I was in the area and saw this Bahn Mi shop, haven't had one in a while so thought I would grab a couple. Service was quick, and lots of choices. We got the Dac Biet, and beef teriyaki bahn mi sandwiches. Where do I even begin. The two Dac Biet were lacking the meats and other items that should be in it. According to the Yelp summary it stated lots of meat. There was a small and I mean small amount of carrots, no daikon, no cucumber, little pate spread. I ask the preparer to add extra cilantro to the sandwiches. They put one sprig of cilantro in each sandwich. Don't even get me started on the bread it crumbled in my hand and was tasteless. I am not sure if the bread was old or what, but it was not good at all. You couldn't give these sandwiches away even with the buy 2 get one free special. Worst BMC eggroll I've ever tried. I bought 8 pieces at 12:30noon. They are warm outside but almost cool inside. The wrap was not fully cooked and hard thick inside. As prices are continuing to climb on everything and anything in United States and especially in California, you will never find another Vietnamese spot with prices so low. A bowl of Pho is $15.95 to $23.95 in most places these days. Here I got a bowl for $11.95. The sandwiches were $5.95 and buy two and get one free. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. I picked up a bunch of to go items for later consumption and got a couple of soups and sandwiches to go. 2 Pho, 3 Bahn Mis, Spring Rolls, 3 Fried buns, and iced coffee for $55. Unbeatable prices. The reason why this place is not getting the fifth star from me is because the rare steak for the Pho was absolutely horrible and chewy and I think it's either a bad cut or the wrong cut of beef for Pho. And the other reason is because the place needs a little facelift and some deep cleaning because it's starting to look old and dirty. read more

Also is a restaurant for decent Vietnamese food including Pho & grilled pork chops. They offer different milk teas with tapioca boba toppings $ 6 but have a BOGO free deal. What we ordered ~ milk teas w rainbow jelly is good. ~ thai green milk tea with tapioca aka boba is good. Not overly sweet. Tapioca boba is decent. ~ Tri color dessert is a known Vietnamese Che aka dessert. A bit on the sweet side but teally good. Also have Vietnamese dessert/Che. I'll have to update on their banh mi. Did the ownership change? The menu has changed for sure. Now there's hot pot on the menu - very confusing. No more 2 for 1 on the milk teas. Now they have small and large. We decided to check out Pho Banh Mi Che Cali based on a recommendation, and overall it was a solid experience. We started with the barbecue ground beef banh mi and the shrimp spring rolls. The banh mi was savory and flavorful, though I did feel like there was a bit more bread than meat but still enjoyable overall. The shrimp spring rolls came with the dipping sauce and were delicious all the way through, fresh and well balanced. Not sure what it was exactly as I have held off from writing this review until today, but when we went to ask for a refund, the meat was awful there was something wrong with , it was painfully dry. The Manager/owner said that's how it comes and I said that we don't want it please give us a refund and he refused. Refused to give me his name and proceeded to what I presume was profanity in his language. We left the plate right there on the counter for him since we seriously did not want any of it . 0 stars is applicable here, if they had even 1 ounce of customer service to own up and make it right we would still be going, this is how you lose 2 regulars. read more

Wait time varies, I recently visited and I second in line and it took about 12 minutes to get my sandwich which I unusually long for a small sandwich, but it's worth it. They share the space with a Pho place, so if you say you want a number 1, you have to clarify if you want a number 1 from the Pho place or from them. I will say in terms of service, today while I was getting food for myself because I didn't feel like eating here, but my mom did, I tried to call about three separate times within 20 minute intervals so I could just ask if I could place a pick up order. in the three times that I called while I went to get groceries at target, and also get in and out for myself, and then once more as I was leaving the In-N-Out drive-through, not once did they pick up. it's not something super trivial for me, because I have time to sit and wait if I go there, but it would've been nice for them to pick up at least once. food was quick, even though there was a short line, I got R5 with fried rice and A5. ambience is always good, the place is usually empty so it's not like there's a whole lot to look at. It's just their kitchen, a restaurant to the side, and a little deli section for you to check out some drinks. Well the banh mi is borderline awful here, with the bread that hurts the top of your mouth and the filling to bread ratio lacking enough meat. However, it's still in business because it's the cheapest you can find. When you buy 3, it's only $4 a sandwich. They also have bogo drinks and daily pho specials. The wait can take long and they are feeding those who are on a budget. However, I'd recommend going to Costco which is in the same parking lot, or go to another option (not Lees) all-together. I'd prefer to spend $8 for a fresh and tastier banh mi sandwich. The dessert was a complete scam--95% water with almost no filling, yet they charge nearly $4.50 each. Total rip-off. The Pad Thai was disgusting: tasteless, greasy, and they actually wrapped hot noodles in plastic. It's unsafe and a serious health hazard. When I complained, the lady owner shrugged it off and told me it was "too late." Completely unprofessional and rude. The place itself looks filthy, totally empty, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the kitchen was just as bad. On top of that, the atmosphere is sketchy with homeless people hanging around right outside. If they're cutting corners this badly on food quality, and cleanliness, who knows what else is going on behind the scenes.
