggrolls as an appetizer and I ordered the lomo saltado as my main dish. The eggrolls came out first and a few minutes later my friend's lunch came out and mine about five minutes after that. The timing was a bit off. The eggrolls were very good, filled with ground pork, mushrooms, carrots, taro, and glass noodles. My lomo saltado consisted of plentiful pieces of tender filet mignon, red onion, tomato, and french fries. It normally comes with bell peppers too but I asked not to have those added as I'm not a fan. The beef was excellent quality and the chunks of tomato were juicy and flavorful. The crinkle fries were covered in a sauce which had hardened and made them delightfully crisp. It was a unique spin on traditional lomo saltado while not straying too far from the spirit of the legendary Peruvian dish. Located in the same plaza as EOS fitness center! My boyfriend happened to spot this in the corner and was curious so after our gym session we went to check it out! Such a nice surprise to find a asian fusion restaurant! The ambiance was very cute and cozy but not so much space to dine in so expect it to get pretty busy! The service was amazing for how busy it was though! Two servers were running and clearing tables and doing their best to communicate to the dine in customers. Our server was sweet and made sure to check in on our table after situating the rush. It was our first time here and I ordered the combination pho, cucumber salad, while my bf got the nui xào bò (macaroni filet mignon) The pho was decent and i like that they give you the idea to keep refilling your noodles for satisfaction too! We ordered the garlic butter chicken wings, rib eye garlic noodles and lomo saltado to go. The food was excellent. The garlic butter chicken wings were well seasoned and juicy. It was also slightly crispy, but wasn't as crispy since we ate it a bit later. It was Asian style so you can taste the fish sauce which was delicious. The rib eye was tender and flavorful. The garlic noodles could've used a bit more salt or oyster sauce but they were pretty garlicky! The lomo saltado was also delicious. The French fries weren't as crispy since we ordered it to go and got home later, but they were still slightly crispy and flavorful. I envision that they taste amazing fresh. The filet mignon was also tender. The green sauce that came with the lomo saltado was amazing. It's a must have when you eat lomo saltado. Broke my vegetarian diet momentarily because I just had to try their egg rolls which has pork in it but it was worth it! It's fried to a perfect papery crispiness relying on the lettuce wrap to catch all them crumbs while you wet the whole bite with lil fish sauce, I remember this and I enjoyed every last bite. But the mistake was sticking to vegetarian entree mixing with a great decision to adding them two fried eggs. That made the meal. I wish I brought my own eggs to have them fry up.. BYOE. I've had this place bookmarked for soooooo long. I was beginning to think I wouldn't geta round to trying it lol My husband is not a fan of Pho. I always bring it up and he declines. Took my grandma here for dinner on a Sunday night at 5pm. It wasn't crazy busy, we probably waited 10-15min for a table. I noticed that there were about 2-3 waiters for 14 total tables so I understood that service might be a bit slow. The food took a bit long to arrive, however the food was good (but forgettable). We ordered the garlic noodle with chicken, fried chicken wings, Thai tea, lomo saltado beef and the short rib pho. Overall the food was a solid 4/5, I thought the pho broth was slightly too salty but the flavor was good. The fries on the lomo saltado could be crispier but it doesn't take away from the taste. The Thai tea was too strong and had a bitter taste at the end, i couldn't finish it, but my husband liked it. The service is why this is a 4/5. My husband asked three times for extra noodles which was a bit odd since the noodles shouldn't take too long to just grab and go. When he has asked the 3rd time, the waiter handed him the extra noodles in less than 5min. By then, the soup had already gone cold. Again, I want to reiterate that there were only 2-3 waiters for the full 14 tables. Overall, this place is a solid 4/5. However, I probably wouldn't make the effort to come here if Sup Noodle Bar is closer to me. It's hard not to compare this to Sup Noodle Bar as there is so much overlap in the menu. I would say that this place has better pho than Sup, but Sup has the better Lomo. Again, I would recommend this review does not deter others from trying this out. read more

I asked for their popular entree's and was highly recommended Lomo Saltado aside from the Pho's. I ordered: Lomo Saltado (couldn't not try it) - delicious and a must-try!!! It is their popular peruvian dish with filet mignon seasoned with red onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, and french fries. Served with steamed rice. The beef was made medium rare and the tastes was perfect! Shrimp Pho - though the serving was a bit small, the tastes was good. The beef broth was made just right, not too salty, but flavorful. Their shrimp (5) size was big compared to other Pho places I've been. Note: their pho noodles are unlimited refills so eat your heart out. Hmm not quite sure what happened at OMELI, it has great reviews, food looks good and there was a huge line but it still was lackluster. I'm not writing this review because I set the bar too high, it just didn't exceed normal expectations of a restaurant. We came here on a Saturday night somewhere around 9pm-10pm. It was a full house and we waited about 20-30 mins to be seated. To start off, the service was not the best at all with the staff barely attending our table taking our orders, they were looking at us a lot because they knew the food was taking forever. I think our food came out 45 mins-1 hours after we ordered. Worse part they came out at different times but with a huge gap. The Lomo Saltados came out way earlier than the pho. I thought the pho would easily come out quicker, isn't it prepped hours in advance? Staff was loving the full house and were taking those vids for social media but all of us were starving for food. As for the food, I got the filet mignon pho which was pretty good! We ordered more noodles because it was unlimited and the waiter didn't seem like he wanted to get it. All of us at the end of the table were like what the and then they were undercooked and hard. We didn't even finish them and our group left unsatisfied. Doesn't makes sense to be open late if the staff can't handle it they are understaffed, I just wanted to go back and help cook myself lol. The boyfriend and I came here after a concert at Honda Center on Saturday night, about 10pm. It wasn't busy, maybe 3-4 other parties were seated, but only one gentleman waiting, so we kept that in mind when waiting. It wasn't loud and we could hear our conversation, which is always a plus. We ordered the beef short rib pho that everyone recommended on Yelp, the shaken beef with garlic noodles, the spicy wontons, the cucumber salad, and a guanabana drink. Listen, the pho broth and noodles were good. Less flavorful than some, "clean" is a good way to describe it... but skip the ribs. They are not tender, chewy, difficult to eat. Been here 3 times now and had a great experience each time. Lomo saltado seems to be the go to order here other than their pho. Really like the green sauce that comes with the dish and the flavor of the fries /meat alone is already very good. Pho is super good here too and you get unlimited noodles (extra soup is not unlimited). I've also tried their fried rice here and that also did not disappoint. Definitely will be coming back. Had stumbled across this place as I was looking for more places in OC to add to my "want to try' collection. After running a 2k, let alone a rainy week, me and 2 other friends decided to check this place out. While getting pho was something that would've been good, we wanted to try other things we might not normally get Here's what we ordered: Chicken Wings - on the menu it mentioned it was garlic tossed with their special house sauce which has a base of fish sauce in it. When it came to our table, it was blisteringly hot out of the fryer. I think it could stay to be tossed in the sauce a bit more or be made a bit more viscous y, maybe honey. The first piece i had; I barely noticed any sauce. The 2nd I deliberately tossed it at the bottom of the bowl. I could then take the house sauce they were talking about. It's great fried chicken regardless and I think worth the price. Lomo saltado - The first dish that came to our table and I would say it doesn't disappoint. The beef used was succulent and tender and the cilantro sauce (aji verde) was done well to meld the flavors of the ingredients together. The dish itself had a good amount of breath of wok to it, but I would say that this lomo saltado was on the tad oilier side for me compared to others. Soft shelled Crab Curry - curious about their other specialties, we settled on the crab curry and I think it was somewhat lacking in the fragrance of the curry itself. I think if we were able to impart some more crab umami into the curry and then that'll give it more of an identity. It does come with a wedge of lime; however, I would say that having it before and after that the lime should be used sparingly. The presentation is nicely done though. Ribeye garlic noodles - I would say this was likely the weakest of the dishes we ordered. While i don't recall ever having garlic noodles before, the impression i got was that it was garlic slices fried in oil, after crisping up they were taken out and the noodles were tossed in. I think the attempt was to aim for a more organic flavor profile, but I also think that the aji verde sauce that came with it also stole the show here. It honestly felt like i was just eating tallarin saltado without the peppers. Upon entering, it's a small but cozy environment all in all. The interior decoration was purposefully done, to not only set it apart from the original space, but invite a homey aesthetic where it would be a good night with friends or a date. In my head, i remembered it being having more earthy tones but I'll let the photo dictate that. Parking is readily available as it's situated in a normal plaza with plenty of parking. Might be hard to find during peak times when folks are going to the EoS gym. I would say I would have to give it to their meat vendor as the meat quality here is great. A great place to try Vietnamese fusion food! On first impression, the restaurant looked very clean and welcoming. The staff were all very kind and attentive, making sure to stop by consistently to make sure we were having a good meal. For food, we ordered the Lomo Saltado, the garlic noodle with grilled chicken, and the fried chicken wings. The Lomo Saltado was the definitely the best part of the meal. The meat and vegetables were cooked wonderfully in a delicious sauce with crispy fries and rice that paired well together. It also had a creamy green sauce on the side that added more flavors to the dish if wanted. The fried chicken wings were also really good. The juicy wings had a nicely seasoned flavor and the outer layer was perfectly thin and crispy. Unfortunately, the garlic noodles with grilled chicken was a little underwhelming. The garlic flavor was not that strong in the noodles and the edge parts of the grilled chicken were slightly burned and hard to chew. It also came with the same green sauce as the lomo saltado, which helped the flavor of the dish a little. Overall, I had a great experience and most of the food we ordered were superb. Went here with a large group of friends on a Saturday and although they were busy and the place is on the smaller side, they stuck tables together and were able to accommodate us with us waiting maybe 25 min. Not bad. The food was amazing. The salmon fried rice and the shrimp friend rice are really good for their rice options. They also have a curry rice that is amazing. Their drinks are also really good-- I would probably get either their Vietnamese coffee or the taro coffee if you've never had them before. They have vegan/vegetarian options and you can also ask to remove the meat from most noodle or rice dishes. Again, it's a smaller space so if you go on the weekend, there's probably going to be a wait, but huge shared lot parking that is free all night. We came here after a show not far from this place. It's in a commercial mall tucked away in the corner next to a large clothing store. As soon as we walked in the smell of the food hit us and we knew this place was going to be good. We came for the Vietnamese food but I was surprised to see that one of their specials was their lomo saltado. We started with their spicy wontons, then had their bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodles with pork), grilled tiger prawn noodles, and ribeye pho. Never in my life did I think I would be able to order a Lomo saltado and a Pho Tai at the same time. This is the type of fusion I live for and it was so well done. Omeli mixes the best of both worlds, nailing the nuances of both Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisine very well. The Lomo saltado was perfectly flavored, the sauce that came with it was super flavorful and the beef was tender. The rice is a bit on the drier side but I advise you to mix it all together. The excess sauce gets soaked right up, creating this delicious combination with the beef and veggies. As for the Pho Tai, there was nothing to complain about. It came out piping hot, broth was deep, and flavors were rich. It was fuel for a weary soul after traveling. Highly recommend. Now where Omeli came slightly short was in service and cleanliness. I did notice they were short staffed, and there was a waitress who was bringing out food and bussing tables at the same time with the same pair of gloves. A message to management, I hope you require your staff to switch their gloves after every bussing in order to prevent cross contamination and food poisoning, or designate one person to just bus entirely while the other brings out food. Omeli Kitchen truly impressed me with their fast and genuinely polite service...you feel welcomed from the moment you order. The food, though, is what really keeps me coming back. The oxtail fried rice is incredibly generous with the meat portions. It's rich, extremely filling, and packed with deep, comforting flavor...definitely a dish that satisfies every craving. My ultimate favorite has to be the Lomo Saltado. I've already ordered it twice, and both times I cleaned the plate completely--no crumbs left behind. The flavors are perfectly balanced and consistently delicious. The Lomo Saltado was bursting with flavor from start to finish, and that green sauce is truly the icing on the cake...it ties everything together beautifully and adds the perfect finishing touch. Was craving lomo saltado and decided to give this place a try! On a Sunday night it was relatively busy, put our name down on the waitlist and took around 20 minutes to be seated. Pho Combination 5/10 - the broth lacked a little flavor and the noodles were a bit undercooked. The meat was standard. Nice that they have free refills on the noodles but wouldn't come back for the pho. Lomo Saltado 9/10 - Generous portions and the flavors were really good. I enjoyed that the fries were crispy while still holding the flavoring of the sauce well. Steak was cooked well too. My partner and I visited OMELI Kitchen for lunch. Although it is a Vietnamese‑Peruvian fusion restaurant, we only ordered their pho. I had the pho beef belly, whereas my partner had the pho combination. The broth tasted aromatic and flavorful, while the beef was very tender. It was a pretty good meal, but did not blow us away. Something worth noting is that if you dine in, you can have free unlimited noodle refills. However, the bowl of pho itself was already filling enough, so we did not need any additional noodles. I came to eat today and ordered alot of different dishes that I havent tried before. I got Shaken beef , beef spring roll , oxtail fried rice, taro coffee, hot green tea, & ribeye curry were all decious. . The ox tail ftiend was food and it came with a runny egg which i really liked. The iced tart coffee was sweet and delicious with a hint of coconut cream. I really enjoyed the rib eye curry dish with the white rice and salad. Those were delicious as well with the green steak sauce. The service was awesome and eberyonr was so kind to keep checking on us.
